Barnacles and Nautilus is a shop in the Merry Kraken, around the Flotilla, that specializes in writeable journals and writing accessories.

The proprietor is a bookish elven clerk.

Dozens of notes conveying sentiments of gratitude are attached to a large wall-mounted section of vibrant orange coral, interspersed with diminutive salmon and peach-colored periwinkle shells. Quills crafted from a wide assortment of avian feathers dangle from twine netting strung from one end of the ceiling to the other, while stacks of papers and covers are neatly organized along the room's perimeter. A bookish elven clerk stands behind a small counter that serves as a divider between shop owner and customer. You also see an important-looking sign.

Traveling
In the Common language, it reads:

I, Qaril, can create a custom journal for you.  You need only to purchase a cover and a sheaf of pages from me.  (Each completed volume will have twenty pages.)  I have expanded my knowledge of the types of books that I can make, so be sure to read further to see all of your options, and then ASK me about the one you are most interested in.  Please note that only I can bind the papers sold in this shop into a cover.  If you buy some here, make sure I fix it up for you before you leave, since they'll be useless once you leave this vessel.

Some obscure details about my wares:

Be aware when writing, that the spoken and written word are closely linked.  You must have a quill to write, but it need not be a quill purchased here.  Inkpots are not necessary as the pages have a magical element to them.  You may erase what you've written by CLEANing the page.  You may also TEAR the page to *permanently* remove it from the book.

PUSH, TURN, and FLIP will allow you to work with the individual pages.

The voucher can be used to unlock the quills purchased in this shop.  This unlock will provide a little more zest and will allow for some interaction between the quills and the final book products from Qaril.
