RainboWear items are heavily scripted clothing characterized by the ability to change color, fabric and description when fully unlocked. Once fully unlocked, there are 41 color options, 22 fabric options and 12 long description options (with 3 additional, customizable long spots), the latter of which vary by clothing type (shoes, pants, shirt, gown). Available options for both color and material gradually expand with each unlock. These options are listed below. RainboWear debuted in the Rainbow's End shop at the Talador Baronial Coronation Festival in 2014. This shop was owned by the merchant Toffit. It has since been sold at a variety of festivals and events. RainboWear can be unlocked by Toffit, Royg, or via "a glowing multicolored swathe" (a reward in the collectible system). Tier 0/OTSTier 0 RainboWear has several basic verbs but is unable to change color.AnalyzeYou carefully analyze your brown muslin shirt and sense that there are some alteration restrictions. Your shirt must remain some kind of shirt or blouse - no bodices or chemises. You can change the article (the first 15), but it will carry forward to all variants of the shirt, even after unlocking. IE: if you make it "an old white shirt", then it will always be "old". No shows; long descriptions are okay as long as the additional description falls after the noun. You may alter the color to one of the following: red, blue, green, yellow, brown, black, white, orange, purple, or pink. You may alter the material to one of the following: silk, twill, wool, satin, linen, velvet, cotton, muslin, spidersilk, damask, or leather. You can alter the "extra" (the description after the noun.) This is currently Tier 0 and has the following verbs available: CLEAN, PINCH, PULL, RUB Your shirt can be unlocked by any talented merchant. Tier 1At Tier 1, RainboWear gains the ability to change color from a preset list. The following colors are available for cycling beginning at Tier 1: red, blue, yellow, green, brown, black, white, orange, pink, purple.Usage
Tier 2At Tier 2, RainboWear has an expanded list of colors available. It also gains several verbs for fluff messaging. The following additional colors are available for cycling beginning at Tier 2: scarlet, indigo, sallow, emerald, chestnut, onyx, ivory, peach, lavender, silver, gold.
Tier 3At Tier 3, RainboWear gains the ability to change material from a preset list. It expands its list of colors again, and it gains two new verbs for fluff messaging. The following additional colors are available for cycling beginning at Tier 3: bisque, raven black, pewter, honey-hued, gamboge, russet, marigold, sanguine, cerulean, viridian. The following materials are available for cycling beginning at Tier 3: silk, twill, wool, satin, linen, velvet, votton, muslin, spidersilk, damask, leather.
Tier 4Tier 4 RainboWear is considered fully unlocked. It gains access to the full list of colors and materials. It also gains access to a list of preset long description options that can be cycled through as with its color and material; these options are specific to each garment type. The following additional colors are available for cycling beginning at Tier 4: magenta, cranberry, champagne, celadon, dove grey, pearlescent, turquoise, two-toned, rose, alabaster.
