This is not an updated list of current verb options, but a historical preservation of the Sylvanfair verb list. I have locked it from further editing. Updated messaging should be reflected on each verb's VERB (verb) page please! GameMaster Vanah (talk) 04:46, 7 February 2016 (CST)

I don't think people should be locked from editing it and I don't think it should have been reverted. I think any progress on it is good, not everyone is comfortable working in the individual pages. When I originally transferred it, I don't think anyone had the opinion that no one could improve it, I just said that I wouldn't. Also, as discussed during and since the site transfer, no pages should be locked from editing by players except for Official Documentation. VANKRASN39 (talk) 08:42, 7 February 2016 (CST)
If the Sylvanfair one is going to be kept as-is for historical reasons, I don't see a reason not to copy it to Verb list (which is currently a redirect) and allow updates to that page. That said, I don't see a reason to make it a permanent archive. The verb list, while it took a ton of effort, isn't a creative work; it's a literal list of verbs and what they do. Also, there is literally nowhere else to go save Category:Verbs (which is terrible to browse and not obvious to check out to new wiki-ers) to see all the verbs in Gemstone. How do you know to go to the <X> verb page to see what it does if you don't know the verb exists? PFLATS (talk) 09:45, 7 February 2016 (CST)
I think having a separate verb list is a better idea. I use this page quite frequently as a snapshot of how verbs were in the past. It is not nearly up to date to be used as an accurate current verb list. I will leave it protected because there are many other better places to put verbs (the proposed non-redirected verb list, the reverse verb list, the individual verb pages) and it is easy to accidentally edit this one. At 2000+ views since Jan 1, 2015, I think rather than inconveniencing everyone else by locking it to the version you want and forcing everyone else to go to a different page, keeping your preferred version elsewhere would be better, like on the GM Wiki or printed to PDF. A lot of people know the verb list as the "Sylvanfair verb list" and likely have it bookmarked. VANKRASN39 (talk) 10:21, 7 February 2016 (CST)
I have the utmost respect for Vanah and her edit history on the Wiki and her work as a GM, but the actions taken here do not set good precedent. As PFLATS said, this is not a creative work. VANKRASN39 (talk) 09:56, 8 February 2016 (CST)

Vanah- I believe this shows the authors of the list intended it to be updated by whoever was willing to take on the task, and that information was gathered from wherever they could find it. I'm sorry, but the list of verbs that you posted does not have the same detail of information on it as this one does. There is no reason for this page to be locked. Every attempt has been made to make this list complete but with over 1600+ verb variations I did find, I'm sure I've missed some. Send any corrections or additions to Wexna.
First thanks must go to Eratika whose mantle, filthy as it is, I will endeavor to wear. Next thanks go to all the folks I have blatantly stolen information from to piece this thing together.

Updated verbs (new or changed) will be marked with a yellow highlight during the month of update. New verbs with typos, if caught, are published as they will be corrected and not with the typo.

For folks that have never checked out the SCRIPTED ITEMS tab, rest assured that I do not automatically provide spoilers. You must force the program to show you the trigger verb.
