The updated map with Reim has smaller dimensions for whatever reason than the last 2 versions of Elanthia; seeing about getting a copy with the same or larger dimensions as the original, but not sure if that'll happen! GS4-KAIKALA (talk) 07:48, 9 January 2017 (CST)
Should this file be renamed to Elanith? WINTERDAWN (talk) 03:15, 4 February 2023 (CST)
Note about Illustrator and Cartography information update: While digging through old archives for unrelated information, I came across the old official "Quest Elanthia" site, which in 1998 was a part of the broader official "gamemasters.net" website. Noted that the artist, Starr Mahoney, was mentioned by name, as well as early examples of the map created by GMs Banthis and Lyredaen. 1) the original sketch, 2) The watercolor comp provided to the Illustrator. Note these predate the establishment of lore for the Elven Nations by a few years, so at the time the "Dragon Spine" mountains were referred to simply as "Great Mountains".
As a side note, it's very likely that all the other GemStone maps done in the same style were created by her as well, but this is the only one I could verify through documentation. She is an illustrator and calligrapher, and the style of all those maps is very similar to her more recent works ([Scroll by Starr Mahoney (2010)). She also did extensive illustration for the Dungeons & Dragons "Birthright" series. ~ DUNGEONCRAWLERS (talk) 16:15, 20 July 2025 (CDT)
