You see Lady Luxelle Machtes the Muse.
She appears to be an Elf.
She is average height. She appears to be youthful. She has emerald-sparked lagoon blue eyes and creamy fair skin. She has long and pale, sun-kissed flaxen hair which falls in a curtain of silky waves past her waist. She has slightly upswept pointed ears. Her features bear a soft, gentle appearance. She has a stuffed silver-dusted nightingale perched on her shoulder.
She is in good shape.
She is holding a gnarled illthorn staff sprouting a few star-shaped leaves in her right hand.
She is wearing a dark blue sea glass locket, an azure crystal amulet, a fitted elven leather jacket, a matte black kelyn sword symbol edged in silver, a dusty inky black bodice, a four-legged zoetic quill with an ivory rachis and gossamer vane, a scorched beryl clasp, an agate studded ora stickpin, a musician's valise with a stylized silver eahnor nightingale slung over her shoulder, an emerald green satchel set with tiny black opal studs, a bell-sleeved pearl grey silk blouse with a keyhole neckline, a silver eahnor wedding ring, an enruned gold ring, a leather purse, a polychromatic veniom mesh sack, some dark leather pants, a twisted willow anklet, and a pair of ruffle-edged black leather ankle-boots.

However, panelists who you ask may pass on answering and panelists who you don't ask may still offer comments. To join the queue for questions, simply RAISE your HAND and Miss Luxelle will add you to the queue for when the floor is open."
Stormyrain agrees with Dergoatean.

Recap: The Deacon and the Church
You recite:
"Lheren Hochstib, formerly a Second Watcher and now Prelate in the Church of Koar, has recently returned to the Landing area and asked for ideas about a possible revival of faith. He hopes the Church will be able to move forward and regain trust despite the stains of Prelate Chaston's crusades in 5116."

My efforts, along with those of acolyte Evician, High Priestess Wintersylph, and Maven Brokkrsten will be for that purpose."
Cruxophim nods approvingly at Irar.

"Some here still pale at the mention of Koar.
It is our duty to make this no longer true, not only for those of the Church, but of all the faithful."
Irar recites:
"And that is what we will do."
Lylia takes a drink from her honeyed herb tea.
Irar bows.
Luxelle sniffs.
Cruxophim applauds Irar encouragingly.
Shinann smiles at Irar.
Cruxophim leans against the sideboard, taking a momentary rest.
You prompt, "Deacon, is there any particular event that we should look forward to of yours?"
You smile at Irar.
Irar nods.
Hlendril glances at Bristenn.
Cruxophim touches Hlendril.
Cruxophim shakes his head.
Bristenn carefully removes his armored leather gauntlets and relaxes his hands, gently rubbing each palm in turn.
Bristenn idly slaps his gauntlets against his leg.
Irar recites:
"Oh, yes. Tomorrow night the four of us will be hosting a conclave to discuss the revival of Koar, and to form consensus on how this should be accomplished throughout the region- including the Landing, Solhaven, and Icemule. It will begin at 10:30 Elven tomorrow night, meeting initially outside the gates here."
Irar blushes a nice shade of rosy pink.
You nod at Irar.
Hlendril scowls at Bristenn.
Irar recites:
"Observers, so long as they are respectful of the proceedings, are welcome."
Irar bows.
Cruxophim nods approvingly at Irar.
Hlendril just went south.
Irar nods to you.
Hlendril just arrived.
You amicably say, "Excellent. So maybe some questions can be answered tomorrow night, if anyone believes they can attend--and if not, their questions will be welcome tonight, of course."
Hlendril yells, "BLOODY IMPERIAL SYMPATHIZERS!"
Cruxophim glances at Bristenn and clasps his hands in a reverent gesture.
You nod at Irar.
Hlendril just went south.
Cruxophim frowns.
You glance south.
Cruxophim gazes heavenward.
With a wince, Lylia slowly massages her temple.
Dergoatean shrugs.
Cruxophim wryly jests, "One in every crowd, I suppose."
Recap: Regarding Larsya
You recite:
"Our next topic is Larsya, whose brother Breshon Caulfield is temporarily in charge at the Hendoran outpost and has asked us to help him come up with ideas to cure a predicament she's in..."
Lornieh says, "Always the same one."
Lylia nods to you.
Bristenn scratches his head.
You nod at Lornieh.
You recite:
"I mentioned her briefly at one of our Town Halls last month, but to elaborate more now, in 5116 she was shot by a poisoned arrow which aged her from a young lady into an old woman. The Hall of Mages managed to stabilize her and stop her from aging any further, but Breshon would like to find a way to reverse the effect--as would so many of us here."
Xorus nods.
You recite:
"Now, you might wonder what strange poison this was..."
Malluch says, "Hlendril is auditioning to be fostered by the Ta'Mori."
Cruxophim begins chuckling at Malluch!
Irar begins chuckling at Malluch!
Cruxophim raises his fiery apricot rum in a toast!
Lylia gazes in amusement at Malluch.
Cruxophim takes a drink from his fiery apricot rum.
You chortle at Malluch.
Shinann clears her throat.
Xorus grins at Malluch.
Stormyrain twists her head slightly, cracking her neck. She looks relieved.
Bristenn blandly remarks, "I prefer 'imperial dog,' but I more overtly prefer 'imperial hooligan."
Khylynnia whispers something to Cruxophim.
Khylynnia begins chuckling at Cruxophim!
You recite:
"The poison's nature isn't very well understood yet. For the time being we're calling it Epochxin and we believe that it was created from--and can possibly be cured by--a processed product created with the blood of primals from the Southron Wastes."
[note: it seems I was mistaken about what it was created from; Xorus goes into more detail later in the evening]
Shinann grins at Bristenn.
You grab an opalescent glass jar containing vial of ebon-swirled bloods from a small pocket inside of your red silk cape.
You give your jar a hard shake, causing a vial of ebon-swirled blood to fall into your left hand.
You carefully place a vial of ebon-swirled blood on the floor.
Cruxophim begins chuckling at Bristenn!
You recite:
"As you can see a sample of that very blood here."
You gaze thoughtfully at a vial of ebon-swirled blood.
Cruxophim nods absently to a vial of ebon-swirled blood.
Guennwhfar asks, "What do the Primals think about that?"
Guennwhfar ponders.
Cruxophim collects an everblood essence flask from a large compartment inside the ebonwood kit.
You recite:
"However, these are only theories, so to that end we're hoping to gather some ideas tonight or in coming weeks about possible ways to restore Larsya's youth."
Cruxophim swirls the essence back and forth languidly.
Speaking to Guennwhfar, Lylia says, "I invite you to ask them, if you like."
Dergoatean removes a vial of ebon-swirled blood from in his black leather backpack.
You pick up a vial of ebon-swirled blood.
Lylia winks.
You nod approvingly at Cruxophim.
Cruxophim plops an everblood essence flask into a large compartment inside the ebonwood kit.
You add a vial of ebon-swirled blood to the contents of the glass jar.
Speaking to his ebon-swirled blood, Dergoatean says, "Oh! Right, that's what this was."
You grin at Dergoatean.
Cruxophim gives you a strong, encouraging smile.
Dergoatean grins sheepishly.
You recite:
"One early idea proposed by Evician was to commune with the Arkati in hopes that they would give us an answer..."
Speaking pleasantly to you, Cruxophim assures, "We have many great minds here, I'm sure we will find a workable solution."
You nod in agreement at Cruxophim.
Cruxophim leans against the sideboard, taking a momentary rest.
You recite:
"However, the first suggested Arkati were Fash'lo'nae and Lumnis, and respectively we were talked out of these communes--at least at this time--by Magister Raelee and Daenalan, a priest of Lumnis."
Evician nods to you.
Raelee nods slowly.
You recite:
"Both cited similar reasoning that we should not approach the Arkati--or at very least not those Arkati--until we have first tried everything we can think of on our own merits."
Cruxophim tilts his fiery apricot rum side to side, making the light play off it.
Stormyrain leans against the table, taking a momentary rest.
You recite:
"So, please--do offer any ideas you might have, tonight or any other night."
Cruxophim nods once at Malluch.
You recite:
"We could discuss a bit about last night, but since it's still fresh on everyone's mind and since this has been a very long introduction, I would like to get to your questions at this time."
Evician melodically says, "I also thought that perhaps we could go a bit more local, by speaking with the Sphere and Scythe group, but their hours are a bit on the day time side of things."
You nod at Evician.
Speaking jovially to Evician, Cruxophim muses, "Some of us do tend to favor the night."
Cruxophim chuckles.
Speaking gently to Evician, you say, "Any idea can be considered, I think, when we don't know what to do."
You nod at Evician.
Speaking to you, Zosopage says, "What about Lorminstra? She restores life. Just ask if she can go back a bit further."
Evician nods to you.
Evician melodically says, "Requires Communing with her Zoso."
Zosopage nods.
You recite:
"As ever, you are always welcome to ask questions that weren't in our recap this evening--we will answer anything Landing-related!"
You recite:
"Let your questions begin!"
You grin.
You tuck the glass jar into a small pocket inside of your red silk cape.
Irar applauds you.
Cruxophim gives Malluch a strong, encouraging smile.
