Description

Bittermere lichen grows on a host, often a decaying plant. As a lichen, it actually not a single organism, but rather fungi and algae living together in symbiosis.

Lore

While lichen generally is a real world plant, bittermere lichen is unique to Elanthia. There currently is no lore associated with it. It heals major bloodloss, offering the same effect as yabathilium fruit. Its name directly references the Bittermere Woods of Naidem.

Appearances

Bittermere lichen can be found only in Naidem. It can most easily be foraged in cultivated or rough terrain areas of the main Evermore Hollow grounds and in the Innocent's End and Vigil's End neighborhoods.

Note

When bittermere lichen was first announced as a new foraged item, it was described as healing major organ damage, similar to pothinir grass. However, the current version of it heals major bloodloss instead as of 10/21/23.
