So we've added a handful of new items.
There are 5 helmets that have resistance and padding in Gamac's Goods.
There are 3 new mannequins in The Mar and Scar with high-end loot. We've readjusted the price on the faenor waraxe as well (lower). All the armors are similar in properties. I'll explain more about the other wares later. There is also an infamous spoon and a butcher knife for sale there too.
We added 2 new X/day items, floating disk and invisibility, but they are 2x/day.
There is a 6x/6x acuity NerveStaff for sale.

Different types of rats. Sewer rats are the most abundant. There are 15 more descriptors and 5 new types of rats.

Right now, there is nothing limited at this event. But there is a high chance we will rotate some gear for next time, so don't count on the same wares after this run.

The event will run from 5/1 at (roughly) 9pm until 5/10 at (roughly) 9pm ET.

Subject: New Items For Sale
We've added alchemy/gem jars to the shop list. They are located in Spellbound. The 100 blooscrip jars hold 50, the 250 bloodscrip hold 100.
In Crosswinds and Crosshairs, the crystal-sighted crossbows are tier 1 unlocked, which hold up to 3 bolts at a time. The mechanical arbalests are 5x and tier 2 unlocked, and hold up to 5 bolts at a time. I mistakenly thought they fired all the ammo at once, but they still only fire it one at a time.

We've also added some items that may appeal to more RP-centric characters instead of purely mechanically-inclined prizes. Spellbound is now home to a new tome and codex which are chock full of verbs to help you express yourself!
For example...
Tamuz flicks a bit of dust from a page of his leather-bound tome.
Tamuz flips through the pages of his leather-bound tome.
Tamuz gazes intently at a page of his leather-bound tome, lost in thought.
Tamuz moistens his fingertip with his tongue and slowly turns a page of his leather-bound tome.
Tamuz emphatically pokes a finger at a page of his leather-bound tome.
Tamuz turns his leather-bound tome over and shakes it vigorously, but it seems there's nothing stuck between the pages.
Tamuz turns a page of his leather-bound tome.
Tamuz pulls a small stylus from the binding of his leather-bound tome, scribbles something on a page, then puts the tool away.
Tamuz slams his leather-bound tome shut with a loud THWAP!
Tamuz drums his fingers on his leather-bound tome, lost in thought.

So.... I was able to add some uncommon flares to A Flash of Strength as well as up some of the enchants to 6x!
There are parchments explaining which is which.
Also... all items except leather helms, brawling weapons, and runestaves have what we commonly call anfelt armor and weapon scripts fully unlocked.

There's not much more information other than what's provided already. They are very old. Only a handful were ever released. They are strictly fluff. They do only one thing - track the phasing of the moons. That's it.
But, there are not many of them out there. It's just an opportunity to have a nifty thing that no one else (or very few) has.

Just a few updates here - thank you for your feedback.
The two gems in Gamac's Goods have had their cost adjusted. The pink diamond is now 75 BS and the blood red diamond is 150 BS.
The drinks in Under the Counter now have 10 sips.
The trinkets in Khloake and Dagger are now 100 BS.

Quick correction/addendum on that listing of the expensive wants.

These are actually multi-wands. They cast several spells at once. The spells listed at the first spell in the list, which caused the misunderstanding.

These are the illusion pins that have gone out in recent event feeders. They have special wear/remove messaging, and display a single line of text indicative of the element they are set for. These particular illusion items are different from past ones in that these can be hidden (if you don't want them displaying in your inventory.)

The weightings are good for 50 hits.
The flares are good for 150 hits.
Assume that nothing stacks.

Oh and these bane oils are not new. They've had at least one appearance before. So semi-new...ish.

The Shimmer Trinket and its unlock certificates are in Spellbound on the dilapidated wooden shelf (be sure to specify "get trinket from shelf" to avoid referencing the other trinket in the room). The trinkets cost 5,000 bloodscrip and comes with 3 charges. The unlock certificates cost 1,000 bloodscrip and add 1 maximum charge to the trinket. Each charge lasts for 30 days (so by default, you only have to recharge the trinket every 3 months), then can be recharged by monks via Shroud of Deception (1212) or recharging merchants. You can realistically unlock it as many times as you want (i.e. with 9 unlocks, the trinket will last 12 months between full charges). Once on the last charge and it will expire in 7 days or less, you'll get a warning a few seconds after every login. Elemental Detection (405) and loresinging can provide details on the current and maximum charges the trinket has, with the latter providing the most information. I'll add this information to the wiki later tonight.

