The INSPECT, APPRAISE, and ANALZYE verbs have been updated to give players a way to see the rarity level of their items and gemstones. Gemstones and wooden and metal materials that are Very Rare or Extraordinarily Rare must be provided for alteration services. Extremely rare items cannot be used in alterations, unless it is alter fodder with more specific rules. ALTER 41, 43, and 45 have all been updated to reflect the APPRAISE verb.

This will hopefully make it easier for you the players to see if a material must be provided for an alteration, or if it is restricted in some way. It will also tell you information on certain materials with specific exclusions, and if a material cannot take a dye.
