Verb:TAP

The TAP verb is mostly a roleplay verb, although it also activates magic items. Items imbedded via Magic Item Creation (420) using TAP will have a shorter duration than those imbedded using RUB as the activator.

People Targets

Standard

You lightly tap Wyrom on the shoulder.
Aulis taps you lightly on the shoulder.
Aulis taps Wyrom lightly on the shoulder.

Cathedral Wedding

You tap {person} in that special way you know will get his/her attention.

Wavedancer Wedding

You turn to face {person}, placing your hands on your hips and tapping your foot expectantly.

Self Target

You tap yourself on the chest.
Aulis taps himself on the chest.

Creature Target

You glance at an ember-eyed fire wyrdling and tap your foot impatiently.
Aulis glances at an ember-eyed fire wyrdling and taps her foot impatiently.

Item Targets

Standard

You tap some shiny purple shoes.
Aulis taps some shiny purple shoes.

Bankbook

You drum your fingers along the cover of your red leather bankbook.
Aulis drums his fingers along the cover of his red leather bankbook.

Cigar

You tap the cigar, knocking a clump of ashes to the ground.

Pipe

You tap your mahogany pipe gently, causing the burning embers to glow briefly before you bring it to your lips and take a deep puff of its cherry-scented smoke.

Companion (Rangers)

You give the shadowy moor tiger a little tap between the shoulder blades. She turns her attentive gaze toward you.
Aulis gives the shadowy moor tiger a little tap between the shoulder blades. The tiger turns her gaze toward Aulis.

Sleeping

As you tap the sleeping shadowy moor tiger, the feline snuffles and shifts her weight.

House Verb

Tap Portal: Used by House officers to toggle the ability for non-members to enter your house. This is useful for events where you want to allow everyone to come inside.
