Striking from the shadows, Rogues are the masters of stealth combat. With speed and agility, Rogues maneuver and dodge their way through the battlefield. This makes them most adept with lighter weapons and armor, though they are proficient with a wide variety of equipment. Outside of combat, the Rogue is more than capable of training any skill that may suit their needs. Their unparalleled abilities at bypassing traps, opening locked doors or treasure chests, and spying out secret passages, make them valued members of any society. A Rogue is even capable of a modest amount of spellcasting, further increasing their versatility.

Profession Highlights

Rogues can achieve expertise in many different means of combat. They can hide and ambush enemies with melee or ranged weapons, use a shield or wield two weapons or be an unarmed brawler, wear either light or heavy armor, and fight well with or without magical aid. As a martial profession they can learn all Weapon Techniques of whichever types of weapons they train in, and have access to a wide variety of Feats, Combat Maneuvers, Shield Specializations, and Armor Specializations. They are the only profession able to train up to three times per level in Stalking and Hiding and Perception. They are also the best profession at Disarming Traps and Picking Locks, if trained in those skills. The Rogue Guild is available to all rogues of at least 15th level, giving access to additional combat maneuvers and locksmithing tools.
