Usage Information

A spoon does not need to be held. It is used automatically if it is in hand, in the cook's inventory, in the room, or inside an open container the cook is carrying. Using a spoon changes the messaging only, not the result.

Verb Option First Third

Additional Information

  • When stirring a pot or pan without a spoon, the cook swirls the pot by its handle instead, using an oven mitt if one is available.
  • When testing eggs or potatoes, a spatula or knife may be used in place of a spoon.
  • When scooping a serving out of a pot, a ladle is used in preference to a spoon.
  • A spoon is also used in the messaging when emptying a cooking creation out on a Basketifier table.

You could also hold the spoon while you eat, using it as a utensil to eat food.

Restrictions

  • The spoon cannot be lightened or deepened.
  • The spoon may be dyed.
