How do I use talk pages? I've only ever lurked Wiki content.

You just did. Basically, every page has its own talk page ('Discussion' tab at the top). You can add comments by navigating to the talk page, then clicking the "Edit" or "+" tab. You will be forwarded to an edit page, and you type whatever you wish. If you do this specifically on user talk pages, then that user is notified on their next log-in that they have message(s) waiting for them (and receive Email notification if turned on). At the end of your comment, be sure to auto-sign with your username and a timestamp, all you have to enter is four tildes (like this: ~~~~) after the text. You can hit the preview button at the bottom to see what it looks like.

I am going to create a gear difficulty modifier page that has all three of the templates together on one page along with a description of what the gear difficulty modifier is, at which time I will revert your change. Certainly. Please do not spend too much time being concerned about stepping on my toes. If there is something that isn't in accordance with the style guide, wiki consistency, or the directions I am given, it is easy enough to edit or revert the changes. It is not an emotionally-loaded event worth feather ruffling. I appreciate and value the work of all contributors to the wiki; their time and effort demonstrates their passion for this beloved game.