Luxelle says, "Please raise your hand when you have a question, and we will start on the ones already."
Malluch grins at Cruxophim.
You nod in agreement at Luxelle.
Question #1: From Bjornsong, Answered By Cruxophim and Xorus - Pylasar and Larsya
Luxelle says, "Bjornsong has the floor for the next question."
Luxelle nods at Bjornsong.
Bjornsong smiles.
Bjornsong sings happily:
"More a suggestion than a question.."
You remind, "And please state which one, two, or three panelists your questions will go to."
You nod at Bjornsong.
Luxelle turns an inquisitive ear toward Bjornsong.
Bjornsong sings happily:
"The one I know knowledgeable in time shifting, and easier to consult than the Arkati, is Pylasar, if anyone knows his whereabouts, regarding Larsya."
Dergoatean adopts an agreeable expression.
Irar ponders.
Luxelle says, "Oh, that sounds like a good thought."
Luxelle beams happily at Bjornsong!
Bjornsong sings happily:
"That is all I had"
Bjornsong sits down.
You nod approvingly at Bjornsong.
Irar nods at Bjornsong.
Cruxophim nods at Bjornsong.
Luxelle nods.
You offer, "Would any panelists like to comment before we move on, though it wasn't a question?"
You glance appraisingly around the room.
Speaking amicably to Bjornsong, Cruxophim notes, "A fine suggestion. He did recuse himself from matters pertaining to Raznel, but this may be tangential at best. Perhaps his aid would be useful."
Lylia glances at Mynon and folds her arms over her chest.
Xorus says, "It is my understanding that Lord Brieson asserted at the time that Pylasar had recused himself from the situation."
Luxelle asks, "And is anyone else raising their hands for questions tonight?"
You offer, "The queue is open to all, please do ask anything. Not only about Larsya or Lheren, but Rone, Stephos, or any other Landing topics."
You nod once.
Question #2: From Malluch, Answered By Stormyrain, Shinann, Cruxophim, Lylia, Irar, Leafiara, and Xorus - The Corruption Rone's Exposed
Luxelle says, "Malluch has the floor for the next question."
Luxelle nods at Malluch.
Malluch nods.
Malluch clears his throat.
Lylia gazes with interest at Malluch.
You take a moment to observe everything you can about Malluch.
Luxelle turns an inquisitive ear toward Malluch.
Malluch says, "My question is for Captains Stormyrain, Shinann, and the Mayor."
Xorus nods.
Cruxophim smiles thinly at Malluch, swirling the rum in his hand.
Stormyrain gives a sidelong glance at Malluch.
Cruxophim nods at Malluch.
Shinann nods.
Stormyrain nods absently.
Malluch says, "First, a side note....I want to thank all of you for your aid in protecting my family business last night."
You give Malluch a strong, encouraging smile.
Irar nods at Malluch.
Cruxophim gives Malluch a strong, encouraging smile.
Lylia says, "We were all pleased you weathered the attack with no catastrophic losses."
Malluch says, "It isn't the first time my father has been targeted, and it will not be the last. But thank you for your help."
Cruxophim nods grimly at Malluch.
Shinann nods at Malluch.
Cruxophim pleasantly remarks, "We do look after our own here, as is our way in the Landing, of course."
Malluch says, "Now onto my question."
You nod approvingly at Malluch.
You nod approvingly at Cruxophim.
Cruxophim turns an inquisitive ear toward Malluch.
Malluch says, "I think we can all agree that this vigilante Rone is a dangerous threat, that while his or her theme is perhaps poetic or romantic and quite imaginative, it could disrupt too many things."
You thoughtfully tap a finger against your lips.
Cruxophim nods slowly at Malluch.
Malluch says, "We can't deny, however, that Rone's actions, whether we agree or not, have exposed a level of corruption in this town, which should be a cause for alarm for everyone."
Irar nods.
Cruxophim gazes in amusement at Malluch.
Shinann nods slowly.
Speaking surreptitiously to Malluch, Cruxophim wonders, "Has it?"
Malluch says, "I have seen the bounty for the vigilante, and were I a more capable man, I might have considered trying for it myself..."
Speaking mildly to Malluch, Cruxophim laments, "Pity you are not, then."
Cruxophim nods in agreement at Malluch.
Malluch asks, "But we seem to be spending a lot of time and focus on apprehending or murdering Rone, but what are we going to do to help thwart the corruption in the town he is exposing?"
Malluch asks, "If we are doing our jobs better, then Rone becomes invalid, no?"
Cruxophim gives Malluch a strong, encouraging smile.
Malluch bows.
Luxelle beams happily at Malluch!
You nod at Malluch.
Lylia nods in greeting at Melivn.
Lylia winks at Alasatia.
You pleasantly state, "Captain Stormy, Shinann, and the Mayor will take this question in that order, please."
Cruxophim adopts an agreeable expression.
You add, "If they choose not to pass, that is."
You nod.
Cruxophim tilts his fiery apricot rum side to side, making the light play off it.
Cruxophim's shadow cloak spreads down to the floor, causing a pool of shadow to gather underneath him.
Stormyrain says, "I am a Captain of the Militia, and matters of daily law are normally in the arena of the town guard and such. That being said, I'm not sure how much of this 'corruption' is really a surprise to anyone. After all, we are a Frontier Town where all are welcome. Light, dark, and grey goings on are the norm here."
Cruxophim nods absently at Stormyrain.
Stormyrain continues, "That being said; we do need to address some of the more nefarious goings on we have become aware of, that involve children for example. Do I have all the answers? No, but my men and women have been instructed to be even more vigilant about what they see and hear."
Berkana kisses Lylia on the cheek.
Cruxophim raises an eyebrow in Stormyrain's direction.
Lylia smiles.
Lylia kisses Berkana tenderly on the cheek.
Cruxophim kisses Berkana on the cheek.
Stormyrain gives a sidelong glance at Cruxophim.
Stormyrain nods faintly at Shinann.
Cruxophim looks thoughtfully at Shinann.
You turn to face Shinann.
Cruxophim nods understandingly at Stormyrain.
Speaking to Malluch, Shinann says, "First, I do not think he is being poetic or whatever. He is breaking the law. As far as stopping corruption, while some is visible, most is not."
Irar nods at Shinann.
Shinann says, "So, we stop what we are aware of and do what Stormyrain said."
Shinann says, "Keep our eyes and ears open."
Shinann says, "I have stepped up patrols, even though it is a town guard situation. I expect all guards, militia and town to report and watch."
Cruxophim nods slowly at Shinann.
Shinann says, "I will not tell anyone the steps I take to do so, because that would defeat the purpose."
Malluch nods.
Shinann says, "I am done."
Irar smiles at Shinann.
Cruxophim gives Shinann a strong, encouraging smile.
You nod at Shinann.
You turn to face Cruxophim.
Speaking calmly to Malluch, Cruxophim opines, "Though I may certainly be viewed as biased, if you ask me... the town is -less- corrupt now than it has historically been. We've made great effort to clean up a good deal of the lingering bad element, and the Rooks are less active now than ever, it would seem."
Speaking calmly to Malluch, Cruxophim assures, "Yes, there are certainly matters to be investigated, and things that need to be fixed, but... is that not always the case?"
Malluch says, "So it seems."
Irar chuckles.
Speaking evenly to Malluch, Cruxophim states, "This so-called "corruption" comes from the mouth of a man who has no qualms about murdering without justice or due process."
Speaking grimly to Malluch, Cruxophim continues, "Who believes himself to be judge, jury, and executioner. Simply put... why should we believe a word he says?"
Speaking wryly to Malluch, Cruxophim states, "I am not concerned about this so-called "evidence", because he has proven himself to be unreliable at best, and a terrorist and a menace at worst."
Speaking grimly to Malluch, Cruxophim concludes, "He needs to be brought to justice. Proper justice."
Malluch says, "I see."
Malluch nods.
You mention, "Three more of our panelists have volunteered replies and I will say something as well on this."
Speaking calmly to Malluch, Cruxophim assures, "And he will."
Cruxophim gives Malluch a strong, encouraging smile.
You turn to face Lylia.
Malluch says, "Good."
Stonmel whispers something to Cruxophim.
Malluch says, "Justice should come to all who deserve it."
Stonmel chuckles.
Cruxophim begins chuckling at Stonmel!
Lylia nods to you.
Luxelle nods at Malluch.
Speaking to Malluch, Lylia says, "Apprehending one man is a challenge. Finding corruption, root and stem, is a far greater one. What you see and what the law is attempting are not always the same. Sometimes, chasing down corruption requires discretion."
Cruxophim whispers something to Stormyrain.
Lylia says, "The velvet glove, not the white-mailed fist."
Cruxophim whispers something to Stonmel.
Lylia continues, "And of course, special guard is being placed on those most directly threatened by Rone, including our own mayor and one of his most valuable advisors."
Lylia glances between Cruxophim and Xorus.
Cruxophim gives Lylia a strong, encouraging smile.
Lylia says, "So indeed, this pressing concern is being seen to from both sides. It is just difficult to see some work as it is far more complex, more nuanced."
Stonmel whispers something to Cruxophim.
Xorus says, "Mm."
