A coraesine relic is an auction-quality artifact that can be attached to an unscripted melee weapon to apply unique scripted flares called QuickFlares that are inspired by true coraesine weapons. Attaching a coraesine relic to a weapon is permanent. It was created by GM Wyrom. It increases the item difficulty by 100. RelicThe coraesine relic by itself can be worn as a prop. It serves no mechanical purpose until applied to an unscripted melee weapon. Attaching the relic to a weapon is permanent.
You analyze your coraesine relic and sense that the item cannot be altered in any way. The creator has also provided the following information: The relic has the following verbs: PUT/DROP - Attach the relic to an unscripted weapon to gain QuickFlares. Once placed on a weapon, it cannot be undone. WEAR/REMOVE - Not sure what weapon to place it on? Show it off until you do! LORESONG - The story of coraesine.
WeaponOnce attached to an unscripted melee weapon, the coraesine relic applies QuickFlares to it. QuickFlares are a unique type of scripted flare inspired by true coraesine weapons. Activating QuickFlares off costs 1 spirit point. While on, the relic costs stamina and mana to power the Quick Flares, allowing the weilder to get additional swings in on a single attack. Each extra swign costs 10 stamina and 10 mana. It can allow up to 5 extra swings with a single flare. If the wielder does not have the resources to make an extra swing, it will turn itself off.
You analyze your weapon and sense that the item is largely free from merchant alteration restrictions. The creator has also provided the following information: The weapon contains a special flare. It can be freely altered. The falcata has the following verbs: CLENCH - To activate QuickFlares. It cost 1 spirit to turn the ability on. If already activiated, clenching the falcata will cause it to go dormant. ATTACK - When attacking, you'll gain the ability to perform QuickFlares. You can have upto 5 QuickFlare strikes depending on luck and resources. Each QuickFlare cost 10 stamina and 10 mana on a successful hit, up to 5 hits. A successful and lucky streak of 5 QuickFlares will cost 50 stamina and 50 mana. If there isn't enough resources to perform a QuickFlare, the falcata will go dormant. TILT - Show off the coraesine relic on your falcata. RUB - Show off the coraesine relic on your falcata. RAISE - Cause a vortex of wind to burst from your falcata. POSE - Victory pose. LORESONG - The story of coraesine. Normal alteration rules apply, but the show description always includes the relic at the beginning.
LoresongThe coraesine relic has the same loresong as coraesine weapons, which is present in both the relic and attached form.
Additional InformationThe relic has been auctioned as a grey-swirled coraesine relic. Attaching it to a weapon adds the following line automatically ahead of any show description: Bound to the falcata's hilt is a grey-swirled coraesine relic. Relic in Action** The coraesine relic on your razern katana flares up with a blazing white-grey aura! Vicious winds curl around you in a spiraling vortex, increasing your momentum as you let loose a lightning-quick strike! ** Behind the ScenesGM Wyrom has said that the coraesine relic was inspired by the Relic from Final Fantasy 6. Lahke shared the following information at the 2022 Premium Auction: Lahke says, "A coraesine relic. It can attach to an unscripted weapon."
