The butter-soft leather of the boots has been dyed a rich ebon hue and is clasped along the sides with enameled eahnor buttons. The boots have been designed for a secure fit and the soles are ingeniously padded to guarantee an extremely quiet tread. The crest of Ta'Nalfein is stamped into the side of the right heel and the seams have been sewn in blackened veniom, melding perfectly with the rich black leather.

Loresong:
As you begin to sing, your vision begins to blur and you only see the boots in your hands. Everything in your periphery washes away and, seeing the boots with clarity, you gain a sense of a time long since past.

The room darkens and when you regain focus, you see a vision of a torch-lighted room, well-furnished with lush rugs and tapestries. You take in every detail of the room, your sight landing on a group of serious-faced young elves seated before an older elf; his age evident in the slight lines that grace his features, a silvery scar running the length of one cheek. The older elf holds something in his hands, his fingers tracing over it as he instructs the youths

The vision shifts and you get a closer look at what the elder elf is holding -- a pair of boots so black that, in the shadows of the room, they can barely be seen. You begin to notice that each of the younger elves also hold a pair of the dark boots, each set identical.

The older elf stands and, striding slowly amongst his students, he inspects their stitch work and gives each an approving nod. He removes the pair of boots from his desk, the youths watching him raptly.
