The River’s Rest Museum
The River’s Rest Museum is located south and west of the entrance to the Pavilion of the Bells. With a blue tiled roof and walls covered in stucco tinted a soft orange hue the Tower that houses the River’s Rest Museum is very similar in appearance to how many of the ruins about town may have looked like before they became ruins.
Upon entering the tower, visitors to the museum will first notice the giant mosaic covering the floor of the central hall. There are four exhibit rooms located off of the entrance hall, one room in each of the four cardinal directions.
Visitors will also notice that just inside the lovely arched door a small sign is posted. This sign informs visitors that though everyone is encouraged to enjoy visiting the museum, only those of the Bard profession may handle the items in the museum. While much of the loresong information is available here, certain aspects are not. Visitors are encouraged to seek out someone of the bard profession for the full museum experience.
The Tour
Upon reaching the museum, visitors will notice a dense grove of tall persimmon trees surrounding a small green lawn. In the center of the lawn stands a squat, circular tower made of stucco. Unlit torches line the white gravel walkway leading to the tower. Muted birdsong filters in through the trees. Entering through the graceful arched doorway, visitors begin their tour in the Entrance Hall.

A gigantic mosaic forms the floor of the entrance hall. Exhibit rooms branch off in the cardinal directions. The circular stairway at the back of the hall is blocked off by a velvet rope barrier. A small sign stands beside the graceful arched doorway leading out. Obvious exits: north, east, south, west

The room smells of beeswax and incense. A large, faded tapestry graces one of the walls. Standing in a corner of the room is a tall statue of a brawny man in armor. A pair of crossed spears border the exit. A wide shelf on one wall overhangs a sturdy exhibit table.

[Museum, Exhibit Room South]
An exhibit table is flanked by a pair of very tall ceramic vases. Hanging from the ceiling is a giant stuffed lizard. A shelf along the wall contains a number of smaller items. A large pick-axe with a silver head leans in the corner. The pleasant scent of beeswax and incense suffuses the room.

[Museum, Exhibit Room East]
In the center of the room is a sturdy oak platform holding a slab of riverstone. Overhanging an oak table in the back is a family portrait of a man and woman. A tall wig stand in the corner holds a wig of dark, tightly-curled hair. The room smells slightly of beeswax and incense.

[Museum, Exhibit Room West]
A thick carpet covers the floor. The subtle scent of beeswax and incense infiltrates the room. A delicate maoral stand against the wall holds a small sand timer. Leaning against the wall are two giant palm frond fans. A pair of massive ivory tusks flank a long shelf.
