Parsing a few logs of other players using Empathic Assault, it appears that the damage done in the CS cycles is roughly predicted by:

(15 + 0.5*(endroll - 100))

for the players I tested. The error bands get slightly higher for endrolls 200+, but I doubt many people will encounter that scenario in actual gameplay.

For 39 samples across 6 different players, the average error is -2.1, so this seems to be an accurate predictor.

The 6 players tested had extremely variable lore and Mental Mana Control training. There is no evidence that any of the following affect damage: Manipulation, Telepathy, Transformation, Mental Mana Control.

There may be a small variable component to damage (probably 1d5 at most). The same player on the same cycle number (#1) against the same target dealt 29 damage on a 128 enroll and 27 damage on a 129 endroll.

There is a small amount of evidence that later cycles do very slightly less damage (e.g. -1 dmg on the second cycle, -2 dmg on the third cycle), but this may be coincidence of variable damage and a small sample size.

GM Estild confirms that MMC does add to damage. Details added to page. VANKRASN39 (talk) 10:03, 8 October 2015 (CDT)

I saw the MMC factor was removed from the page. I like to get GM confirmation before removing things from the Wiki that appear in the official spell description. Sometimes it even uncovers bugs. Posting on Officials. VANKRASN39 (talk) 23:01, 7 October 2015 (CDT)