This is now open.
The stand and rack have 5x "traditional" Iasha-style weapons.
The certificates:
- The unlocking one should hopefully be very straightforward.
- The "Lesser All-Profession upgrade" confers the script-related benefits (the holy fire flares and the verb messaging) to all professions for Tier 1 and Tier 2 Iasha weapons. To be clear, you can add it to a Tier 1 weapon or a Tier 2 weapon -- what order you do it in makes zero difference.
Greater All-Profession upgrade -- no plans to offer this during this run of Duskruin, but it will allow Tier 3 Iashas to confer the WIS+teleport benefits to any profession -- however, it requires that the weapon it is added to have the Lesser AP upgrade already on/in place. (In other words, if you're a cleric/paladin, you follow the traditional Tier 1, Tier 2, Tier 3 sequence per usual. If you are any other profession, to get the full benefits of a Tier 3 Iasha, you would need to follow a Tier 1, Tier 2, Lesser AP upgrade at T1 -or- T2, Tier 3, Greater AP upgrade.)

Stretching high into the horizon to the east are the tall, white-capped peaks of the Dragonspine Mountains, sheer cliffs adorning the slopes like armor. Battered cobblestones line the road, with tall buildings lining either side of the thoroughfare. A crumbling stone wall is all that separates the town from the beginning of the mountain slopes. You also see a narrow space between two buildings, a dark shop and a hazy sigil-carved building.

The solid walls of this room are barely visible through a fog that circulates about, yet brief glimpses reveal various sigils covering the walls, varied in color, shape, and vibrancy. The haze is in constant in motion, forming tendrils which weave in and out of your presence. An ironwood table and a glowbark display case are neatly centered in the middle of the room, causing any fog near them to dissipate. You also see a simple witchwood sign.

Just a note that the backroom of Bundle Up will be open at the opening of Duskruin itself and won't be delayed.
Scaling pricing is in effect for the T0 to T1 unlock certificate (3%) and the compartment certificate (10%), but they are unlimited in total quantity. There are only 2 T1 to T2 unlock certificates available and there will be a 50% scaling. All certificates will be in the backroom.
Platinum and Shattered will not have scaling pricing and just have limited amounts - the same as they were last run.

Subject: Spellbound: +Enchanting/Ensorcelling Potions
Debuting in Spellbound at this Duskruin are 2 new potions that enhance the caster's enchanting or ensorcelling skill. The bonus is the same as +500 extra spell ranks when attempting to cast each spell. You can hold the potion in your hand when casting at the actual item to see the difficulty result as if you had used the potion. The enchanting potion will have 10 doses (enough for a 10x enchant) and the ensorcelling potion will have 1 dose (enough for any tier). The price is 50k with 10% scaling, limit of 10 each. Just to be up front, while that is a large bonus, it's not enough for claidhmores and the such.

Re: zelnorn and other -999 materials, those will be outright blocked even with the potion. Those values were previously set because it was intended that enchanting/ensorcelling skill would never reach that point. These potions change that, but their goal isn't to make explicitly disallowed materials to now be reachable, but instead to allow you to overcome stacked properties (weight + enchanting + flares, etc).

T3 MagicSlings were sold once OTS last year, but now you can upgrade your existing T1s and T2s to that tier. For those who don't know, T3 has two simple but cool upgrades: TOUCH, a verb that lets you show off the sling's flavor, and NUDGE, which lets you turn the sling into a runestaff-displayer.
These certs will work on MagicSlings past and present.

I know you have all been waiting for this.
On Saturday, August 22nd at 8 PM EST I'll spin for the chance to purchase 2 T2 to T3 Compartmentalized Quiver unlock certificates in Prime. This will take place in the backroom of Bundle Up.
It is 50,000 bloodscrip to purchase these - the spin is just for the opportunity to purchase. You must have enough bloodscrip REDEEMed at the time of the spin to be eligible - no passing bloodscrip afterwards.
Additionally, you will also have to have a Compartmentalized Quiver unlocked to T2 /and/ being held in your hand to be eligible for the spin. You will not be able to buy one after the spin - you must have it unlocked to T2 and on your person.

