Summary: A relic drawn from the consuming Zephyra Wilds, the Cirrose Parasite vissi suffers its wielder more than obeys them. This invasive species did not survive on Nyessem by being gentle, and the bloodshed it brings to your enemies will make that painfully clear.

Location: Lady Maivaldius' retainers at the Zephyra Wilds Conundrum harvest these vissi, and they are available to all Elanthians in exchange for aevit.

Aversaris Vangaris
Ability Lush, lethal, and without remorse, this parasitic vine buries itself deep into flesh and leaves its seed behind. Should the seed take root, the victim's carcass will detonate from within and yield an aortic amber: a beautiful gemstone born of blood. Wrap yourself in a lattice of parasitic vines and let their feral appearance serve as a warning: aggression incurs a cost. The vines remember every strike, and they do not let debts go unpaid.
Tier 1

-SMR damage attack that launches a barbed Nyessemian vine at target. If vine successfully strikes:

-If target is flesh and blood: Create a chest wound. 10% chance of stun for 3 seconds. Imbeds a seed that will injure every 6 seconds for 18 seconds or target dies. Each seed injures, attempts to stun for 3 seconds (10% chance of success). If killed by spell or while effect is active, the carcass's chest erupts, creating an aortic amber:

  • 96% chance low quality amber
  • 3% chance mid quality amber
  • 1% chance high quality amber

-If target is not flesh and blood or is a boss / forbidden critter type (i.e., bosses): Seed cannot be imbedded inside creature, just the raw damage SMR damage.

-3 sec RT on cast.

-Cooldown of 2 minutes.

Encompasses the user in a protective lattice of vines that provides +10 DS and 10% crush and impact resistance protection

Duration: 30 seconds.
Can be cast 2x per day.

Additionally, while vine lattice is active, the vines will perform an SMR auto-counterattack on any target that strikes its owner (Player's level SMR factor plus a modifier of +20 per tier). Successful strike inflicts 5% of critter's remaining health in damage with a minimum damage of 20 and maximum of 150.

If creature is legged: counterattack will target the legs and set target prone for 5 seconds.

If creature is not legged or is forbidden (bosses): damage effects go through, but no trip.

Tier 2

-Cooldown reduced to 90 seconds.

-Bonus Unlocked: +25 to SMR roll.

-If target is flesh and blood:

  • Stun chance increased to 20%.
  • Adds 2% chance to auto-kill target on cast is of equal or lesser level (can't auto-kill boss or forbidden critter types or players).

-Aortic Amber percentages:

  • 92% chance low quality amber
  • 5% chance mid quality amber
  • 3% chance high quality amber
Lattice now grants +20 DS and +20% impact / crush resist.

Adds +5 SMR protection.
Duration increased to 45 seconds
Can be cast 3x per day.

Tier 3

-Cooldown reduced to 90 seconds.

-+50 to SMR roll.

-If target is flesh and blood:

  • Stun chance increased to 30%.
  • Adds 3% chance to auto-kill target on cast is of equal or lesser level (can't auto-kill boss or forbidden critter types or players).

-Aortic Amber percentages

  • 85% chance low quality amber
  • 10% chance mid quality amber
  • 5% chance high quality amber
Lattice now grants +30 DS and +30% impact / crush resist.

Adds +10 SMR protection.

Duration increased to 1 minute

Can be cast 4x per day.

Tier 4

-Cooldown reduced to 45 seconds.

-Adds +75 to SMR roll.

-If target is flesh and blood:

  • Stun chance increased to 40%.
  • Adds 4% chance to auto-kill target on cast is of equal or lesser level (can't auto-kill boss or forbidden critter types or players).

-Aortic Amber percentages:

  • 72% chance low quality amber
  • 20% chance mid quality amber
  • 8% chance high quality amber
Lattice now grants +40 DS and +40% impact / crush resist.

Adds +15 SMR protection.

Duration increased to 1.5 minutes.

Can be cast 5x per day.

Tier 5

-Cooldown reduced to 30 seconds.

-Adds +100 to SMR roll.

-If target is flesh and blood:

  • Stun chance increased to 50%.
  • Adds 5% chance to auto-kill target on cast is of equal or lesser level (can't auto-kill boss or forbidden critter types or players).

-Aortic Amber percentages

  • 65% chance low quality amber
  • 25% chance mid quality amber
  • 10% chance high quality amber
Lattice now grants +50 DS and +40% impact / crush resist.

Adds +20 SMR protection.

Duration increased to 2 minutes.

Can be cast 6x per day.

Additional Note Aortic Amber may be of the following qualities

Low quality: a chunk of turbid aortic amber — The amber's surface is pitted and dull, its traditional golden hue virtually overtaken by a cloudy scarlet that veils the entire gem. At its core sits a shriveled embryonic vine, its outline little more than a dark smudge within the sanguine haze.

Mid quality: a piece of veined aortic amber — Semi-transparent and casting a sickly yellowish glow, the smooth golden gem is marbled by crimson veins that partially obscure a budding embryonic vine trapped within its resinous tomb.

High quality: a shard of pristine aortic amber — Flawless and pellucid, the amber casts a warm glow as gentle as its honey-gold hue. A vibrant embryonic vine sits perfectly preserved at the center, enveloped in a spiderweb of gossamer scarlet threads so delicate and precise that they appear as part of the gem's design rather than an impurity.