Stonmel glances at you.
Cruxophim nods slowly at Lylia.
Lylia says, "I hope that allays some fears that we are not seeking this corruption to deal with it."
Luxelle nods at Malluch.
Lylia inclines her head.
Speaking mildly to Lylia, Cruxophim agrees, "Real change happens slowly, but surely."
Irar turns to face Malluch.
Lylia takes a drink from her honeyed herb tea.
Speaking to Cruxophim, Hoodtralfeck says, "Or fast if ya get the head."
You nod at Luxelle.
Cruxophim begins chuckling at Hoodtralfeck!
Evician whispers something to Cruxophim.
Cruxophim nods in agreement at Evician.
Speaking to Malluch, Irar says, "I must find myself in some ways in agreement with the Mayor. Due process is a question here. I despise corruption as much as the last, but injustice should not, and can not, be solved with further injustice."
Cruxophim nods slowly at Irar.
Cruxophim tilts his fiery apricot rum side to side, making the light play off it.
Speaking to Malluch, Irar asks, "Who is Rone to decide what is a capital offense? If I remember correctly, he murdered a town clerk who embezzled and neglected his family. Did he deserve death, or the stocks?"
Speaking to Malluch, Irar asks, "Rone himself alleged he was serving the justice I would not, but would he expect I lay my axe into any of my congregation who whisper about stealing tarts?"
Irar shakes his head.
Cruxophim chuckles to himself.
Irar says, "Maybe Maags might."
Irar says, "I am done."
Irar nods.
You nod at Irar.
Dergoatean smirks at Irar.
You turn to face Malluch.
Speaking to Malluch, you comment, "Since Rone first appeared, his knowledge of his targets has been a lingering question. It's one thing for him to kill a woman in Danjirland right before she sells off children, for example, but many of his targets have been slain for past deeds so far under the table that it's a wonder he knew about them at all--if he did."
Cruxophim nods absently to you.
Speaking surreptitiously to you, Cruxophim agrees, "One does wonder where he gets his intel... and how reliable it actually is."
Speaking pragmatically to Malluch, you reason, "I think we need to ask the man himself how he learns some of the things he does. Whether you want him killed or whether you admire his work, we might be able to learn something from him about how he roots people out--and if we could do the same -without- breaking any moral codes, maybe you're right that we can make Rone moot."
Grand Lord Beldannon just arrived.
You nod at Cruxophim.
Lylia smiles at Beldannon.
You conclude, "Those are my thoughts on him for now--he's been a puzzle from the beginning."
You nod at Malluch.
You turn to face Xorus.
Xorus nods.
Xorus says, "The corruption of this town in the sense of criminal activity is a natural outgrowth of its lack of centralized power. They feed upon the indulgence of society's weakness. To end the slavers would require purging the krolvin from Glaoveln. To end the highwaymen would require a vastly expanded military force to project control over the countryside. What is needed is a great deal more power and the order that comes with it, not the incitement of instability and explosions in the streets."
Cruxophim looks thoughtfully at Xorus.
Xorus says, "I am concerned about the way he may be attempting to acquire his information."
Cruxophim calmly remarks, "Security often comes with consequences, yes."
Stormyrain folds her arms over her chest.
Lylia nods at Xorus.
Malluch nods.
Xorus says, "The most dangerous way would be if he is somehow tapping into Granthem, causing some latent power in him as a 'flesh golem' of Grishom Stone to manifest in this sleep walking."
You raise an eyebrow in Xorus's direction.
Cruxophim nods absently at Xorus.
Luxelle's face turns slightly pale.
Luxelle shifts her weight.
Xorus says, "Grishom believed his golems might retain his powers or even memories."
Xorus says, "Granthem seems like a fine fellow. I am more concerned for his well being."
Raelee glances at Xorus.
Cruxophim folds his arms, appearing to listen intently. He nods from time to time.
Xorus says, "But this imitator of Rone who butchered the priest and acolyte, that was a kind of dark flesh working that is rather advanced."
Stormyrain shifts her weight.
You nod slowly at Xorus.
You sigh.
Cruxophim nods grimly at Xorus.
Lylia nods at Xorus.
Speaking surreptitiously to Xorus, Cruxophim comments, "One wonders, if he had not committed his fel deeds, if others would not have been inspired to reply in kind."
Cruxophim looks thoughtful for a moment, then shrugs.
Xorus says, "In any event, my concern is if that were the scrying method used, a kind of dowsing rod. The Rone ideology may have spilled over unconsciously."
Xorus nods.
Cruxophim looks thoughtfully at Xorus.
You thoughtfully tap a finger against your lips.
Lylia furrows her brow.
Xorus says, "Perhaps Granthem would be willing to be observed for his own safety until this Rone matter can be resolved."
Lylia whispers something to Xorus.
Speaking calmly to Xorus, Cruxophim opines, "Not a bad idea, if he is willing to submit to such of his own accord."
Raelee looks thoughtfully at Xorus.
Speaking pleasantly to Xorus, Cruxophim explains, "Simply to rule him out, of course."
You sincerely praise, "Wise and creative thoughts from Advisor Xorus, as ever."
You nod.
Staring into space, you pause to mull over multiple possibilities and potential nuances.
Cruxophim whispers something to Xorus.
Stormyrain gently brushes her pale silver hair away from her eyes and, with a deft twist of her wrist, tucks it back into its bindings.
Xorus says, "I suppose that is all I have to say at this time, though Rone did wish to kill myself. I am not quite sure why, though I have often had to deal with dangerous people to acquire more dangerous relics, such as the Talon of Toullaire."
Speaking to Cruxophim, Dergoatean says, "Ruling him out would require confidence that our methods of observation have no gaps..."
You nod at Xorus.
Question #3: From Malluch, Answered by Stormyrain, Dergoatean, Leafiara, and Cruxophim (and Xorus later) - Corruptness of Rone's Targets
Luxelle nods at Malluch.
Speaking to Malluch, Luxelle asks, "Mister Burdos, you have a followup?"
Malluch nods.
Shinann folds her hands behind her back.
Cruxophim gives Malluch a strong, encouraging smile.
Luxelle sniffs.
You give Malluch a strong, encouraging smile.
Luxelle casually observes her surroundings.
Malluch says, "Thank you for your answers, I appreciate your concern and actions in protecting our town and people."
Cruxophim nods understandingly at Malluch.
Malluch says, "My follow up question, and my last I promise..."
Lylia nods appreciatively at Malluch.
You tilt your head slightly toward Malluch, noting the subtle changes in his muscles and breathing.
Speaking gently to Malluch, Cruxophim assures, "Of course. It is good that you are concerned for the safety and well-being of the town, as I hope we all are."
Stormyrain glances dubiously at Malluch.
Malluch asks, "This Rone, with questionable tactics and motives, has nonetheless labeled a few in this room corrupt, chief among them, Mayor Cruxophim. So my question to Captains Shinann and Stormyrain, and all other panelists in truth, is do you believe that?"
Speaking bluntly to Malluch, Stormyrain asks, "Are you really asking me that?"
Cruxophim gazes in amusement at Malluch.
Cruxophim glances expectantly at Stormyrain.
Cruxophim glances expectantly at Shinann.
Cruxophim chuckles to himself.
Bristenn scratches his chin.
Stormyrain can offer Malluch only a blank expression.
Malluch says, "You are free to pass, if I understand the rules right."
Lylia nods at Malluch.
You curiously clarify, "Believe in the corruption of just Mayor Crux or in all those Rone has named?"
Cruxophim flashes a toothy grin.
Malluch asks, "I suppose any. Do we have reason to believe this vigilante?"
You mention, "Goat and Xorus will answer first, then any others who wish." [...whoops. Goat and I messed this one up as Goat talked over Stormy and Leafi jumped ahead of Xorus. Stormy did get some thoughts out, though, and Xorus would add his thoughts on this later in the night.]
Speaking to Malluch, Stormyrain says, "I have never hidden my feelings on Cruxophim and his actions, not from years ago, and not in the present. Do I believe he is someone this Rone may see as corrupt? Yes. Because I believe this Rone operates from a perspective he views as Light and good. Clearly, it's twisted, but I believe he adheres to that narrow view."
Dergoatean nods at Stormyrain.
Cruxophim nods slowly at Stormyrain.
You nod at Stormyrain.
Bristenn dusts himself off.
Bristenn slowly concedes, "Interesting as this is, I rather should dash."
Speaking thoughtfully to Stormyrain, Cruxophim notes, "A fair answer. I have made no secret of my past sins, of course. I suppose I never viewed it that way."
Cruxophim glances at Bristenn and clasps his hands in a reverent gesture.
Bristenn inclines his head.
Speaking to Malluch, Dergoatean says, "Depends on what you mean by 'corrupt,' really. Look at him. He looks every bit as wicked as Raznel, right? But then consider his actions during his term as mayor. There's no good reason to believe he's had anything other than the town's best interests at heart."
Stormyrain asks, "Do we have reason to believe him? Even a broken sundial is right once a day, no?"
Stormyrain gives a sidelong glance at Dergoatean.
Bristenn furrows his brow.
Stormyrain folds her arms over her chest.
Cruxophim begins chuckling at Stormyrain!