She moved cautiously across the creature-filled landscape, ready to swing at the first sign of movement or threat. She knew that the bonds between her and her faithful equipment, which had protected her for centuries, had become practically unbreakable. Nothing was going to come between her and them, especially not the foe.
The crisp snap of a twig diverted her attention just behind her. With incredible agility, and an astute awareness of her surroundings, she quickly slipped behind a nearby tree. Barely breathing so as to not alert an enemy to her presence, she watched -- and listened -- for any sign of movement. With every breeze, she slid her hand closer to its sheath on her belt. Inch by inch, and painstakingly slow, she waited for each precise moment when the environment would breathe and mask the sound of creasing leather as she neared her weapon's hilt, and her fingers prepared to close around their destination.
Without hesitation and in a fluid, single movement, she grasped her weapon, leapt from behind the tree, spun to face the opposite direction, and lunged forward with a swift swipe to the left!

Before anyone rushes off to find this weapon...
This is not a weapon item! But you will need a weapon in order to use the item. Or, you could have a shield - or armor.
This will be a certificate that you can apply to one of those items to receive these unique flare messages. There are two types of flare certificates:
1) Messaging to a specific flare type
2) Messaging for any flare type
For instance, if you purchase a certificate that has messaging for FIRE flares, you will need to apply it to an item that has fire flares. (Important note: If you change those flares in the future to something else, then the flare messaging will no longer work for that item.)
If you purchase a certificate that has general message (ie: NO specific flare), then whichever flare your item has, whenever it flares, it will give this flare messaging.
Right now, only pre-made messages are available, but for future updates to this shop, I would love to hear ideas. I actually perused some communication channels and pulled out some ideas from the past year or two when creating this shop...
Nonetheless, here are a couple more teasers of flare messages that you can find in this shop:

Correct, unlock certificates are eligible for this process too. When you buy the certificate, it is attuned to your account and only you may use it to unlock an item. When it is used to unlock an item, it will then also attune the item to your account. Items that are already attuned cannot be unlocked by a certificate that is attuned to someone else. Note: due to the way this works, you can't buy attuned certificates and sell them to someone else.

It's a tricky question with a complicated answer. I'll do my best.
I'm not sure what "old-style" Coraesine weapon you're referring to. It probably makes a difference. But if an item has a script that has "scripted flares" -- not just a script that calls heat flares or ice flares or something -- but has its very own special flashy flares (take Forest Armor, for instance -- those kinds of flares are what I'm talking about...), then these flare messages will not override the flare messaging. The script flares will always take precedence.

I'm excited to announce some flavor changes that will be available on select items at Duskruin.
Those of you that utilize STANCE VERBOSE will notice that when using items from the following shops...
Sparrow's Dance
Kraet Deal
Kraet Length (some not all)
Get Thee Behind Me (this will be retroactive once it clears QC)
... that your stance changes will be a little bit fancier. An example using the Kraet Length Hasta is as follows:
Stance Defensive
> Original: You move into a defensive stance, ready to fend off an attack.
> New: You pull your hasta across your body and prepare to defend yourself.
Stance Offensive
> Original: You move into an offensive stance, ready for battle.
> New: You step forward and turn your hasta until the head is pointed outward.
If you have two items in hand that both use this new VERBOSE System, then it will default to the right-hand item.

There is a crate inside the Mar and Scar that sells the old special loot that dropped in the various activities. They cost silver, not bloodscrip. For the vial and feet, I've increased the number of times you can use them (sign includes this), and the duration is 3 minutes a use. You can ANALYZE all the items too.
In the Common language, it reads: These items both have specific uses within Bloodriven Village!
- Spheres: AoE attack in the arena. (1 use)
- Misericords: Kill one opponent in the heist (outside the boss) with STAB. (1 use)
- Rabbit's foot: Increase luck at loot, smithy invite, or trove token in the sewers. There is a greater and lesser variety, priced accordingly. (3 uses)
- Vials: Rat scent to attract rats. (5 uses)

Subject: Strange Waiver
The strange waiver (weapon base change certificate) has been pulled from the [Temple of Tentacles]. If you have a parasite weapon this run and planned to use it, you can ASSIST to request to purchase one. However, please note, the dabbler or no GM will ever remove the script from such a weapon. This service was never intended as a backdoor to change a weapon base, then remove the script. To avoid such confusion, the waiver has been removed from the shop and will not return at future runs.

Hello,
Ice Patch Skates will be offered in the shop Blades of Glory at Duskruin this run. They will be sold in the Kraet Encampment.
There will be unlock certificates to bring the skates from Tier 1/OTS to Tier 2 and Tier 2 to Tier 3.
Also, thanks to the generosity of GM Tamuz, Snowball Satchel unlocks from OTS to Tier 1 will also be available.

