ANALYZE is a both a movement system verb and special case verb.

Usage:
ANALYZE {item} - Shows information regarding a scripted item.
ANALYZE LOUD {item} - Messages others that you are analyzing an item.
ANALYZE ROOM - Examine current room for valid, open portals.
Usage
Item
As a special case verb, it can be used to show the special properties and merchant restrictions of an item. Therefore, in order to use ANALYZE, it must always be used with an object target. Items must be in a character's hands or be worn by a character to be properly analyzed.
Enhancive items charged with SimuCoin store items will have their expiration date and time displayed.
Messaging
Messaging for ANALYZE {item} will vary dependent on item properties and script. Below are some examples.
- Failure (item in container)

- Standard container (not max light/deep)
- Note: This is only a guideline. Despite estimated messaging from the ANALYZE tool that reflects that the item may be worked on, a merchant may decline to work on the item.
>anal sat You analyze your lilac satchel and sense that the item is free from merchant alteration restrictions. You might be able to have a talented merchant lighten the lilac satchel for you or have its pockets deepened.
- Standard container (max light/deep)
>anal sat You analyze your components satchel and sense that the item is free from merchant alteration restrictions. You can tell that the satchel is as light as it can get and that its pockets could not possibly get any deeper.
- Scripted Item - Magic gloves
>anal my glov You analyze your scarlet gloves and sense that the item is largely free from merchant alteration restrictions. The creator has also provided the following information: * It is fully alterable. These scarlet gloves are set to use fancy messaging for WAVE. They're using the following set of messaging: You dismissively flick your hand at YOUR TARGET with an air of indifference. These scarlet gloves are set to use fancy messaging for RAISE. They're using the following set of messaging: You raise your hands high above your head, as your scarlet gloves are surrounded by a bright glow. These scarlet gloves are unlocked. You get no sense of whether or not the gloves may be further lightened.
