* User talk:ILLONA: Hello! I enjoyed reading about your character, Tanai. While I was reviewing updates on her character page Tanai (platinum), I noticed that you did not include the artist or copyright information on the page itself the image :File:Tanai2.png that was recently updated for it. Please see Help:Style#Copyrights for more information about the requirement to provide the source and artist name for all images uploaded to GSwiki. If you are the artist who created the image, you can simply note that instead. If you need an example of how to do this, the character page Arenglae (prime) does this very clearly for all of the portraits. Additionally, if the image was created using AI software, you will need to note what software was used to create it. Unfortunately simply stating that you own the copyright to the image is not sufficient. As an example, it can be as simple as, "Image created by the uploader using MidJourney" (or whatever software is appropriate). Thanks for understanding! I'll check back in soon to see if this information has been updated. HOST-GSKEBECHET (talk) 08:52, 10 January 2023 (CST)

::Hello, ILLONA. I previously reached out to you about an image on your character page, Tanai (platinum). GSwiki has a new policy for all images uploaded to it. I have flagged one of your images that is not in compliance with the updated Gswiki:Policy for Copyrights regarding images. The image that has been flagged as needing updated information is as follows:
::* :File:Tanai2.png - Who created the prompt for this image? If that person is not you, do you have permission to upload it? Thank you for already noting that this was generated with the Midjourney AI imaging software.
::If that information is not added within 7 days, it will be deleted from the wiki. If you have any questions about this process or need more information about the updated policy for images, please reach out to the wiki team on the Gemstone forum's wiki thread. Uploaded Image Patrols

Ongoing record of images needing copyright/attribution information added.

• User_talk:LALAMJ: Hello! It has been nice getting to know Abilene on her character page. While I was looking at the image on her page, "Abilene.jpeg", I noticed that it did not have information about the original source or that permission was granted to use it. Please see Help:Style#Copyrights for more information about the requirement to provide the source and artist name for all images uploaded to GSwiki. If you are the artist who created the artwork, you can simply note that instead. If you need an example of how to do this, the character page Arenglae (prime) does this very clearly for all of the portraits. Thanks for understanding! I'll check back in soon to see if this information has been updated. HOST-GSKEBECHET (talk) 09:47, 14 September 2022 (CDT)
• User talk:ALLENM20: Hello! I enjoyed viewing the artwork on your character page for Nemdenia (platinum). While I was reviewing the recent updates on it, I noticed that you did not include the artist or copyright information on the page itself for the image that you uploaded, "Nemdenia Portrait.png". That information must be noted on the page using the image, not just in the image's metadata. HOST-GSKEBECHET (talk) 08:35, 8 November 2022 (CST)
• User talk:KITHUS: Hi, there! Thank you very much for your many contributions to the wiki. While doing some patrols of recently (and not-so-recently) updated pages, I noticed that you uploaded several images for guides you authored that do not have artist or copyright information on the pages where they are displayed. Specifically, I am referring to "Issalya_portrait.jpg" on Comprehensive Wizard Guide; "Necromancer.jpg" on Comprehensive Sorcerer Guide; "Bard_Weapons.jpg" on Comprehensive Bard Guide; "Ranger_and_wolf.jpg" on Comprehensive Ranger Guide; plus "Empath.jpg", "Warpath.jpg", and "Dissector.jpg" on Elanthia 5e. In addition, I could not find anything about the various Arkati symbols on the Elanthia 5e page; they appear to be made and uploaded specifically for it.
This information must be noted on the page using the image, not just in the image's metadata. Please see Help:Style#Copyrights for more information about the requirement to provide the source and artist name for all images for which you have permission to uploaded onto GSwiki. If you are the artist who created the artwork, you can simply note that instead. If you need an example of how to do this, the character page Arenglae (prime) does this very clearly for all of the portraits. Any artwork that is official Simutronics artwork does NOT need this. Thanks for understanding! I'll check back in soon to see if this information has been updated. HOST-GSKEBECHET (talk) 08:21, 17 November 2022 (CST)
• User talk:INDIFFERENT: Hello! I enjoyed reading about your character, Esana. While I was reviewing updates on her character page Esana (prime), I noticed that you did not include the artist or copyright information on the page itself the image File:Esana.jpg that was recently added to it. HOST-GSKEBECHET (talk) 08:30, 4 January 2023 (CST)

Hello, ILLONA.
• File:Tanai2.png - Who created the prompt for this image? If that person is not you, do you have permission to upload it? Thank you for already noting that this was generated with the Midjourney AI imaging software.
If that information is not added within 7 days, it will be deleted from the wiki. If you have any questions about this process or need more information about the updated policy for images, please reach out to the wiki team on the Gemstone forum's wiki thread. Thank you for your understanding.

