Appearance
You see Lady Liraelith the Life Giver.
She appears to be an Aelotoi of the Mrae'ni Clan.
She is of a modest stature and has a delicate figure. She appears to be fresh-faced and newly stepping into adulthood. She has heavy-lidded dark blue-green eyes and porcelain white skin. She has shoulder-dusting, loosely curled midnight indigo hair with twin curls framing her face. She has a delicate face, a button nose and slender wrists. She has a pair of sapphire blue wings accented with a scattering of gold-outlined stars.
She is wearing an enameled onyx night sky pendant, a midnight blue cloak patterned with pale crescent moons, a pair of rose-tinted glasses, a jewel-affixed copper signet fob caught with mixed chains, a fitted pitch-black tussah silk half-bodice with snug cap sleeves, a small crystal Sovyn pin, a glacial blue lacquered weapon harness fringed with lich finger bones slung over her shoulder, a thick knitted lunar eclipse-motif dappled deep shadowy black backpack, some ensigiled leather hunts, some midnight black starsilk gloves embroidered with white scrollwork, a smooth monsoon jasper ring with swirls of cerulean and cobalt, some white oak prayer beads, a silver-dusted navy blue alchemy bag with a series of thick silver closures, a frosted knitted skull-patterned icy blue spidersilk pouch, a cire leather herb kit scuffed at the corners, a pair of loose drawstring trousers of soft pitch black cotton, and some dark ice blue lich boots buttoned with iridescent ghostly white pearls.
Early Calling
Before she was the Mourning Star, Liraelith once carried weight among Aelotoi refugee ranks. Young but driven, Liraelith was trained in the rites of healing and holy wrath, taught to wield the power of Ronan’s night not for serenity, but for the eradication of the restless dead.
She was stationed in Lysierian Hills and later Zul Logoth, where necromantic incursions broke through weakened underground wards. Her sapphire wings once shimmered with ash and blood. She led moonlit raids into crypts, sanctifying the defiled, smashing bone with the holy light of dreams turned sharp.
The Breaking Moment
One night, during a siege near Talador, she encountered a once-Aelotoi woman—undead, enslaved by dark magics. Her name was Aelynne, and she had once been Liraelith's childhood friend, presumed dead during the escape from Bre’Naere.
Liraelith hesitated. Her troops did not. Aelynne was destroyed before she could speak.
After the battle, Liraelith found Aelynne's tattered journal, miraculously intact in the wreckage. Inside were lucid, dreamlike entries—proof that her soul had not been lost, only trapped. That night, Liraelith cast her holy weapon into a river and walked into the woods, refusing her command.
Pilgrimage & Revelation
Liraelith wandered the Sea of Fire, then the DragonSpine, alone and silent. It was during this aimless pilgrimage that she fell into a deep slumber in an ancient glade — a sleep that lasted seven days. In that time, she dreamed of Ronan.
He stood in the center of a withered forest, shadows curling like smoke at his feet. He did not speak, but behind him walked every soul she'd failed to save—each one peaceful, eyes closed, unchained.
When she awoke, she knew her path. No longer a blade of wrath — she would become a song of peace. The Mourning Star was born from that dream.
Legacy and Present
Now, she is a whispered legend among surviving soldiers of the war. Some call her a coward; others a saint. She never speaks of Aelynne — not directly. But she keeps the torn journal wrapped in indigo silk, stored away safely, and wears a smooth monsoon jasper ring that once belonged to her friend.
She refuses high honor or command. She walks the world’s edges: battlefield to battlefield, grave to grave, always searching for the next soul to lull to peace.
Liraelith resides in Wehnimer's Landing, learning to strengthen her profession. She is on the path of the Order of Voln and works her way through the cleric guild in between meditations.
