Entries
1. a tarnished etched silver locket 2. This ancient locket seems to be fused shut and is no longer attached to a chain. The etching on one side is mostly worn away but appears to vaguely resemble musical notes. Curiously, the other side of the locket is clearly etched with a perfectly striated feather emerging from a tiny lockpick rather than a quill. 3. an amethyst and silver talisman 4. This rounded oblong talisman is no bigger than one's thumb and has been rubbed smooth, perhaps by worry or a wish for luck. It appears at first glance to be a common river rock, but the glimmer of sparkling amethyst and streaks of silver laced throughout tell a different story. Upon closer examination, an engraving can be seen on one side of the stone of a hummingbird in flight. 5. some polished pink prayer beads 6. These highly polished pink pearl prayer beads are threaded alternately with tiny silver beads onto fine silver filaments that have been woven together for strength. A short series of alternating pink pearls and silver beads dangle from the center of the set, ending with a carved rose quartz heart. Inside the heart is a freely rotating small carving, also in rose quartz, of a winged figure with wings wrapped around a smaller figure in a protective embrace.
1. a maoral fox sculpture 2. The sculpture is small but lifelike in the form of a fox positioned in saunter. Carved into each side are saddle bags in the shape of locksmith toolkits. 3. a twisted multicolored shard 4. Four pieces of crystal are twisted together to form a multicolored shard. Each crystal has a different hue, and the entire shard resonates with holy energy. 5. a gold Pennant Chase trophy 6. The trophy is fashioned completely from gold. On the base, in striking detail and with a triumphant pose, stands a figure with their arm raised into the air with a Pennant Chase baton pointing upwards. The figure wears a small backpack overflowing with pennants. On the front of the base is a plaque that reads, "Pennant Chase Champion." Beneath the base there appears to be remnants of a label that couldn't be fully removed with "...thousand silvers..." the only details that can be made out.
1. a silvery, demonic wolf, fetish 2. Upon closer inspection, the fetish depicts a demonic wolf-like creature commonly described as an Aishan. Though the fetish seems to be very well detailed, the only part that seems to focus your gaze is the overly sized maw, filled with massive teeth. 3. a snow white, polar bear, symbol 4. Upon closer inspection, the symbol itself is a representation of a sleeping white polar bear, with two large paws crisscrossed under the bear’s head. 5. an ancient,Faendryl, emblem 6. The superior craftsmanship and intricate artwork of the House of Faendryl can be seen etched with painstaking detail across the face of this emblem. Due to its ancient age, the words at the bottom of the emblem are no longer legible.
1. a heavily-worn smooth stone 2. This stone appears to be a simple, smooth stone one might pick up along a river or stream. The uniform pattern of wear on the surface of the stone indicates it has been rubbed regularly, possibly to help calm unsettled nerves. Tiny remnants of lint suggest it has been routinely kept in a pocket, though a leather cord is tied securely around the stone to alternately allow for it to be worn around the neck. 3. a deeply-gouged engraved silver medallion 4. The raised design on the face of this medallion is poorly-detailed, suggesting an amateur level of skill from the engraver. When closely inspected, the faint representation of a sunflower can be made out amongst the rough lines and scratches in the metal. A deep gouge, seemingly caused by an incredibly sharp blade, runs across the haphazardly-outlined petals along one side of the medallion. 5. a tiny sephwir cricket 6. Intricate detail has been painstakingly captured in the carving of this tiny cricket. The cricket looks happy, almost as if it is seconds away from continuing its merry chirping. A small clump of dirt hangs onto one side of the cricket, possibly indicating it was recently dropped or placed on the ground. An inscription can be seen along the underside of the cricket. In Common, it reads: "I will lead you nowhere."
1. a delicate kut'zikokra emblem 2. This small crossbow appears to be cocked and loaded with a tiny bolt. Looking closely, you can even make out the bodkin tip and perfectly-trimmed fletchings. 3. a tiny vaalorn aegis 4. Decorated with sharp little spikes, this shield sparkles with hints of ultramarine and argent. 5. a svelte katana symbol 6. Affixed with an absurdly small lever at its base, this sword appears sharp enough to draw blood.
