Banthis bows (also known as the original elemental bows) are a type of self-ammo weapon originally designed by GameMaster Banthis.

All of these bows spontaneously generate their own ammunition. The generated arrows have elemental flares. They are also all permablessed.

While originally these bows were not capable of supporting player services, they are now able to take all player services to further enhance them.

These bows are, in their original state, 5x/5x bows that flare their particular element on every shot and are permablessed.

Original Release Notes

After the archery first came out, an auction had 5 bows called "an elemental bow of XXXX" back in the day when the only flare types were fire, ice, acid, electricity, and impact. They are all effectively 10x weapons, with the bow being 5x and the ammunition produced also being 5x.

One of the original bows was lost shortly after the auction. There are most likely only 4 bows remaining.

Ammunition

The exact enchantment of the arrows/bolts can vary randomly per shot between +1 and +30. These bows have at least +20 base enchantment, so the final (bow + arrow) bonus can vary between +21 and +50. Enchanting a bow beyond the base will lead to less variation: for example, a +30 bow will have a final bonus between +31 and +50.

Unlike other ranged weapons, the maximum is not capped at +50. Since the ranged review in December 2021, the cap for this type of bow still keeps the weapon enchant at +50, but the arrows are still further enchanted. Any enchant from the arrows that leads to an enchant over +50 is halved. So a 10x bow would result in a range of +50-65 AS bonus.