• User talk:BURGHALGNOME: Hi there, BURGHALGNOME. I enjoyed reading the recent article you helped write, Free North News Issue 3. Thank you for including which AI software was used for the accompanying images with the article. However, I did notice that you did not include full attribution information for them, such as who created them (for four of the six images) or if permission was granted to upload them (for the ones that you did not create). The seven images are as follows:
Please see Help:Style#Copyrights for more information about the requirement to provide the source and artist name for all images uploaded to GSwiki. If you are the artist who created the five with no person cited, you can simply note that instead. If you need an example of how to do this, the character page Arenglae (prime) does this very clearly for all of the portraits. Thanks for understanding! I'll check back in soon to see if this information has been updated. HOST-GSKEBECHET (talk) 09:08, 2 May 2023 (CDT)
Correction: File:Freenorthnews.png does have full attribution information on the image itself. You can disregard the above for this specific image. I will be editing the Free North News Issue 3 article to update the attribution information for that displayed image. Apologies for that oversight. HOST-GSKEBECHET (talk) 09:16, 2 May 2023 (CDT)
Hello, BURGHALGNOME. I noticed that you uploaded some more images recently that do not meet the current style guide for attribution information needed. It appears that none of the images are used in any articles, so the attribution information will need to be updated on the image file itself for each of them. That can be done by clicking on Edit at the top of each of the linked image files, then updating the text with the required attribution information, similarly to editing any article on the wiki. As a reminder, all images must clearly include three components: 1) the name of the artist who created the image, 2) the name of any AI imaging software used, if any, and 3) if permission was granted by the image's creator, if that person is not you. The list of images missing some or all required attribution components are as follows:
• File:FNNcultsymbol1.png - Who created the image? What AI imaging software was used, if any? Was permission granted by the creator to upload this image if that person is not you?
• File:FNNMalwindeatsrocks1.png - Thank you for noting the name of the image creator and which AI imaging software was used. Was permission granted by the creator to upload this image?
• File:FNNCookingRolton1.png - Thank you for noting which AI imaging software was used. Who created the image? Was permission granted by the creator to upload this image if that person is not you?
• File:FNNCookingrolton2.png - Thank you for noting which AI imaging software was used. Who created the image? Was permission granted by the creator to upload this image if that person is not you?
• File:FNNroltonfashion1.png - Thank you for noting which AI imaging software was used. Who created the image? Was permission granted by the creator to upload this image if that person is not you?
• File:FNNroltonfashion2.png - Thank you for noting which AI imaging software was used. Who created the image? Was permission granted by the creator to upload this image if that person is not you?
• File:FNNroltonfashion3.png - Thank you for noting which AI imaging software was used. Who created the image? Was permission granted by the creator to upload this image if that person is not you?
• File:FNNroltonfashion4.png - Thank you for noting which AI imaging software was used. Who created the image? Was permission granted by the creator to upload this image if that person is not you?
• File:FNNMrhowler.png - Thank you for noting the name of the image creator and that permission was granted to upload it. Was AI imaging software used in its creation? If so, the name of the software will also need to be included.
In addition, there are still six further images that are missing this attribution information that were uploaded previously and that I have already contacted you about. That information is not included anywhere on the wiki, whether on the image file itself or on the article where those images are featured, Black Thorn Resistance/Free North News Issue 3. At minimum, per the current style guide, that information will need to be included on the article where they are displayed. Once again, those six additional images are:
• File:THAT advertisement.png - Thank you for noting the name of the image creator. Was permission granted by the creator to upload this image?
• File:THAT recruitment.png - Thank you for noting the name of the image creator. Was permission granted by the creator to upload this image?
• File:Lithnobasket.png - Thank you for noting which AI imaging software was used. Who created the image? Was permission granted by the creator to upload this image if that person is not you?
• File:Thornimpfashion1.png - Thank you for noting which AI imaging software was used. Who created the image? Was permission granted by the creator to upload this image if that person is not you?
• File:Thornimpfashion2.png - Thank you for noting which AI imaging software was used. Who created the image? Was permission granted by the creator to upload this image if that person is not you?
• File:Thornimpfashion3.png - Thank you for noting which AI imaging software was used. Who created the image? Was permission granted by the creator to upload this image if that person is not you?
Please see Help:Style#Copyrights for more information about the requirement to provide the source and artist name for all images uploaded to GSwiki. If you are the artist who created the images with no artist cited, you can simply note that instead. If you need an example of how to do this, the character page Arenglae (prime) does this very clearly for all of the portraits.
I realize that this is not the first time I have reached out to you about missing attribution information. If you are unsure as to what information is needed or why, or if you need help adding that information to the wiki, please direct your questions to the Official GSWiki Disucssion, v2.0 thread in the official GS Discord server's Help forums where a member of the staff wiki team can address them. Please ensure that this information is updated in the next 7 days. If it has not been updated at the conclusion of 7 days, then these images will be deleted from the wiki. Hello, BURGHALGNOME. Thank you for updating some of the images I previously contacted you about. Most of the updates look great and conform with the new image policy, however I did have to flag two that are not yet in compliance with the updated Gswiki:Policy for AI-Generated Artwork. The images that have been flagged as needing updated information are as follows:
If that information is not added within 7 days, they will be deleted from the wiki. If you have any questions about this process or need more information about the updated policy for images, please reach out to the wiki team on the Gemstone forum's wiki thread. Thank you again for your understanding. HOST-GSKEBECHET (talk) 10:06, 12 July 2023 (CDT)