1. an amorphous/jagged black/silhouette 2. A loose cluster of ragged rolaren scraps, cloudy glaes shards, and delicate wrought iron filigree slide freely around some hidden core of intricate machinery, producing a formless and constantly shifting silhouette which seems to absorb all light. The effect draws the eye but leaves it nowhere to focus, resembling nothing so much as the flat black infinity of a clouded night sky. Strange and unrecognizable letters occasionally flare with the light of a foreign valence. 3. a rampant/manticore/badge 4. Forged in the profile of a mechanical winged manticore raised upon its hind legs, scorpion sting poised to strike, this badge commemorates the victims of the krolvin attacks and the rampage of the mechanical monstrosity known as the Ravager in Ivastaen of 5121. 5. a brass-thorned/bramble/brooch 6. The smooth edges and flowing curves of the brooch lend it the air of something grown naturally rather than cast in metal, and the gleaming, needle-sharp thorns twisting at every angle provide an implicit threat. A dark-stained haon raspberry is subtly hidden within the heart of the tangle, almost passing as a trick of the light. In the Common language, it reads: Ranger Guild Master
1. a monochrome bestial effigy 2. Carved from a small chunk of ebony, the left side of the effigy has been artfully crafted into that of a grimy black wolfish beast with contorted features. It is shown pulling away from it’s opposite side in anger or fear, while the carved right side depicts an ashen-grey man. He is expressionless, devoid of any chiseled emotion despite it’s counterparts struggle to withdraw from him. The natural colors of the wood transition subtly from dark to light, melding the two forms near seamlessly. 3. a braided silvery hair token 4. The token has been fashioned from two separate locks of hair. The first is thick and silvery, that has been woven gently around fragments of the second. It is wispy brown with stains of crimson, forever embraced with its partner into a simple braid. Binding their ends together into a loop is an old cloth. The material is faded and marred with the signs of battle, yet the faint clues of tartan still remain. The words, “Mother and Father, Always.” are delicately embroidered along the cloths edge. 5. a Wsalamir medicine bag fetish 6. The bag was once made of fine black leather bounded tightly with white cords, but time, magic, or unknown means have petrified the ancient material. Partially obstructed by wolf fur tassels that now lay forever frozen against bag are stitched snowflake patterns and Saramar runes of blue and grey, bordered by a ring of now dull frost opals.
1. a ribbon-tied cedar scroll symbol 2. A cylinder of pale cedar has been carved and sanded to resemble a scroll with the top and bottom edges rolled in toward each other to protect the contents from view. A deep azure cotton ribbon is tied around the scroll carving in an intricate bow, the four loops arrayed to resemble a dragonfly's wings. The Aelotian word "Ne'sutara" is elegantly painted along the bottom roll in deep azure that matches the ribbon. 3. a polished rose quartz heart 4. The rounded heart-shaped quartz is polished to a high shine, drawing attention to the white inclusions scattered throughout. One side has been flattened slightly and carefully carved with two acantha leaves following the lines of the heart, their tips curling in toward each other. 5. a red-washed oak ship's wheel 6. The wheel barely spans the width of an average human hand, but each spoke has been intricately carved into an elongated sea drake before being capped with a leather-wrapped handle. A light wash of red stain covers the oak, and tiny garnet chips are set at the eyes of each sea drake.
1. a dead wizard badge 2. Haphazardly painted on the cheap tin badge is a caricature of a wizard sprawled on the ground. The old man is depicted with a bushy white beard, voluminous blue robes, small black X marks on his eyes, and gnarled hands that are conspicuously empty. In bold white text beneath the image a phrase is written: "Your spells are not enough. Are you holding your runestaff?" 3. an exploded chest seal 4. The shattered remnants of a treasure chest are etched into the surface of the dark bronze seal. Splashes of color mark the locations of partially melted coins and fragments of sparkling gemstones scattered around the destroyed container, while an odd greasy black spot and humanoid eyeball lay directly in front of it. Large text below the scene reads: "If at first you don't succeed, you're probably dead. TRIPLE CHECK FOR TRAPS." 5. an excited puppy emblem 6. A strip of gold wraps around the edge of the fist-sized wooden disc, encircling a carved image at its center. A woman in a simple dress lays face down on the ground, her features hidden and her arms limp at her sides. Beside her is a small puppy wearing a leash, the far end of which is looped over and held in its mouth. Motion lines around the puppy's tail give the illusion of rapid wagging. Flowing script above the pair reads: "Even if you don't want to live for yourself, live for someone else."