Lylia nods in agreement at Dergoatean.
Shinann says, "I choose to pass."
Malluch grins at Shinann.
Speaking to Malluch, you admit, "I don't know Deckits very well at all. I'm a little more familiar with Xorus and he has a very dark sense of humor, but I haven't seen him do anything outright wrong or corrupt."
Xorus nods.
Speaking diplomatically to Malluch, you say, "As for the Mayor, he's very unusual, but I don't mind it, truly... some would say half-elves are unusual--or they'd use much worse words--so I try to be accepting. He's allowed to have very different hobbies from me or even from some 'majority' of people."
You give Cruxophim a strong, encouraging smile.
Cruxophim smiles at you.
You hug Cruxophim, stirring the scent of blood, raw meat, and pungent soil, overshadowed by the tenebrous fetor of decaying flesh from his skin, who wraps you in a warm embrace.
Cruxophim hugs you, and you wrap him in a warm embrace.
Malluch bows.
Luxelle smiles.
Malluch says, "Thank you for your comments."
Speaking bemusedly to Malluch, Cruxophim remarks, "I will say, in regards to your question: I could do no better than to have Stormyrain and Shinann as Captains. I have no doubt that they serve as a diligent means for checks and balances, and would never hesitate to call out any actions of mine they view as untoward. In that regard, I would much rather have them in place than someone who would capitulate to my every demand."
Shinann nods at Malluch.
You nod firmly at Cruxophim.
Cruxophim chuckles to himself.
Speaking to Malluch, you state, "Thank you for your questions. But we have gone quite a while, so we do need to move on..."
You grin at Malluch.
Cruxophim nods approvingly at Malluch.
You nod at Luxelle.
Cruxophim nods in agreement to you.
Luxelle says, "I want to remind everyone that you can raise your hand if you have a question. A couple of our panelists must get their beauty sleep, and have departed, with our thanks."
You nod in agreement at Luxelle.
Malluch nods to you.
Cruxophim gives Luxelle a strong, encouraging smile.
Luxelle says, "So, the long wait for the next question..."
You apologetically remind, "We do apologize for this very late Town Hall, but we truly didn't wish to fight with Bloodriven Village -too- much."
You wink.
Question #4: From Yukito, Answered by Cruxophim, Dergoatean, Xorus, and Raelee - Inquiries About Larsya
Luxelle says, "Yukito has the floor for the next question."
Luxelle nods at Yukito.
Stonmel whispers something to Cruxophim.
Yukito nods at Luxelle.
Stonmel grunts, amused.
Malluch says, "Thank you for taking my questions. I should be off to help my father keep cleaning up."
Malluch says, "Have a wonderful night all."
You nod at Malluch.
Malluch bows.
Irar waves to Malluch.
Lylia inclines her head.
Luxelle beams happily at Malluch!
You wish, "You as well."
Cruxophim nods faintly at Stonmel.
You turn to face Yukito.
Lord Malluch just went south.
(Yukito taps his temple.) [This is most likely Yukito prompting Luxelle to turn on her amunet, as he's mute, so he can ask his question. Since he couldn't, he asks Leafi instead...]
Lylia says, "Rest well."
Yukito peers quizzically at Luxelle.
Lylia turns to face Yukito.
Luxelle nods at Yukito.
Xorus glances south.
Irar turns to face Yukito.
Cruxophim glances between Xorus and yourself.
Stormyrain nods slowly at Cruxophim.
Yukito sighs.
You peer quizzically at Cruxophim.
Cruxophim chuckles.
Cruxophim leans softly against you, and you note the scent of blood, raw meat, and pungent soil, overshadowed by the tenebrous fetor of decaying flesh clinging to him.
Cruxophim nonchalantly remarks, "Perhaps he saw a pretty skirt worth chasing."
Luxelle turns an inquisitive ear toward Yukito.
Xorus wryly jests, "You know, I was going to answer him."
Cruxophim chuckles to himself.
You slowly say, "Ah... that is right, Yukito has taken a vow of silence, if I remember, so please allow me..."
Lylia begins chuckling at Xorus!
Speaking diplomatically to Xorus, Cruxophim reminds, "They do publish the transcripts, I am sure he will have the chance to read it if you wish to reply."
You recite:
"Yukito's question is..."
You clarify, "Ah, he's mute, rather."
You nod.
Cruxophim grins at Evician.
Cruxophim gives Yukito a strong, encouraging smile.
Yukito nods politely.
Stormyrain smiles at Yukito.
Meureii smiles quietly to himself.
Irar smiles at Yukito.
Luxelle exclaims, "Oh, my ESP!"
Luxelle flails her arms about.
Stormyrain gazes in amusement at Meureii.
Cruxophim nods encouragingly at Yukito.
Luxelle says, "I cried too long and lost it."
Yukito smiles.
Luxelle nods.
Luxelle rubs her crystal amulet.
Luxelle gets an odd look on her face.
You recite:
"What methods are being looked into for healing Larsya? Has some of HER blood been procured to test on gathered samples? IS the poison believed to be fully magical in nature? Does it have herbal components? Perhaps illusory and therefore utilizing trickery of the senses? What end did this affliction serve? Did it work as fully intended? Did it fail or was it an experiment, do you think?"
Luxelle blushes a nice shade of light pink.
Luxelle praises you.
Cruxophim laughs softly, trying to hide his amusement from Luxelle.
Lylia takes a drink from her honeyed herb tea.
You amusedly admit, "That's a lot more than one question, but take whatever from it you will."
Stormyrain chuckles to herself.
You nod at Cruxophim.
Xorus chuckles.
Yukito smiles understandingly.
Yukito vigorously shakes his head.
Stormyrain folds her arms over her chest.
You state, "I believe he simply wants to understand more about the situation."
Luxelle nods at Cruxophim.
You suggest, "Maybe take it in that sense rather than trying to answer every individual detail."
Luxelle nods at Xorus.
Yukito glances at you.
Speaking pleasantly to Yukito, Cruxophim opines, "I think those are all fine suggestions, and perfectly in line with the sort of intelligent ideas we are searching for. I don't believe we have a sample of her blood for analysis, unless I have some left-over from prior research -- I shall have to check -- but acquiring a fresh sample could be useful."
You nod at Irar.
Yukito nods at Cruxophim.
Speaking amicably to you, Cruxophim inquires, "I do hope you've taken note of those thoughts?"
You nod firmly at Cruxophim.
Lylia smiles at Chaoswynd.
Chaoswynd smiles at Lylia.
Speaking seriously to Cruxophim, you assure, "All thoughts provided at one of the TownCrier's meetings, of course."
Speaking thoughtfully to Yukito, Cruxophim answers, "As for herbal components, not sure at this juncture in the analysis. Reverse engineering recipes is notoriously tedious and time-consuming, of course. As for the final portion... perhaps another has some thought on that?"
You nod at Dergoatean.
Cruxophim glances meaningfully at Xorus.
You nod at Cruxophim.
Xorus nods.
You turn to face Xorus.
Speaking pleasantly to Yukito, Cruxophim agrees, "That would stand to reason, yes. Excellent deduction." [see below for more information about what Crux is agreeing to]
Stormyrain gives Chaoswynd a lingering kiss on the cheek.
Stormyrain just left.
Dergoatean says, "I'm not sure if this has been disproven since, but originally we had a hypothesis that Epochxin had a connection to the plane Lorae'tyr."
Yukito glances at Dergoatean.
Lylia nods at Dergoatean.
Dergoatean says, "Lorae'tyr is known for its time shifting."
Dergoatean says, "Those who have visited have passed a thousand years in our one minute, or vice versa."
Cruxophim whispers to the group, "For the record: Yukito non-verbally communicated the following."
Cruxophim whispers to the group, "Quote: I wonder if some of those.. dark threads may even be visible in her blood."
Dergoatean says, "But I'm not aware of any research that supported or refuted that idea."
Dergoatean removes a vial of ebon-swirled blood from in his black leather backpack.
Cruxophim whispers to the group, "If it is truly demonic.. this poison. Maybe it is fortified by herbs. Or magic. That is my reasoning. But I would be happy to discuss it more later if allowed. I just wanted to add those thoughts."
Dergoatean shows Yukito his ebon-swirled blood.
Cruxophim whispers to the group, "Endquote."
Speaking to Yukito, Dergoatean asks, "Like that?"
Yukito nods.
Cruxophim nods absently at Dergoatean.
Lylia takes a drink from her honeyed herb tea.
Dergoatean nods.
Dergoatean put a vial of ebon-swirled blood in his black leather backpack.
Cruxophim calmly recites, "I would love to hear more about that if there is time and inclination sometime."
Cruxophim nods in agreement at Yukito.
You cheerfully muse, "Didn't even know he was part of the panel, but he's given us such valuable information."
You nod approvingly at Dergoatean.
Dergoatean chuckles.
You wink at Dergoatean.
Raelee glances at Xorus.
Yukito shakes his head.
Xorus says, "I treated these subjects in exhaustive detail in a public report which should be with the Mayor's office. The girl was poisoned by an unnatural flesh amalgam name Vinswith, presumably made by Raznel using the blood of Archales and Wolfloner."
