Premium Services

Sadie provides services for Premium Points, located in the Sadie's Lounge (Room 3204009).

Background

Sadie has been evaluating her current approach for offering Premium Points services and is striving to offer a system that's more friendly and efficient for customers. She doesn't like how easy it is for services to get "stuck" and require assistance in order to move them forward. This happens quite frequently! Furthermore, she'd like to be automatically complete some services (WPS, flares, lightening/deepening, etc.) on eligible items in the future, without any delay. Given all of that, she has refreshed her system in hopes that it delivers better overall service and can be expanded on in order to offer future automatic services.

Please read the following example below for a walkthrough of using the new system.

Hints and additional information not shared in the game are noted in between log clips.

Ordering and Completing a Service

Sadie looks quite tired, almost to the point of exhaustion.  Tucked into every nook and cranny of her many-pocketed vest are rolled up pieces of parchment.  A feathered quill and small, glass bottle filled with obsidian ink hang from a leather cord fashioned into a necklace.

Sadie takes a deep breath and says, "Most of the services that I offer are DELAYED SERVICES.  This means that, in order to maintain my exacting expectations for quality, my team of assistants need to review, perform, and check the work required to complete the service.

When you've chosen a service, I will explain whether it is a delayed service or, depending on the eligibility of the item, one I can complete on the spot.

If you've chosen a delayed service, I will ask you to hold the item you've chosen for your service in your RIGHT HAND.  Once you confirm the service, I will place a small Sadie Tag on your item.  Attached to the tag will be a small parchment that you will be able to WRITE more detailed information about your service request.  The tag should not affect your ability to use your item in the meantime.

In some cases, the scroll attached to the tag may have helpful questions you can answer that may make it easier for my assistants to quickly complete the service.  Be sure to READ the Sadie Tag for more information.  Once you read the questions, you'll respond to them using WRITE.  Only after responding to the helpful questions will my assistants be able to work on your request.

While you're adventuring, my team of assistants will make every effort to quickly respond to your request.  You will be notified of any questions, clarifications, issues, or updates with the information you provided on the tag.

You will also be notified of any changes to your request when you return to adventuring, so do not worry if you need to leave the lands.  While you will need to be actively adventuring in order to complete your service, every effort will be made to review and prepare for your service when you are away!

In some cases, I may give you a small FIGURINE or MASK with an attached Sadie Tag for some of my services that are not item-specific, such as a custom title or feature.

In order to proceed with your service, you will need to ensure you have enough Premium Points to satisfy the cost.  Some services have variable costs, and the final total will be charged when the service is completed by my assistants.

Sadie continues, "If you're ready to select this service, ask me for SERVICE ALTER2 again with the item you want serviced in your RIGHT hand within the next 30 seconds."

Sadie scribbles something down on a small piece of parchment and attaches it with a little dab of wax to your leather sheath.  Sadie smiles and says, "Here you go!  This tag has all the information you need.  Be sure to READ the tag in order to complete your request."

There may be a slight delay (~1-5 seconds) between requesting the service and getting the tag, so please be patient and don't leave the room. This is due to the additional time required to lookup your account's available Premium Points. If you leave, your service request will be automatically cancelled. If there is a significant delay with this, GMs will be notified automatically. If it continues to happen, please ASSIST.

If you LOOK ON your item you should be able to see the tag. However, if your item's script has a custom LOOK it may obscure the tag. But, you should still be able interact with it.

Sadie may deny your service depending on these conditions:
* For all of her services you must have a Premium Account.
* Some services are restricted to Platinum Accounts. These are Custom Tattoo, Mayhem Tattoo, Premium Home Item Alteration, and Enhancive Stripping. Sadie will also explain when a service is restricted to Platinum Accounts.
* You must have at least the base cost amount of Premium Points available for the service.
* The item you are requesting the service on must be appropriate for the service (for example, a Padding service must go on a piece of armor).
* You must be able to accept the weight of the additional tag.
* You can only have one open service of each type at a time.
* You can only have 5 total open services at a time.

Not all services require you to answer questions. Services such as WPS don't require any additional information and will be automatically ready to work on by Sadie's assistants after you order the service.

A Sadie tag pulses on your leather sheath, indicating there may be updates to your Sadie order from one of her assistants!
The system will notify you when Sadie's assistants update your order, whether it be beginning work on it, sending a message, or completing it. You will only be notified once every 4 hours, but this may be adjusted based on feedback. Once you review the updated information, you will not receive any notifications until another update is made. Sadie's assistants are also notified about any messages you write on your tag.

If you notice an issue with the work done on your item, feel free to WRITE TAG; {message} the issue and Sadie's assistants will review. The service will remain open until you pull the tag from your item. If you fail to pull the tag within a timely time, Sadie's assistants may cancel the order - but don't worry the work will still be complete and you can always ASSIST to have your issue looked at in the future.

Cancelling a Service
Sometimes, you may want to cancel a service before it's completed. In order to do that, simply PULL or THROW that tag associated with the service:

You reach for the tag, and as you do so you remember that this will also cancel your service request.  You will need make a new request in order to complete the service in the future.  To proceed, please CONFIRM by repeating this command again within 30 seconds.

Frequently Asked Questions
Why do I need to be online in order to complete a service?

Answer: Sadie's assistants need to be able to modify your item while you're in the game. This avoids the issue with the system making a record - which can get out of sync with your item - of the item and having your service get "stuck". Rest assured, Sadie's assistants will make every effort to prepare for your service even if you're not adventuring at the time. It's recommended to submit your orders with the character you play the most. Sadie's assistants are reminded when your order hasn't been updated in a while but you are adventuring as well!

What if I notice an issue with the modification?

Answer: If you notice before you pull your tag, please WRITE TAG; the issue. Otherwise, feel free to ASSIST like normal in order to have item issues corrected. Do not open a new Sadie service as this is subject to all of the restrictions listed above.

Where can Sadie be located?

Answer: Sadie is in Mist Harbor on the Isle of the Four Winds, located inside the Lighthouse at the current alter scroll location (room 3204009, go lighthouse, go east, go arch).

What if I have an issue requesting a service, either a service request that's not listed, filling out the required detail or having Sadie attach a tag to my item?

Answer: Please try to use the OTHER service for this and explain which service and item you are requesting the service on. If that still doesn't work, please ASSIST.

What if there are no updates to my service in a timely manner?

Answer: Please ASSIST to ask about it in order to have a GM take a look into the situation. Sadie's assistants will try to accept and update orders within 1-5 days, normally.
