Survival is one of two skinning skills, along with First Aid. While the skill has other functions, skinning seems to be the primary reason a character would train in this skill. Survival also affects a character's ability to forage, resist damage due to weather (Such as near Pinefar), build a fire, or find a hidden passageway.
Maximum Ranks and Training Costs
Survival is generally a low-cost skill. Every profession can train in it up to twice per level, except wizards.