Cruxophim nods approvingly at Yukito.
Cruxophim gives Yukito a strong, encouraging smile.
Lylia gazes with interest at Xorus.
Speaking to Xorus, Dergoatean says, "I do remember that report! I was about to attribute it to Cruxophim."
Dergoatean chuckles.
Lylia begins chuckling at Dergoatean!
Xorus says, "This poison had the effect of turning her blood, her own constitution, into this epochxin which Brieson has said is essentially the same as the blood of the ebon-swirled primal of the Southron Wastes."
Lylia whispers something to Dergoatean.
Yukito nods at Xorus.
Xorus says, "The primal is a demon related to the shadowy oculoth, whose 'blood' is essentially a mind shattering venom."
Yukito blinks.
Xorus says, "Brieson was able to stabilize her condition, though I was not present for it. Oddly, for some reason Pylasar was able to point him in the right direction."
Xorus says, "Though everything about Pylasar is odd."
You nod at Xorus.
Lylia snickers at Dergoatean.
Cruxophim snickers at Xorus.
Lylia agrees with Xorus.
Xorus says, "The most nominal reason for targeting Larsya was to incite retribution, but her blood was related to developing the counter to the Everblood."
Speaking thoughtfully to Yukito, Cruxophim requests, "I quite like the way you think. I believe you'd be a valuable addition, would you be willing to join the committee for resolving this issue?"
Yukito cocks his head at Cruxophim.
You grin at Cruxophim.
Xorus says, "The short answer is I believe Raznel has engaged in a very long manipulation, and Larsya was a key element in that plan."
Xorus says, "And it is still playing out toward this Blood Harvest that is coming."
Speaking mildly to you, Cruxophim muses, "I assume that's alright, yes?"
You nod faintly at Xorus.
Lylia thoughtfully taps a finger against her lips.
Speaking dubiously to Cruxophim, Raelee interrupts, "There is a committee now?"
Cruxophim gives Yukito a strong, encouraging smile.
Speaking amusedly to Cruxophim, you say, "You certainly don't have to ask -me- for permission, Mayor."
You laugh softly, trying to hide your amusement.
You sincerely say, "I want all the help we can get for Larsya."
You nod at Cruxophim.
Xorus says, "But otherwise my report on the matter is much more detailed. So I will turn this over to Magister Svala."
You nod at Xorus.
Speaking whimsically to Yukito, Cruxophim declares, "So mote it be."
You turn to face Raelee.
Cruxophim flashes a quick grin.
Cruxophim and Yukito shake hands.
Raelee shakes her head.
Raelee says, "There is little else of value to add."
Cruxophim looks thoughtfully at Xorus.
Yukito nods at Cruxophim.
Cruxophim nods in agreement at Xorus.
Raelee says, "Most of the knowledge rests with Brieson. He left behind some notes... however the entire situation has been largely ignored for the past year."
Xorus nods.
Raelee says, "And as for Brieson himself, I have been attempting to contact him since last Olaesta. I have yet to see any sign of response."
You frown at Raelee.
Speaking pleasantly to Xorus, Cruxophim notes, "Sage answers, as expected."
Cruxophim turns an inquisitive ear toward Raelee.
Raelee admits, "I cannot guarantee the man is alive. His own health was quite poor."
Cruxophim nods grimly at Raelee.
You nod grimly at Raelee.
Cruxophim gives a sidelong glance at you.
Cruxophim chuckles.
You flash a quick grin.
Shinann shifts her weight.
Raelee says, "He had ideas for solving this."
Raelee says, "He may have even had the answer."
Lylia sighs.
Raelee says, "We put her in stasis in one of our Bane coffins. Had that not happened, she would have died."
You nod at Raelee.
Raelee says, "The damage the coffin sustained allowed her condition to progress as it did. That was not the plan."
Raelee says, "That he managed to halt it at all was... quite the breakthrough."
Yukito blinks.
A pained expression crosses Yukito's face.
Lylia nods in agreement at Raelee.
Shinann folds her hands behind her back.
Shinann nods.
Shinann says, "I remember."
Raelee says, "There are questions we do not have answers to about the nature of her condition."
Dergoatean asks, "She was stuck in a sort of time loop, last I saw her, I think? Does anyone know if that still the case?"
Speaking sadly to Dergoatean, you inform, "It definitely is."
Raelee says, "At this point, we may not actually be seeking a cure for epochxin. That time may be passed."
Dergoatean hangs his head.
Dergoatean nods to you.
Yukito sets about preparing himself to be as presentable as possible.
Lylia murmurs, "The last I saw, she was still having the same horror at seeing her elderly self."
Luxelle sighs.
Speaking to Dergoatean, Raelee says, "Only mentally, not physically."
Shinann nods at Lylia.
Dergoatean agrees with Raelee.
Raelee says, "This may be about repairing the damage done rather than curing the root cause."
You slowly venture, "So... a cure for aging itself?"
You furrow your brow, probably adding a wrinkle or two in the process.
Zosopage says, "A fountain of youth if you will."
Raelee asks, "Likewise, the state of her mind... is that because of the Epochxin? Or is this simply what happens when you place the mind of a child into the physical brain of a very old woman?"
Yukito nods at Luxelle.
Raelee nods at Zosopage.
You rub your chin thoughtfully.
Speaking to Zosopage, Raelee says, "And that is precisely it, really."
Raelee says, "We are, in effect, being asked to cure mortal aging."
Xorus nods.
Raelee says, "The implications of that beyond this specific circumstance are... immeasurably vast."
You nod firmly at Raelee.
Lylia nods sympathetically at Raelee.
Cruxophim nods sagely at Raelee.
Zosopage says, "There could be something like that somewhere in these lands, places unexplored as yet."
Luxelle asks, "Any last comments on Mister Yukito's questions?"
(Luxelle glances at the panel.)
Irar shakes his head.
Question #5: From Hoodtralfeck, Answered By Cruxophim and Xorus - The Rone Distraction, Raznel, and Grishom Stone
Luxelle says, "Hoodtralfeck has the floor for the next question."
Luxelle nods at Hoodtralfeck.
You state, "Thank you, panelists! We'll move on to our final question, then."
You nod at Hoodtralfeck.
Speaking diplomatically to Luxelle, Cruxophim concludes, "I think we have many hopeful avenues to pursue, and perhaps one of them will yet yield fruit."
Hoodtralfeck stands up.
Cruxophim gives Yukito a strong, encouraging smile.
Cruxophim winks at Yukito.
Luxelle agrees with Cruxophim.
You nod approvingly at Cruxophim.
Cruxophim wipes some blood off his face with his hand.
Yukito glances at Cruxophim.
Hoodtralfeck says, "I have more of a observation to make then a question."
You tilt your head slightly toward Hoodtralfeck, noting the subtle changes in his muscles and breathing.
Cruxophim turns to face Hoodtralfeck.
Lylia nods at Hoodtralfeck.
Yukito sighs.
Speaking absently to Dergoatean, Cruxophim comments, "It could be psychological or psychic damage, more than temporal... but such matters are complicated, as I'm sure you know."
Hoodtralfeck says, "Feel free to respond afterwards so long as it how ya really feel."
Cruxophim turns an inquisitive ear toward Hoodtralfeck.
Hoodtralfeck says, "I think the statements from this Rone person is just a simple military tactic, get your enemy to turn on another. Much easier to win if we busy chasing shadows rather then paying attention to the real enemy. That said I assume Crux is innocent, I'm fairly sure at least 2 or 3 are."
Lylia nods at Hoodtralfeck.
Cruxophim nods slowly at Hoodtralfeck.
Irar nods at Hoodtralfeck.
Speaking thoughtfully to Hoodtralfeck, Cruxophim agrees, "This does feel more like the waves of some deeper agenda, more than a simple vendetta."
Hoodtralfeck says, "And I'm sure that somebody in power in this town is a lil corrupt, and nothing will change that people are weak and gold is shiny, and ya need it fer ale. But what matters is we ignore these rumors until we have sank them into the sea and burned down the forest or whatever where the bandits are. As for the outpost ... eh."
Speaking to Cruxophim, Dergoatean says, "I suppose I should have spoken more carefully. I didn't mean to say that time necessarily continues to bend around her, so much as she continues to relive the same experience."
Cruxophim nods in agreement at Dergoatean.
Cruxophim removes a flagon of fiery apricot rum from in his small eldritch coffin.
The 5118 Mayoral Candidates Are...
A town clerk arrives.
Cruxophim turns toward Hoodtralfeck and renders a sharp salute with his fiery apricot rum.
Speaking to Hoodtralfeck, Shinann asks, "Who would you call our real enemy?"
Cruxophim nods in greeting to a town clerk.
Shinann glances at a town clerk.
Hoodtralfeck says, "And get Raznel and Stone."
A town clerk clears her throat, "Excuse me, I do not mean to interrupt, except, I kind of do."
Irar chuckles.
Shinann nods.
The town clerk says, "Am I able to make a quick announcement?"
Irar glances at a town clerk.
Speaking pleasantly to a town clerk, Cruxophim assures, "Of course."
You admit, "We're on our final question, anyway, I do believe."
(Lylia eyes the town clerk from beneath the veils of her hennin.)
