Valence Weapon edged

Valence Weapons are part of the Valence armaments script set. They were introduced alongside Valence Armor at Duskruin Arena in February 2022. They were designed by GM Kenstrom and GM Mestys. Valence Weapons of all types synergize when used with Valence Armor. There are several varieties of Valence Weapons. This original version came in the form of edged weapons, such as swords and daggers. Additional Valence Weapon types were introduced in 2023, with blunt, ranged, and runestaff varieties. Each variety similar verb traps but has slightly different flavor messaging. Valence armaments are sold at the Beyond Barriers shop. Tier 1A Tier 1 Valence Weapon has a standard chance to flare with disintegration damage on successful attacks. They have access to one ability, plus a second special ability if used with Valence Armor. Slice of Shien'tyr: An AoE SMR attack to reduce foes' defenses, by -30 DS temporarily. Incision of the Igaesha: Special ability only available when used in conjunction with Valence Armor. Allows for follow-up double attacks for 60 seconds, based on the average total tiers unlocked between the weapon and armor. Cooldown: 60 minutes (-5 per total unlocked tiers, minimum 20 minutes).AnalyzeThe description of the rune-etched broadsword may be freely altered. The rune-etched broadsword is a Valence Weapon, which temporarily allows the wielder to tap into the energy of various other valences and channel that power in offensive and defensive ways. The broadsword is tier 1 of 4. This means that it has access to the following verbs: DROP, GET, WAVE (Slice of Shien'tyr). Bearing both a Valence Weapon and Valence Armor unlocks a special ability (Incision of the Igaesha), which is activated via TURN to grant a number of double strike attacks based on the average tier of the weapon and armor. Additionally, the weapon will have a standard chance to flare with disintegration damage on successful attacks. Each unlocked tier allows a chance for another successive flare to occur if the previous one was successful, with diminishing chances per flare. You might be able to have a talented merchant lighten the rune-etched broadsword for you. Usage
Tier 2At Tier 2, Valence Weapons have a 20% chance for a second flare when the tier 1 flare activates. They gain a new ability and two more fluff verb traps. The War Winds: An AoE SMR attack to knock down foes. Up to 5 creatures or a player. Cooldown: 5 minutes (-1 per tier above 2, minimum 3 minutes).Usage
Tier 3At Tier 3, Valence Weapons have a 10% for a third flare when the second flare activates. They gain a new ability and two more fluff verb traps. The Void's Grip: An SMR attack to do cold damage and root a foe in place. Cooldown: 5 minutes (-2 per tier above 3, minimum 3 minutes).Usage
Tier 4At Tier 4, Valence Weapons have a 5% chance for a fourth flare when the third flare activates. They gain one final ability, a boost to extraplanar bane affinity, and two more fluff verb traps. Life and Death: Increase AS/CS per successful attack for 30 seconds, costing health. AS (+10) and CS (+6) from each successful attack, but drains HP (-3) from the user as it goes. A cap on both AS/CS (+50/+30) and HP loss (-15) is set. Cooldown: 30 minutes.
