Job Shopkeeper
Shop Name Solhaven Grocer

Fozzeam is the proprietor of the Solhaven Grocer. Originally from Talador, he found safe refuge in Solhaven following the destruction of Talador.

Description

With a stout frame as tall as it is wide, Fozzeam has the build common to many dwarves. His ruddy hair and beard are trimmed short and neat, but also shot through with many streaks of grey. A burnished peridot-set silver pendant hangs from his neck, standing in constrast to the dark earth tones of his utilitarian outfit.

Ambients

One by one, Fozzeam empties the contents of a crate behind the counter onto its surface. Sliding them across the surface, he sorts them by contents. Taking a brush from a small inkpot, he carefully marks each jar, canister, and bowl with a careful script to mark its contents.

Fozzeam walks out from behind the counter and moves the ladder from the corner to lean against one of the sets of shelves. With the ladder in place, he sets about moving jars, bowls, and canisters from atop the counter to be stored on the shelves. As he places the last item, he looks over the shelves, then climbs down and returns the ladder back to the corner.

Questions

Home
"My family worked tha silver mines near Talador for our clan for several generations. Well until that bastard Lerep Hochstib came an' everything went wrong," answers Fozzeam with a grim look on his face, "Just tha start o' all tha tragedy ta come. Used ta be a beautiful place, an' might have been again - but instead it just all went wrong. An' now all tha'ss'a left be a wasteland thanks to that bastard Chaston Griffin. It was all just ta much ta bear. An' after years o' living here an' there, hoping this place can be just that." He takes a deep breath and lets it out, shaking his head, before returning to tending his wares.
Mining
"Mining? Me family were miners for generations. But when me grandfather died in tha silver mine, an' me father was wounded in tha raid afterwards...it was time for a change. Those mines be long gone along with everything else," Fozzeam says with a sigh, his hand rubbing the peridot-set silver pendant hanging around his neck, "Made tha choice ta go in a new direction even 'afore Talador was destroyed. Did what I cou' ta help make sure tha others that escaped had food. Now just trying ta do some good here an' get a fresh start. Everybody's gotta eat after all."
Solhaven
"Why did I end up here? Been trying ta find me way since Talador," Fozzeam replies, "All that aid Vornavis an' Aldora gave ta people who needed it really helped. After getting back on me feet, figured tha port here wou' be good place ta start. An' with tha help o' tha Mercantylers' Guild was able ta open up a place o' me own."
Talador
"Just a whole lot o' painful memories now. All tha good ones from me family working tha mines were ruined long ago, an' anything left was destroyed when it blew up," Fozzeam quietly answers, his hand covering his peridot-set silver pendant for a long moment, "When times get hard be when dwarves get ta work, as me father used ta say. An' tha'ss'a what I be here ta do."
Pendant
"This?" Fozzeam says, lifting up his burnished peridot-set silver pendant to be more visible, "Belonged ta me father back when he worked tha mines. Me clan always felt it kept miners safe. Did nae help me family too much at the end, but does help me remember them now that they be gone. An' maybe here it can find some luck again."
