Market Stall
Market Stalls debuted at Ebon Gate 2023 and are sold at Market Makers. They were designed by GM Ethereal. Market Stalls can be set up in most rooms for a temporary period of time to sell items placed on them. Unlocks expand the amount of time they can be set up and also reduce the percentage cut that the ghostly shopkeeper tending the stall takes from all sales. Unlocks also expand how many items can be placed for sale and the total amount of silvers that can be stored in a stall from sales.
Tier 1The stall can stand for 1 hour, hold 5 items and 100k silvers, and the shopkeeper takes a 20% cut.AnalyzeYou analyze the stained glass tray and sense that the creator has provided the following information: OVERVIEW Hello there, intrepid adventurer! Additional InformationHelp MenuASK [STALL] FOR HELP displays the help menu for the stall, which also has a full list of commands available. The following is for a fully unlocked stall. You can ask the counter about eight things: SELL, RETURN, BALANCE, WITHDRAW, INVENTORY, BUY, INSPECT, and HELP. SELL {PRICE} - sets an item up for sale, prioritizing your right hand, then left hand. Requires confirmation. INVENTORY - lists the items available for sale at this counter. RETURN {#} - returns an item from the counter's inventory. INSPECT {#} - gives you information about an item in the counter's inventory. BUY {#} - purchases an item from the counter's inventory. Requires confirmation. BALANCE - tells you how many silvers are contained within your counter. WITHDRAW - withdraws all silvers from the counter, splitting some of the proceeds with your shopkeep. TIME - indicates how much time is left before the timer expires. REFRESH - renews the 4 hour timer when the item is deployed. (Tier 5 stalls only). ANNOUNCE - toggles whether or not the stall announces its presence to other rooms. HELP - gives you help with the counter Setting UpThe stall can be set up in most rooms. There is a limit on how many stalls can be set up in a given room, based on the available nouns, which is currently seven. It is impossible to set up stalls with the same noun in the same room, so a single room cannot have two stalls with the noun of "kiosk". The allowed nouns are stand, table, counter, booth, kiosk, stall, and crate. Stalls can only be set up for a specific amount of time based on their tier of unlock. Once that time has expired, the stall will collapse onto the ground and be subject to the janitor or other players picking it up. The only exception to a stall collapsing is for private property owners. Private property owners can set up a single stall on any room of their property indefinitely. Only property owners may place a stall on their property. ShopkeeperThe shopkeeper's personality can be changed via certificate between kind, sleazy, and snooty. MascotAn update to the stall added a mascot that is visible at the end of the stall's LOOK description (if it has one) in the format of: A small wooden GM Tamuz figurine set on the stall's surface holds up a sign that reads, "ASK about our wares!" The mascot can be customized. Sale Item RestrictionsNot all items can be sold via a stall, typically due to some complexity in their script. See Also |
