The TEND verb applies bandages to a bleeding wound. (Bandages are not an inventory item; it is assumed adventurers always have a ready supply of them.)

The success of this is based on ranks of First Aid. Tending wounds causes roundtime for both the tender and the tendee with a maximum of 60 seconds. If the tender does not have the required amount of ranks to tend to a wound, but has at least half of the ranks required, a bandage covering half of the bleed amount will be applied. The DIAGNOSE and HEALTH verbs will show a player whether or not they can bandage a wound, and how much roundtime it will incur.

Bandages can last for a number of offensive actions equal to the tender's (First Aid Ranks / 10), after which they will fall off and the player will begin bleeding again.

Tending while the Tend Lore spell is active will be 25% faster and the tender will be granted 20 phantom ranks. Roundtime can also be reduced via Celerity (506).

You can tend someone who is standing as long as their demeanor is neutral or higher. However, to unwrap bandages, they will have to sit.