Cobalt blue runes connect three small round holes that form a triangle with a larger hole in the center. Each circular space houses a whalebone disc that can easily spin on a steel axle. One smooth edge of the box is painted sky blue and houses a coin slot.
The three smaller discs appear blank, as does the larger disc in the center.

Subject: Duskruin Teaser - Buccaneer Skirts and Spyglasses
Stocked for their maiden voyage in The Yarrrpee Shoppe... A new line of skirts and spyglasses for those who appreciate the brinier things in life.
Both skirts and spyglasses have different messaging for some verbs when used either on land, on the deck of an ocean-faring ship, or below decks. The ship referred to in this case can either be one of your Open Sea Adventures vessels, the OSA intertown ferry, the Glaesen Star, or the Smuggler's Cutter. Some verbs vary slightly based on whether it is night or day, your complexion, or whether or not you're wearing additional leg covering, among other things.
SPYGLASSES!
Spyglasses/telescopes DO work properly when PEERing on an OSA ship. They can be altered, and can have their strap material and an embellishment customized by any willing merchant.
PUSH (on the deck of a ship, during the day): You tighten the brass segments of your spyglass, brushing away the salt and moisture from the golden eyepiece covering the bands. You raise the lens to the level of your eye, adjusting the focus as you gaze out over the effulgent waters.
PULL (on the deck of a ship): Tivvy grasps her silver-inlaid spyglass firmly in one hand, collapsing the brass segments while carefully cleaning the golden eyepiece of salt and water. She finishes her task, brandishing her silver-inlaid spyglass toward the sea.
POINT MY SPYGLASS AT <PERSON>:
(One random option) You raise your spyglass to one eye and point it at Brunette, blinking as you focus on your target who is suddenly much too close, scrutinizing the forest of his curly brown tresses in search of vermin.
(Another random option) You raise your spyglass to one eye and point it at Brunette, blinking as you focus on your target who is suddenly much too close, imparting intimate acquaintance with the pores in his ivory skin.
(Third person) Tivvy points her spyglass at you, and you see a comically magnified hazel eye blink at you through the lens.
WEAR (with a belt on): Tivvy deftly collapses the segments of her brass spyglass, twisting it firmly before affixing it to her leather belt with the stamped ebon leather strap.
REMOVE: Tivvy casually flicks the stamped ebon leather strap holding her silver-inlaid spyglass, allowing it to fall briefly before deftly catching it with a dramatic extension of her arm, extending the brass segments to full-length.
SKIRTS!
Skirts can be altered and their straps, thigh-sheath, and fabric can also be customized by willing merchants. They can hold a single dagger in the attached thigh-sheath.
Some of the verbs:
WEAR: Tivvy leans down and slips casually into her skirt, her fingers brushing along each knotted black leather strap as she buckles them in place.
INSPECT (with a dagger in the sheath): You look closely at Tivvy, examining a bustled skirt of raw emerald silk adorned with long plumes. Peeking out from beneath the emerald silk fabric of Tivvy's skirt, you catch a glimpse of a faenor-riveted suede thigh-sheath and the glint of alexandrite.
PULL (on land, with an alexandrite dagger in the sheath): Tivvy strides forward with intent, the high slit of her skirt revealing a flash of alexandrite as she unsheathes her dagger from her faenor-riveted suede thigh-sheath. She brandishes it in a fluid arc before flamboyantly finishing with an elaborate "T" slashed in the air.
RAISE (on land): You pinch the emerald silk fabric of your skirt, lifting the hem slightly, and do a few adroit steps of a quick, whirling jig.
RAISE (on the deck of a ship, with bare legs): You lift the hem of your skirt slightly and feel the sea breeze catch the emerald silk fabric, whipping it tempestuously around the bare freckle-sprinkled pale skin of your legs. You loose a jubilant whoop as you revel in the primal thrill of maritime power.

Subject: Knit One, Punch Two
The last shop in the Kraet Encampment is a knitting shop. It will sell three new types of yarn that will be unique to Duskruin:
Fleece: A soft, warm, and wooly yarn from sheep, goats, etc.
Chenille: Although tricky to knit with, this yarn has an attractive appearance and velvety texture.
Heather: Blended from a number of different-colored or dyed fleeces, and then spun.
There is also a new set of knitting needles that will create a pair of trukt, which are gloves for use in unarmed combat. They have many zests innately built into them.
