There are three flavors of messaging available for each component: Lance (traditional knight), Gaston (self-important/arrogant knight), and Monty (clumsy knight). The type of messaging is always noted in the item's {{boldmono|ANALYZE}}. Messaging for the flavors is similar at its base, sometimes with only slight differences, sometimes with some more pronounced differences, for all of the verbs EXCEPT {{boldmono|RUB}} (which is the same for all flavors). The messaging that will be used is dependent on the item you're directly acting on -- it uses that item's flavor and tier, even if other KnightWear items of other flavors/tiers are mentioned in it. Because of this, you can mix and match flavors and tiers to get the combination that works best for you. Only one of each type of KnightWear item can be worn at once - so only one belt, etc.
Per the ANALYZE: "KnightWear items have messaging that sometimes incorporate other worn KnightWear items and specific types of footwear into the messaging. Some messaging also differs when mounted on a Rumor Woods-style horse." KnightWear items come OTS with four verbs. The two different verb set unlocks are independent of one another and can be added in any order or combination.

You analyze the tanned leather pourpoint and sense that the creator has provided the following information:


This pourpoint is part of the interactive KnightWear family and is set up as {{blue|an armor}} item with the {{blue|Lance (traditional knight!)}} set of characteristics. KnightWear items have messaging that sometimes incorporate other worn Knightwear items and specific types of footwear into the messaging. Some messaging also differs when mounted on a Rumor Woods-style horse. You sense that the pourpoint currently includes {{blue|the base verbs (Verb Set 1)}}. You can try to: WEAR, REMOVE, RUB, and TAP the pourpoint. Note: you can only wear 1 per "type" of KnightWear at a time (i.e. you can wear 1 KnightWear belt and 1 Knightwear surcoat at the same time, but you cannot wear 2 KnightWear belts at the same time).

KnightWear is a series of scripted items that interact with each other, themed for knights and jousting. They are sold at Rumor Woods in The Knight Way.

There are three flavors of messaging available for each component: Lance (traditional knight), Gaston (self-important/arrogant knight), and Monty (clumsy knight). The type of messaging is always noted in the item's ANALYZE. Messaging for the flavors is similar at its base, sometimes with only slight differences, sometimes with some more pronounced differences, for all of the verbs EXCEPT RUB (which is the same for all flavors). The messaging that will be used is dependent on the item you're directly acting on -- it uses that item's flavor and tier, even if other KnightWear items of other flavors/tiers are mentioned in it. Because of this, you can mix and match flavors and tiers to get the combination that works best for you. Only one of each type of KnightWear item can be worn at once - so only one belt, etc.

KnightWear items come OTS with four verbs. The two different verb set unlocks are independent of one another and can be added in any order or combination.

Armor

Analyze

You analyze the tanned leather pourpoint and sense that the creator has provided the following information:

This pourpoint is part of the interactive KnightWear family and is set up as an armor item with the Lance (traditional knight!) set of characteristics.  KnightWear items have messaging that sometimes incorporate other worn Knightwear items and specific types of footwear into the messaging.  Some messaging also differs when mounted on a Rumor Woods-style horse.  You sense that the pourpoint currently includes the base verbs (Verb Set 1).  You can try to: WEAR, REMOVE, RUB, and TAP the pourpoint.  Note: you can only wear 1 per "type" of KnightWear at a time (i.e. you can wear 1 KnightWear belt and 1 Knightwear surcoat at the same time, but you cannot wear 2 KnightWear belts at the same time).

Optional: specify how your armor is assembled: "pieces" or "parts", more generic methods like "straps and buckles" or simply just "straps", etc.  The default is no particular method.  It is currently not set.

Optional: specify the ornamentation on the spurs.  Must make sense in the following: "the ___ ornamentation on your spurs" (and make sure the LOOK output doesn't read awkwardly).  Default is no ornamentation.  It is currently set to: the leaf-laden ornamentation.

Surcoat

Analyze

~~ KNIGHTWEAR ALTERATION INFO ~~~
The celsylk surcoat may be altered within guidelines for its item type, but the noun must remain something almost exactly identical to a surcoat -- tabards and longer similar items that can have a loose fit are acceptable; short shirts, aprons, vests, bodices, etc. are not acceptable.  Any show descriptions MUST incorporate the surcoat's design.

Optional: specify the material in messaging -- default is "fabric".  It is currently set to: grey-toned celsylk.

Required: specify the in-brief design/markings on the surcoat.  The design should not be over-complicated nor too wordy (it displays in verb messaging output).  Must make sense in the following:  "gesture at the __________ on your celsylk surcoat" -- default is  "interlocking serpent and phoenix design".  It is currently set to: soaring thielfiras.

Optional: detailed design/marking.  This is a more detailed description of the in-brief design that will show up in LOOK/SHOW.  This should only describe the above design/pattern and should always make sense on a fabric surcoat.  The in-brief design currently has no extra detailing.

Modifications and Script Adding

Rumor Woods offers automated options for adding the script onto eligible items as well as modifying the customizations.

  • There is "a tall beak-nosed seamstress" in The Knight Way shop that offers a few alternate surcoat designs. This only alters the design/pattern on the surcoat. ASK her about DESIGN or ORDER for more info.
  • There is "a youthful black-haired blacksmith" in the Rumor Woods forge that offers a few options for embellishing your spurs. This only alters the ornamentation/rowels on the spurs. ASK him about DESIGN or ORDER for more info.
  • There is "a paunchy balding apprentice" in the Rumor Woods forge that will add Tier 1 KnightWear helm actions to currently unscripted helms (if the helms are properly built). ASK him about ORDER for more info.
  • There is "a petite copper-haired blacksmith" in the Rumor Woods forge that will add Tier 1 KnightWear armor actions to currently unscripted armor (if the armor is properly built). She can also add Tier 1 KnightWear gauntlets actions to currently unscripted UAC gloves that have the noun 'gauntlets'. ASK her about ORDER for more info.
