The potential for loss of an item through the CMAN DISARM is a significant topic of discussion these days. Opinions vary with the severity of how best to address this issue, but all seem commonly united behind the concept that item loss should be avoided into today's Gemstone.

One of the updates we players heard was captured as reflected here (From Discord#Mechanics).

My disarm notes:

Disarm changes.
Not changing how disarm works in regards to knocking out of hand
Working on eliminating the loss from janitor or other situations.
Working on making it so you can recover it from where it was disarmed within specific limitations
Also additional silver cost through adventurers guild recovery process if choose to do that instead
30 day limit on recovery.
It's a priority project but no eta.
Itchy curse, bit by dog, whatever is considered disarm. But not if you drop the item.
That was August of 2017, tho, and things have most likely changed especially with the project changing hands.