You prompt, "Please, go ahead."
The town clerk says, "The window has closed for mayoral candidates to apply."
You nod to the town clerk.
Luxelle looks at a town clerk and cheers!
Hoodtralfeck says, "And end all this mess from the last decade of war and blood, let us spill the last of it and be done."
Speaking to a town clerk, Irar asks, "Any questions for us?"
Irar glances at a town clerk and grins.
Speaking to a town clerk, Luxelle exclaims, "Congratulations!"
Cruxophim amusedly ventures, "I do hope many fine candidates took up upon themselves to enter."
Cruxophim gives Khylynnia a lingering kiss on the nose.
Lylia nods at Hoodtralfeck.
Irar nods at Hoodtralfeck.
Khylynnia kisses Cruxophim on the nose.
Cruxophim winks at Khylynnia.
Hoodtralfeck sighs.
Shinann gazes at a town clerk.
Hoodtralfeck says, "Okay done."
Speaking to Hoodtralfeck, Lylia says, "I wish there were an end to bloodshed. I am not sure that anyone, even the most dedicated, can assure it."
The town clerk says, "We got an application from Owly, but we were unable to determine if it was a signature, or the name scratched out, so please do not apply by writing with talons next year."
The town clerk says, "However....."
Cruxophim raises his voice at a town clerk in merry laughter.
Shinann smirks.
Irar snickers.
Lylia gazes in amusement at a town clerk.
Dergoatean gazes heavenward.
Raelee takes a slow, deep breath then pinches the bridge of her nose.
Lylia takes a drink from her honeyed herb tea.
The town clerk says, "Did it apply...or did it not apply...did it apply...or did it not apply...."
Hoodtralfeck nods.
You gaze in amusement at a town clerk.
The town clerk says, "Now then...."
Shinann chuckles.
Cruxophim chuckles.
Lylia says, "A critical question when looking at applications."
Zosopage says, "Who."
Zosopage says, "Or hoot."
Irar groans at Zosopage.
Raelee looks at Cruxophim blankly, at a loss to express herself.
The town clerk says, "The 5118 Wehnimer's Landing Mayoral Candidates are...."
Hoodtralfeck says, "Well I'm just saying it's false rumors most likely."
Cruxophim adopts an agreeable expression.
Irar turns an ear toward a town clerk.
Cruxophim gazes with interest at a town clerk.
Lylia surveys the area.
Alasatia smiles at Lylia.
Cruxophim mutters something about baited-breath.
You steeple your fingers, quietly observing your surroundings.
The town clerk says, "Without further adue...ado...ah-doo?...."
Lylia watches the surroundings in breathless anticipation.
Raelee whispers something to Cruxophim.
The town clerk says, "The 5118 Wehnimer's Landing Mayoral Candidates are...."
Irar squints at a town clerk.
The town clerk says, "Leafiara and Lylia!"
Luxelle turns an ear toward a town clerk.
You smile at Lylia.
Dergoatean lets out a cheer!
Xorus nods.
Evrali applauds.
Lylia flashes a quick grin.
Luxelle squeals.
Stonmel shakes his head.
Roelaren lets out a cheer!
Irar asks, "Only two?"
Beldannon darkly says, "Dang that will be tough to decide."
Shinann applauds.
Lornieh turns to you and cheers!
Roelaren lets out a cheer!
You shake hands with Lylia.
Alasatia looks at Lylia and hums.
You receive a firm handshake from Lylia.
Dergoatean casts his vote with an emphatic "Aye!"
Lornieh turns to Lylia and cheers!
Gavrien glances appraisingly between Lylia and yourself.
Roelaren says, "Woo."
Cruxophim applauds Lylia encouragingly.
Xorus says, "The town will be in good hands."
Xannorath says, "Shocking."
Xannorath smirks.
Luxelle asks, "That is all?"
Irar gives you a friendly hug.
Cruxophim applauds you encouragingly.
Goldstr bows to you.
Irar hugs Lylia.
Cruxophim hugs you, and you wrap him in a warm embrace, stirring the faint scent of blood, raw meat, and pungent soil, overshadowed by the tenebrous fetor of decaying flesh around him.
Roelaren says, "Will be hard."
Cruxophim gives Lylia a friendly hug.
Speaking brightly to Xorus, you exclaim, "Indeed!"
Roelaren lets out a cheer!
You hug Cruxophim, who wraps you in a warm embrace.
Goldstr bows to Lylia.
The clerk waves and departs.
Lylia warmly says, "Thank you for the announcement."
Roelaren smiles at you.
Roelaren smiles at Lylia.
Cruxophim bemusedly notes, "Should be a most interesting and entertaining race."
Alasatia whispers something to Lylia.
You nod in agreement at Cruxophim.
Stonmel says, "A traitor and a dear friend of a traitor."
Lylia rubs a red verlok feather in her hand.
The area becomes brighter.
Her verlok feather suddenly disintegrates!
Roelaren agrees with Cruxophim.
Cruxophim leans softly against Beldannon.
Zosopage says, "Hrmm perhaps a duo mayorality."
Stonmel says, "What a field, what a joke."
Dergoatean says, "The Landing is now guaranteed another year of excellent leadership."
Alasatia grins crookedly at Melivn.
You gaze in amusement at Stonmel.
Stonmel grunts, amused.
Cruxophim laughs softly, trying to hide his amusement.
Zosopage rubs his chin thoughtfully.
Hoodtralfeck says, "That's seemed very odd."
Beldannon yells, "Crux for another term!"
Roelaren agrees with Dergoatean.
Speaking melodically to Stonmel, Evician says, "Then don't vote."
Beldannon begins a steady and decisive chant, as if rallying the troops.
Speaking to Stonmel, Lylia says, "Sorry, no men seemed to apply."
Lylia folds her hands.
Speaking lightly to Stonmel, you say, "Nothing stopped you from running, just like nothing stops you from joining the militia."
Speaking teasingly to Stonmel, Cruxophim suggests, "Perhaps you should have run?"
You chortle.
Cruxophim flashes a quick grin at Stonmel.
Shinann nods slowly.
Speaking softly to you, Wintersylph asks, "Perhaps you shouldn't have saved her Leaf?"
Lornieh laughs softly, trying to hide her amusement.
You gaze in amusement at Wintersylph.
Shinann chuckles to herself.
Lylia says, "I look forward to an excellent campaign season."
Cruxophim suggestively jests, "I'll get out the mud soon."
Speaking firmly to Wintersylph, you say, "I would make the same choice again. I'm not a consequentialist."
Gavrien gazes in amusement at Cruxophim.
Cruxophim quickly adds, "For slinging, of course. Certainly not for wrestling."
Gavrien rolls his eyes.
Cruxophim's face breaks into a devilish grin.
Goldstr chuckles.
Evician grins slowly at Cruxophim.
Lylia just nudged Cruxophim.
Back to the Question...
Lylia turns to face Xorus.
You nod at Xorus.
Dergoatean says, "I wonder who will win this year's election-at-the-boulder."
Luxelle nods at Xorus.
Dergoatean grins.
Speaking gently to Lylia, Cruxophim reminds, "You know I say such purely in jest."
You lightly say, "Now, we do have a final que--well, a final observation to reply to, if any panelists would like."
Lylia winks.
Speaking fondly to Cruxophim, Lylia says, "Of course."
Cruxophim chuckles to himself.
Cruxophim gives you a strong, encouraging smile.
Speaking to you, Hoodtralfeck says, "That was odd timing."
Cruxophim nods sagely at Lylia.
Luxelle turns an inquisitive ear toward Xorus.
You clarify, "And by that I mean the observation Hoodie already gave us."
You grin.
You turn to face Xorus.
Xorus says, "Malluch did leave before I responded to his second query, so I would like to simply defend Cruxophim's honor briefly."
Speaking to you, Irar says, "Could we get a summary of that, Leafi? Pesky clerk interrupted us."
Cruxophim raises his voice in merry laughter.
Cruxophim nods appreciatively at Xorus.
Lylia nods at Xorus.
Speaking jokingly to Xorus, Cruxophim remarks, "Will I regret this?"
Xorus says, "Cruxophim courts darkness like few others. He also aids on a prolific scale, so it is a question of malice. I will say that the Faendryl are widely condemned as a dark and fallen race, but our ways have made our empire the only consistently safe part of the continent, and we live in what is arguably the most dangerous region of the world."
Zosopage says, "That clerk better watch himself or Rone might get him for doing that."
Xorus says, "If we were more open to such things, we would have been in far better position to counter figures such as Grishom and all of the others, and to have helped Larsya."
Lylia nods emphatically at Xorus!
Cruxophim nods slowly at Xorus.
Speaking to Zosopage, Shinann says, "Her. It was a her."
Shinann shifts her weight.
Xorus says, "I hope things continue in a better way forward. That is all."
Hoodtralfeck nods.
Lylia nods once at Xorus.
Speaking diplomatically to Xorus, Cruxophim admits, "I completely agree. The ability to use all means at one's disposal is often a critical turning point in war."
You opine, "I haven't found a much more open place than the Landing, myself, but it's true there's always room to improve."
