Fancy Sheath

Fancy Sheaths debuted at Ebon Gate 2018 at Firio's Fancy Sheaths. They were released by GameMaster Sindin. All of the messaging is not only dependent upon type, but at least two of the tier 1 messaging also differs by stances offensive, neutral, and defensive.

Tier 1

This is the off-the-shelf version of the item and comes with four stance- and type-dependent verb traps.

Analyze

You analyze the bone scabbard and sense that the creator has provided the following information:

Your bone scabbard is part of the Fancy Sheath group and will give special messaging that is of a brutal nature.

It has One (OTS) tiers out of Four possible, which allows access to the following verbs: drop, get, remove, and wear

Customizing this item is easy enough.  It may have the following areas customized:
Throat (current setting is metal)
Inset Gemstone (current setting is gem)
Material Descriptor (current setting is bone)
Strap Descriptor (current setting is leather)

If you GIRD SET (weapon) and use READY LIST to select scabbard as your SHEATH, then GIRD, READY, SHEATH and STOW give the special messaging of Fancy Sheath.

Tier 2

Unlocks four additional fluff verbs which reference the customization aspects of the Fancy Sheath. These are the material for the throat of the sheath and the material for the inset gem.

Your faenor thigh-sheath is part of the Fancy Sheath group and will give special messaging that is of a gallant nature.

It has Two tiers out of Four possible, which allows access to the following verbs: clean, cover, drop, gaze, get, remove, tap, and wear

Customizing this item is easy enough.  It may have the following areas customized:
Throat (current setting is metal)
Inset Gemstone (current setting is gem)
Material Descriptor (current setting is faenor)
Strap Descriptor (current setting is leather)

A slender faenor thigh-sheath can never have a long description.

You can tell that the thigh-sheath's pockets could not possibly get any deeper, but you might be able to have a talented merchant lighten the faenor thigh-sheath for you.

Usage

Tier 3

You can switch the wear-slot of the Fancy Sheath between either thigh and belt, belta nd shoulder, or shoulder and back. You can switch whether the place you are wearing the Fancy Sheath shows up in visible inventory or not. You can switch between cunning/clumsy and gallant/brutal.

Additional Information

Alteration Guidance

Fancy Sheaths must remain fancy. They cannot be made of rotten leather, splintering wood, etc. A crack in the gem or something on that level is fine, but they have to be overall nice.

The gem does not need to be a gem, but it needs to be something plausibly gem-like, small, decorative, and nice, that you would polish.
