Red Skies is a shop in the Flotilla that specializes in navigational tools. This is a rotating shop and may not be available at certain times.

Red Skies, Main Deck

[Red Skies, Main Deck] Room: 7134244
Freshly swabbed, the wooden planks of the main deck are painted a deep crimson. Iron-ringed masts rise up from the center of the ship, their rigging blackened with pitch, and overhead, the canvas sails hang like tattered scarlet wings flapping in the salt-laced sea breeze. Coils of rope and stacked barrels line the railings, while a great wheel of dark cocobolo wood stands aft, its surface polished smooth by the hands of countless helmsmen. You also see a narrow crimson gangplank and a pair of glaes-paned doors nestled beneath the quarterdeck.

The low-ceilinged cabin is lit by a swaying oil lantern, the smoky light casting sharp shadows across a pair of crossed cutlasses ornamenting the stern wall. A broad mistwood table bolted to the floor dominates the center, strewn with curled charts, navigational tools, and a half-drained bottle of rum. Crimson drapes frame the expansive, salt-stained windows, while a bed constructed of oak and rope lies tucked behind a curtain of faded sailcloth. You also see a footlocker and a large cabinet.

Inventory

In the footlocker you see: an openwork brass astrolabe, a nacre-inset bronze astrolabe, a miniature obsidian-ringed astrolabe, a filigreed rose gold astrolabe, a string of driftwood beads, a braid of dried seaweed, a length of knotted silk, a distressed leather cord, and a parchment sign.

a parchment sign
In the Common language, it reads:
The astrolabes in the display case can be PERMANENTLY attached to the string-like necklaces also found in the case. This cannot be undone. Choose wisely.

Your brass astrolabe is a navigational instrument used to make astronomical measurements of celestial bodies.

You may alter only the 15/15/15 of the astrolabe. If PUT onto an appropriately scripted neck-worn chain/string, the long description of the astrolabe will be permanently changed. This may only be done ONE time.