Lylia says, "It makes no sense whatsoever to leave weapons lying on the ground and wring one's hands about defenses. One does what one must."
Speaking amusedly to Lylia, Cruxophim comments, "Or to wring one's hands about moralizing when there are lives to save. Within reason, of course."
Hoodtralfeck says, "Well in all my years."
You curiously ask, "Now, before we wrap up, would any like to comment on Hoodie's thoughts that Rone is simply a distraction from our real enemies? ...whoever those might be?" [some whispered exchanges among the panel about what the question was, having lost track amidst the clerk's announcement]
Speaking to Xorus, Lylia says, "I can see why Cruxophim appointed you one of his most valued advisors...and I must congratulate myself on my choice of campaign manager."
Lylia flashes a quick grin at Xorus.
Cruxophim flashes Lylia a toothy grin.
Xorus smiles at Lylia.
Hoodtralfeck says, "All the villains that attacked ended the same way."
You grin at Lylia.
Hoodtralfeck says, "We won."
Hoodtralfeck says, "Even when they burn the town down, we still won."
Hoodtralfeck smirks.
Speaking slowly to you, Cruxophim answers, "Well, let's see... Raznel is certainly out there, and Stone, and who knows when the next Chaston might arise out of the turbulence and chaos created in the fall of Talador."
Cruxophim raises his hand and begins to count his fingers.
Luxelle nods at Cruxophim.
Luxelle chuckles.
Speaking to Cruxophim, you clarify, "I agree, but whether those are who Hoodie meant is another question."
You ponder the meaning of Hoodtralfeck's existence.
Speaking to Cruxophim, Irar says, "Roa'ters, you forgot roa'ters."
Cruxophim looks thoughtfully at Hoodtralfeck.
Irar nods quickly at Cruxophim!
Cruxophim nods grimly at Irar.
Cruxophim puffs out his chest and stomps around proudly.
Speaking to Irar, Meureii interjects, "I do have a question for you actually."
Speaking lightly to Irar, you say, "If roa'ters were our true enemy, I'm not sure you should go around dressed as you do..."
Hoodtralfeck says, "I meant Stone and Raznel."
Speaking to you, Irar exclaims, "I wear the skin of our enemies!"
Speaking sagely to you, Cruxophim suggests, "He's blending in."
Shinann grins at Zosopage.
Irar growls ferociously!
Xorus says, "I would note that Raznel appears to have been Naimorai Kestrel, who was trapped in the past centuries. She has known all of the major points of everything that has happened in advance by many years."
You nod at Hoodtralfeck.
Looking a bit smug, Cruxophim slowly taps his index finger against his temple as a knowing expression spreads across his face.
Irar nods.
Hoodtralfeck says, "Public enemies 1 and 2."
Irar nods.
Irar nods at Meureii.
Lylia gently smooths the skirts of her gown, coaxing away the wrinkles and restoring the naturally elegant drape of the silk.
Shinann shifts her weight.
Speaking slowly to Xorus, Cruxophim reminds, "And her past may now begin to explain the grudge she seems to hold toward the Landing."
Speaking simply to Hoodtralfeck, you say, "In that case I agree--we have much more urgent things to think about than Rone, to be honest, if we're just considering the greatest good."
Speaking to Meureii, Irar says, "Certainly, after they can respond to Hoodie."
Speaking to Irar, Meureii whispers aloud, "Waiting for them to finish up now."
Lylia says, "Rone, I believe, contains the seeds of his own doom."
Deep in thought, Lylia laces her fingers before her.
Evician melodically says, "Yeah his name is Madmountan."
Madmountan chuckles.
Cruxophim raises his voice at Evician in merry laughter.
Cruxophim leans softly against Madmountan.
Speaking softly to Cruxophim, Wintersylph asks, "Where would Barnom rank in terms of Enemies Mr Mayor? You do consider him an enemy don't you?"
Hoodtralfeck says, "I fergot about him."
Speaking amusedly to Wintersylph, Cruxophim reminds, "You do know he's long gone, yes? As of half a decade ago."
Cruxophim grins at Wintersylph.
Question #6: From Meureii, Answered By Irar: The Koar Revival
Speaking to Meureii, Irar asks, "What's your question?"
Irar smiles at Meureii.
You plainly say, "This will be the final question this evening."
Irar winks at you.
Lylia removes a cup of honeyed herb tea from in her wrap.
Speaking simply to Wintersylph, Cruxophim states, "The Shadows devoured him whole, there is nothing left."
Speaking slowly to Irar, Meureii begins, "We all know the power your Lord holds so there is nae any doubt there."
Lylia takes a drink from her honeyed herb tea.
Cruxophim leans on Wintersylph.
You turn to face Meureii.
Irar nods at Meureii.
Speaking to Cruxophim, Dergoatean says, "And then a few years later we unraveled his boss."
Dergoatean grins.
Speaking softly to Cruxophim, Wintersylph says, "Cept was imparted into a few of you."
Cruxophim flashes Dergoatean a toothy grin.
Cruxophim nods in agreement at Wintersylph.
Speaking confusedly to Irar, Meureii inquires, "Why in all of the lands would you, given your faith, believe that He would need any sort of revival?"
Speaking sagely to Wintersylph, Cruxophim explains, "More like... knowledge, one supposes. Metamorphosis. Everyone learns, and grows, and changes from their experiences... especially the harrowing ones."
Cruxophim looks thoughtfully at Meureii.
You glance between Meureii and Irar.
Speaking to Cruxophim, Hoodtralfeck says, "That was a great battle, one of my favorites, nothing like stepping in and out the demon world."
Meureii continues, "And do you think that these same people creating deception and deceit across friends and family of the town here are the same people controlling those who give your orders?"
Speaking softly to Cruxophim, Wintersylph says, "But I guess my question actually was, at the time did you consider him an enemy."
Cruxophim nods in agreement at Hoodtralfeck.
Lylia gazes with interest at Meureii.
Cruxophim whispers something to Wintersylph.
Cruxophim gives Wintersylph a strong, encouraging smile.
Xorus leans on Lylia, giving her a companionable grin.
Speaking softly to Cruxophim, Wintersylph says, "Never mind ya nae need answer."
Wintersylph nods at Cruxophim.
Speaking to Meureii, Irar says, "To the first part."
You take a moment to observe everything you can about Irar.
Speaking to Meureii, Irar says, "Chaston's pogrom terrified many, and caused much chaos and horror. It drove rifts between many and also cast a dark shadow in the minds of many as to the name of Koar."
Meureii nods understandingly.
Wintersylph nods at Cruxophim.
Lylia nods at Irar.
Speaking to Meureii, Irar says, "It is not a question of whether Koar himself need be revived, nor that I do Him any favors, but that we help the faithful, and those still in fear to see that we as a community have moved beyond those bloody days."
Speaking to Meureii, Irar says, "And to come together in a spirit of fellowship and friendship, with worship free of tyranny."
Irar nods at Meureii.
Speaking grimly to Irar, Cruxophim remarks, "In much the way -- I'm venturing a wild guess here -- something must have happened to make Hlendril distrust Imperials so. Or perhaps something that led him to believe that all persons wearing armor are distrustful, who can say?"
You ponder the meaning of Cruxophim's existence.
Lylia looks like she was about to say something to Cruxophim, but she hesitates, obviously having changed her mind.
Meureii politely says, "I believe you have missed the point of the question, but have given me my answer fully."
Meureii adds, "No need to answer the second portion if you did nae like."
Meureii nods once.
Meureii issues a quick, appreciative bark to Irar.
Speaking to Meureii, Irar says, "As to the second, Prelate Lheren has been most dutiful in rooting out corruption in the Church. He is a former Watcher, after all, and given his skills, I am confident he has done that duty to his utmost ability."
Cruxophim tilts his fiery apricot rum side to side, making the light play off it.
Speaking to Meureii, Irar says, "Finally, this revival is not just about the Church- it is for all Koarites. Lheren's order was not to induct new followers to the Church, but a revival for the faithful."
Irar nods at Meureii.
You ponder.
Lylia takes a drink from her honeyed herb tea.
Meureii glances appraisingly around the room.
Speaking slowly to Irar, you clarify, "You say it -wasn't- to induct new followers? So it is like... renewing one's vows?"
Shinann says, "Now that the witch's spell seems to have worn off."
Speaking to you, Irar says, "It is a revival of faith."
Cruxophim nods absently at Shinann.
Cruxophim leans against the sideboard, taking a momentary rest.
Speaking to Irar, you ask, "...among people who never left the Church?"
Luxelle nods.
Speaking to you, Irar says, "Reinforcing the community of the faithful, strengthening bonds between us, dispelling fears, and casting off distrust."
Lylia folds her arms, appearing to listen intently. She nods from time to time.
Speaking to you, Irar says, "Among all Koarites."
Raelee quietly remarks, "One can be disillusioned with an institution while still associated."
Irar agrees with Raelee.
Cruxophim gives Luxelle a friendly hug.
Cruxophim kisses Luxelle tenderly on the cheek.
You surprisedly admit, "Hm. I might have misunderstood the Prelate... but maybe that's no surprise since I'm not involved with the Church."
You nod at Irar.
Cruxophim gazes in amusement at Raelee.
