Verb:READY

The READY verb is a system verb that is used to ready held combat armaments, such as weapons, ammo, and shields. It is part of the group of verbs that makes item handling safer and easier.

Valid options are: READY SHIELD (CLEAR)
READY WEAPON (CLEAR)
READY 2WEAPON (CLEAR)
READY RANGED (CLEAR)
READY AMMO (CLEAR)
READY AMMO2 (CLEAR)
READY WAND (CLEAR)
Clicking the above options will ready or clear the selected item.
Use READY LIST to view your current settings.
Usage
{Option} SET
READY {option} SET is used to set a preferred item for use with the READY verb. In Wrayth, this can be handled via clicking applicable links.

Your current shield is: a gleaming rolaren greatshield
Currently valid shields:
a gleaming rolaren greatshield (worn)
You may use READY SHIELD CLEAR to clear your default shield.
{Option} CLEAR
READY {option} CLEAR is used to clear the designated item for the selected option. In Wrayth, this can be handled via clicking applicable links.

SHIELD
READY SHIELD readies one's designated shield.

>ready shield You sling a gleaming rolaren greatshield off from over your shoulder. (Change your default item by selecting ready list.)
WEAPON / 2WEAPON / RANGED
READY WEAPON readies one's designated weapon(s). READY 2WEAPON and READY RANGED function in the same manner.

>ready weapon You remove a white alloy war hammer from in your leather sheath. (Change your default item by selecting ready list.)
AMMO / AMMO2
READY AMMO and READY AMMO2 readies a single piece of ammo, such as an arrow, from a bundle. This is less likely to see direct use due to how archery operates.

READY WAND readies one's designated magic item, not just wands. This is less likely to see use with the introduction of the RESERVE verb and slots.

LIST
READY LIST outputs one's current settings when using READY, with the exception of a designated "wand."
