Duskbringer weapons

Daybringer weapons were introduced at Duskruin Arena August 2021 by GM Retser and were sold at Burning Twilight. Nightbringer weapons, their complement, were introduced at Duskruin Arena August 2022 by GM Retser and were sold at Twinkling Twilight.

Daybringer

Daybringer weapons are the original version of the script released in 2021, with Nightbringer weapons as the sister script. They draw their strength from the light of the sun. They share similar setups, but have fire flares against the living and plasma flares against the undead. The strength scales slightly with the unlock as well as unlocks other abilities. The fire flares are weaker than the plasma flares, and the plasma flares have a tier-based chance to flare twice against the undead.

Tier 1

At Tier 1, the Daybringer weapon includes Daybringer Flares, Daylight (add charges), and Cauterize (stop bleeders). The weapon uses fire flares against the living and plasma against the dead. The strength scales slightly with the unlock as well as unlocks other abilities. The fire flares are weaker than the plasma flares, and the plasma flares have a tier-based chance to flare twice against the undead.

Analyze

Tier 2

Tier 2 adds the Daylight Anomaly and allows charging with magic, and improves most abilities. Charges can be added with Fire Spirit (111), Sun Burst (609), Searing Light (135), or Light (205).

Tier 4

Tier 4 adds the Consecrate area effect ability, and improves most abilities. Tier 4 also allows you to COMBINE your weapon with a complementary weapon to achieve the Duskbringer weapon unlock, allowing you to swap between the Daybringer and Nightbringer forms. For example, if you have a fully unlocked Daybringer weapon, you could COMBINE it with an off-the-shelf Nightbringer weapon of any type to allow access to both forms. Customizations are stored separately for each form.

Nightbringer

Nightbringer weapons are the sister script to Daybringer weapons and were released in 2022. They draw their strength from the darkness of night. They share similar set ups, but have disintegration flares against the living and cold flares against the undead. The strength scales slightly with the unlock as well as unlocks other abilities.

Tier 1

At Tier 1, the Nightbringer weapon includes Nightbringer Flares, Darkness (add charges), and Cauterize (stop bleeders). The weapon uses disintegration flares against the living and cold against the dead. The strength scales slightly with the unlock as well as unlocks other abilities.

Tier 4

Duskbringer

Duskbringer weapons have combined the Daybringer and Nightbringer forms and both are present on a single weapon. A Duskbringer weapon can rotate between both Day and Night forms. Each form can have its own customizations. Only one form (Day or Night) can be active at a given time. Swapping between Day and Night is done via TURN. Each form has that version's abilities with the same cooldowns.

Unlocking a weapon to the Duskbringer form is done by combining a Tier 4 Daybringer or T4 Nightbringer with an OTS/Tier 1 weapon of the opposite form via the COMBINE command. The Tier 1 weapon does not need to be the same base as the Tier 4 weapon.