Speaking softly to you, Wintersylph says, "There are some worshippers of Koar who don't belong to the church or follow its Dogma."
You nod at Wintersylph.
Raelee squints at Cruxophim.
Dergoatean says, "Good night, friends."
Speaking coolly to Raelee, Cruxophim notes, "Indeed."
Cruxophim gives Raelee a strong, encouraging smile.
Dergoatean waves.
Cruxophim hugs Dergoatean.
Dergoatean just left.
Cruxophim leans softly against Meureii.
Wrapping Up
You simply exclaim, "We will wrap up now and we thank you all for joining us this fine evening!"
Irar exclaims, "Thanks everyone for coming!"
Lylia inclines her head.
Cruxophim flashes Meureii a toothy grin.
Cruxophim hugs Irar, who wraps him in a warm embrace.
Irar gags.
Shinann smiles.
You recite:
"We'll convene for our next Town Hall on the 8th, then the 11th after that!"
Irar hugs Cruxophim, who wraps him in a warm embrace.
Cruxophim applauds warmly.
Hoodtralfeck whispers something to Cruxophim.
Luxelle exclaims, "You were a wonderful audience!"
Lylia says, "Indeed, thank you all for your insightful questions and attentive presence."
Cruxophim begins chuckling at Hoodtralfeck!
You recite:
"There is no telling what we'll be discussing on those dates--anything could happen here in the Landing!"
Cruxophim flashes Hoodtralfeck a toothy grin.
Irar turns toward you and renders you a sharp salute with his drinking horn.
Hoodtralfeck whispers something to Cruxophim.
Cruxophim collects a scarred bone cup from a large compartment inside the ebonwood kit.
Irar takes a drink from his drinking horn.
Luxelle says, "Panel, you were exceptional tonight. You covered a lot of ground on very contemporary questions of pressing matters."
Cruxophim lifts his bone cup in a toast and proclaims:
"Survival in the face of adversity... for Wehnimer's Landing!"
Luxelle stands up.
Irar put a polished whalebone drinking horn in his roa'ter skin swordbelt.
Cruxophim plops a scarred bone cup into a large compartment inside the ebonwood kit.
You recite:
"Thank you again for joining us all, and your thoughtful questions and comments, and we'll look forward to seeing you again."
Cruxophim raises his articulated gauntlets heavenward in triumph, allowing the remaining blood to drip down onto his face!
Luxelle bows her head slightly as she drops into a deep, respectful curtsy.
You nod in agreement at Luxelle.
Irar lets out a cheer!
Interlocking his fingers above his head, Irar stretches slowly, extending his spine in a satisfying stretch.
Speaking earnestly to Luxelle, you say, "It was a night of going very deep into a few topics. I enjoyed the change of pace."
You nod once.
Speaking to Luxelle, Lylia says, "I know we said it earlier, but congratulations again."
Hoodtralfeck lifts his bone goblet in a toast and proclaims:
"To Wehnimer's Landing, crushing all invaders.....eventually."
Speaking to you, Roelaren says, "Thank ye for presenting us with the fine evening."
Lylia smiles.
You smile at Roelaren.
You hug Roelaren, who wraps you in a warm embrace.
Lylia gives Luxelle a friendly hug.
You turn to Hoodtralfeck and cheer!
Irar grins at Hoodtralfeck.
Irar hugs Lylia.
Speaking fondly to Hoodtralfeck, you say, "I love it."

Roelaren gives Luxelle a friendly hug.
Irar says, "Best of luck you two."
Irar nods at Lylia.

Cruxophim raises his voice at Hoodtralfeck in merry laughter.
Lylia hugs Irar, who wraps her in a warm embrace.
Cruxophim nods approvingly at Hoodtralfeck.
Shinann says, "Best of luck to both the candidates."
You wish, "We will be in good hands either way, but truly--may the best of us win."
Speaking to Irar, Lylia says, "Thank you. I am very much looking forward to an enlightening campaign season."
Lylia bows to Shinann.
You shake hands with Lylia.
You nod at Shinann.
You receive a firm handshake from Lylia.

You curtsy gracefully to Shinann.
Lylia hugs Roelaren, who wraps her in a warm embrace.
Irar says, "Have a great evening, everyone."
Irar waves.
Evrali glances between Lylia and yourself.
You wave to Irar.
Evrali smiles.
You grin at Evrali.
Luxelle beams!
Evrali grins at you.
Cruxophim pleasantly concludes, "Indeed, best of luck; both are fine candidates, and we are fortunate to be blessed with the choice. Surely we win either way? If you'll pardon me however, work waits for no Mayor."
Irar bows to Wintersylph.
Cruxophim chuckles.
Evrali says, "It should be interesting."
Lornieh winks at you.
Luxelle hugs Lylia.
You nod in agreement at Cruxophim.

Cruxophim hugs Beldannon, who wraps him in a warm embrace.
You grin at Luxelle.
Lornieh exclaims, "Evening!"
Beldannon grins at Cruxophim.
Cruxophim warmly wishes, "Fair eve, all... and be safe out there."
Cruxophim offers Hoodtralfeck a bacon-wrapped blood pudding donut.
Speaking to Luxelle, you muse, "Whoever wins, the TownCrier wins, at least."
You flash a quick grin at Luxelle.
Hoodtralfeck accepts Cruxophim's blood pudding donut.
Lylia says, "With two candidates, perhaps the debate questions can go into greater detail. The last time I ran, so many candidates made it difficult to distinguish one from another."
Irar snickers at you!
Hoodtralfeck grins.
You nod at Lylia.
Cruxophim nods sagely at Lylia.
Xorus nods at Lylia.
Lylia adds, "For the most part, that is."
Speaking lightly to Lylia, Cruxophim jests, "If I vote for you, will there be blood?"
Cruxophim flashes a quick grin.
Lylia raises her voice in merry laughter.
Speaking to Lylia, Shinann says, "I had just moved here, at that time."
Lylia says, "My dear, where you are, there is always blood."
You nonchalantly say, "In the Landing... there'll be blood either way."
You chortle.
Lylia nods at Shinann.
Stonmel says, "It'll be easy to tell this time, one is a traitor, the other merely a supporter and friend of that traitor."
Cruxophim kisses Lylia tenderly on the cheek.
Stonmel shrugs.
Cruxophim grins at you.
Speaking to Shinann, Lylia says, "Chaos."
You gaze in amusement at Stonmel.
Speaking sagely to you, Cruxophim notes, "Good answer."
Stonmel just went south.
Shinann nods.
Shinann says, "I think I still have all the pins."
Cruxophim grins at Shinann.
The voice of Thrassus says, "What a monomaniacal mind that one has."
Lylia sincerely says, "Then come to the debates, and give each of us a chance to prove ourselves."
You laugh softly, trying to hide your amusement.
Cruxophim offers Evrali a bacon-wrapped blood pudding donut.
Speaking unconvincingly to Cruxophim, Evrali says, "I think I'm allergic to your donuts."
Cruxophim chuckles.
Cruxophim's eyes cloud over with dark shadows as he prepares a spell...
There is a bright flash and a cherry-filled loaf of dark bread appears in the air, then falls into Cruxophim's left hand.
Cruxophim offers Evrali a cherry-filled loaf of dark bread.

"Post-meeting donuts!"
Shinann inclines her head.
[flood of donuts ensues]
Shinann just went south.
Lady Luxelle just went south.
Cruxophim hugs you, and you wrap him in a warm embrace, stirring the faint scent of dry olibanum, vetiver, and black moss over opoponax and hints of blood around him.
You musingly say, "I'm inclined to reserve our Town Halls for discussing news, since there'll be other opportunities for debates, but we'll think it over before deciding anything for certain."
Lylia takes a drink from her honeyed herb tea.
A pale-faced coppery barn owl flies in and lands on the floor.
You hug Cruxophim, who wraps you in a warm embrace.
The coppery barn owl pecks at a bacon-wrapped blood pudding donut.
You flash a quick grin at a pale-faced coppery barn owl.

Lylia grins at Xorus.
Speaking sincerely to a pale-faced coppery barn owl, you say, "Next year, or some other year, we can work on that... talonwriting."
You nod to the coppery barn owl.
The coppery barn owl hoots at you.
Speaking amicably to you, Cruxophim opines, "I see the wisdom in that, but sometimes supplemental debates in a less formal setting can be elucidating, as well -- at least, from my past experiences."
You rub your chin thoughtfully.
Cruxophim tosses you knowing glance, taps his nose, and then points at you.
Cruxophim lightly places his hand on the coppery barn owl, which responds by moving his body beneath his hand for a thorough rubbing.

Speaking to Lylia, Melivn says, "Your chicken is much more scary don't fret."
Lylia raises her voice in merry laughter.
Speaking to Lylia, Xorus says, "One can eat a thousand times its body weight every day through unnatural means. The other is a demon from Lorae'tyr."
Lylia says, "Sharper, at least."
Lylia removes a red verlok feather from in her wrap.
The coppery barn owl hoots at Melivn.
Cruxophim raises his voice at Melivn in merry laughter.
Lylia snickers at Xorus.
Cruxophim warmly wishes, "Fair eve, all."
