The Winterberry Festival is one of two free festivals hosted by River's Rest in their nearby Festival Grounds. The first Winterberry Festival was held in 2016 and it returned again in the following year to celebrate one favorite aspect of the local cuisine.
Both the Winterberry Festival and the Pickle Festival utilize the local festival grounds. The River's Rest Festival grounds are located outside of town, just east of the drawbridge.
If you like winterberries, you'll love this festival! Come on by and play some games, enjoy some contests, mingle and shop until your heart's content!

Activities
The Winterberry festival hosts a variety of merchants and shops. It traditionally holds two contests - one for poetry and one for a winterberry recipe.
Current Event Schedule
Date Time Event Location Description May 5 9:00pm ET Winterberry Festival opens River's Rest, Festival Grounds May 6 2:00pm ET Recipe Contest Entries are due in by 9 PM EST on 5/4. The rules are as follows: at least ONE ingredient must be winterberries, no more than 10 ingredients, supply a quick blurb about how it's cooked, and two taste messages! May 7 4:00pm ET PoetrY Contest A poetry contest will be held on 5/7 at 4 PM EST. These do NOT need to be submitted in advance, can be any form of poetry, and must SOMEHOW involve winterberries. Keep it clean.
