Cog and Zephyr saddles were first introduced at Rumor Woods in 2021 following the release of tortoise mounts. While they behave similar to Saddle Me Up saddles, they come in two forms and are exclusively for tortoise mounts. The hailx is the perfect seat for a modern-minded traveler and is gnomish inspired with a mix of mechanical gadgetry within a natural wood base. The rivellia is the perfect seat for a nature-minded traveler and is Windcrafter inspired. Both rivellia and hailx can be unlocked from via certificate to expand which fluff verbs they have.
HailxThe hailx is the perfect seat for a modern-minded traveler and is gnomish inspired with a mix of mechanical gadgetry within a natural wood base. When not in use, the hailx is referred to as a "boxed hailx" and seems to be little more than a wooden box with knot ends on the front and back of the box and stirrups sticking out of the bottom-front corners. When placed upon a tortoise mount's neck and cinched into place, however, you can utilize it in the form it was intended to take: lift the top of the hailx up, and it springs up into a cushioned seat! With arm rests! And jointed stirrups that the hailx will extend out for you (so that you can rest your weary legs, even while you ride along)! While a hailx can be altered and customized within the restrictions of its analyze, its show description will always include a portion that is hard coded.
You take a closer look at a unicorn-carved boxed hailx. You analyze the unicorn-carved hailx and sense that the creator has provided the following information: --------- TORTOISE SADDLES - ANALYZE INFO --------- This hailx is a gnomish-style Cog and Zephyr Saddle meant for use with "tortoise" mounts. Verb Sets active on this hailx: *Verb Set 1: DROP/PUT, GET, MOUNT (with styles), and DISMOUNT (with styles). MOUNT styles -- MOUNT {STYLE} {target tortoise} -- that are valid for this hailx's current setup are: RIGHT; LEFT; PALM; NECK; JUMP; GRACE-L; GRACE-R DISMOUNT styles -- DISMOUNT {STYLE} -- that are valid for this hailx's current setup are: PALM; NECK, JUMP, SLIDE, GRACE-L, GRACE-R --------- ALTERATION INFORMATION --------- The noun cannot change. So what can you do? Any merchant may alter the article, adjective, and/or long description of the hailx. They can also add a show description that will append to the hard-coded LOOK. Any merchant may toggle the seat/arm rest cover material and the base wood. All alterations must be in keeping with the saddle's style (see below). Note that some aspects of the LOOK are hard-coded (such as the length of the stirrups) and cannot currently be modified by a merchant. This saddle's style (which is not currently eligible to be changed to another style) is set to hailx (gnomish). For alteration purposes, keep the following in mind:. The design, when not being utilized on a tortoise, is that of a carved wooden, curve-edged cube that houses its gnomish-inspired mechanisms. It utilizes a wrapped and cinched cording system for saddling and has padding on the underside. As part of saddling, the upper section folds out into a box-bottomed seat with arm rests and a seatback. The base has semi-stiff, metal jointed-billet stirrups that retract and extend via an internal mechanism. It is somewhat heavy. The hailx can have two minor customizations set if not already addressed in the base/long/show. They are: - the box's main wood. Currently: applewood - the seatback/arm rest fabric covering. Currently: cobalt silk Also note that the hailx is called a "boxed hailx" when not saddled on a mount -- your hailx will automatically reflect this naming quirk depending on whether it is saddled or not. ----------------------------------------------------- You get no sense of whether or not the hailx may be further lightened.
An odd, applewood cube with curved edges and two horizontal seams, the boxed hailx is recognizable as such primarily due to the set of stirrups jutting out from the lower front corners.
RivelliaThe rivellia is the perfect seat for a nature-minded traveler and is Windcrafter inspired. Each rivellia is crafted from a quite large leaf that is able to be folded up for ease of carrying when not in use. When placed upon a tortoise mount's neck in open formation, one may utilize the small glass vial imbedded in the leaf. The rivellia then takes on a life of its own, adhering to the tortoise, lifting its edges into a comfortable chair-like configuration, and offering its attached vines as stirrups (for, again, resting your weary legs, because we all know that riding on your tortoise is such taxing work). While a rivellia can be altered and customized within the restrictions of its analyze, its show description will always include a portion that is hard coded.
You take a closer look at a red-speckled taupe rivella. You analyze the taupe rivella and sense that the creator has provided the following information: --------- TORTOISE SADDLES - ANALYZE INFO --------- This rivella is a Windcrafter-style Cog and Zephyr Saddle meant for use with "tortoise" mounts. Verb Sets active on this rivella: *Verb Set 1: DROP/PUT, GET, MOUNT (with styles), and DISMOUNT (with styles). MOUNT styles -- MOUNT {STYLE} {target tortoise} -- that are valid for this rivella's current setup are: RIGHT; LEFT; PALM; NECK; JUMP; GRACE-L; GRACE-R DISMOUNT styles -- DISMOUNT {STYLE} -- that are valid for this rivella's current setup are: PALM; NECK, JUMP, SLIDE, GRACE-L, GRACE-R --------- ALTERATION INFORMATION --------- The noun cannot change. So what can you do? Any merchant may alter the article, adjective, and/or long description of the rivella. They can also add a show description that will append to the hard-coded LOOK. Any merchant may toggle the veining color, main leaf color, and leaf shape. Alterations cannot indicate light or a lack of light coming from the rivellia (i.e. no glowing, internal shadows, etc.) -- dyes trying to bypass this guideline will not be accepted. All alterations must be in keeping with the saddle's style (see below). Note that some aspects of the LOOK are hard-coded (such as the length of the stirrups) and cannot currently be modified by a merchant. This saddle's style (which is not currently eligible to be changed to another style) is set to rivellia (Windcrafter). For alteration purposes, keep the following in mind:. It is crafted from a treated vellia leaf. When it is infused with the substance from the small glass vial imbedded near the front, it adheres directly to a tortoise's neck and takes on a semblance of life while also forming a chair that is subtly angled backwards. The leaf's veining is somewhat luminous when in this state. It has vine stirrups. It is fairly lightweight. The rivella can have three minor customizations set if not already addressed in the base/long/show. They are: - the color of the rivellia's veining. Currently: dark taupe - the main color of the vellia leaf. Currently: red-speckled taupe - the leaf shape of the vellia leaf. Currently: hastate ----------------------------------------------------- You get no sense of whether or not the rivella may be further lightened.
As indications of its inactive state, the rivellia's leathery, membranous material is semi-flexible and without any particular form, its dark taupe veins bear no inner illumination, and its multitudinous vines stubbornly cling flush to the bottom and sides.
