Verb:TAP

TAP Type Roleplaying, System Wedding Yes System Magic, CHE

The TAP verb is mostly a roleplay verb, although it also activates magic items. Items imbeded via Magic Item Creation (420) using TAP will have a shorter duration than those imbedded using RUB as the activator. Tap is also an activator for the evoked version of Tremors (909).

People targets:
CATHEDRAL WEDDING  - You tap (target) in that special way you know will get
                     his/her attention.
WAVEDANCER WEDDING - You turn to face (target), placing your hands on your hips
                     and tapping your foot expectantly.
CHAPEL WEDDING     - You deftly tap (target) on his/her right shoulder while
                     nimbly ducking out of sight to his/her left with a giggle.
                     (Target) then turns and feigns a look of reproach before
                     returning your grin.
ETERNAL WEDDING    - You tap a single fingertip to your bottom lip as you turn a
                     chastising eye toward (target) and attempt to devise the most
                     appropriate method of discipline for his/her abhorrent behavior.
STANDARD           - You lightly tap (target) on the shoulder.

Self target:
  You tap yourself on the chest.

Object targets:
  You tap (object).

Creature targets:
  You glance at (creature) and tap your foot impatiently.

No target:
  You tap your foot impatiently.

NOTE:  ONLY first person messaging is listed unless it differs substantially from other versions.  Wedding messaging will only work with your spouse, all other targets default to standard messaging.  Messaging without an option shown applies to all options.  Special scripts and areas may override listed messaging.

Note: TAP {object} is standardly used to display an item's long description, most notably after a merchant alters the item.

Cathedral	You tap (target) in that special way you know will get his/her attention.	Husband taps you in that special way he knows will usually get your attention.	Husband taps Wife lightly on her shoulder, then waits impatiently.
Wavedancer	You turn to face (target), placing your hands on your hips and tapping your foot expectantly.	Husband turns to face you, placing his hands on his hips and tapping his foot expectantly.	Husband turns to face Wife, placing his hands on his hips and tapping his foot expectantly.
Chapel	You deftly tap (target) on his/her right shoulder while nimbly ducking out of sight to his/her left with a giggle. (Target) then turns and feigns a look of reproach before returning your grin.	Someone taps you on the right shoulder, but when you turn, nobody is there. You hear a giggle to your left, and you snap your head around to find Husband grinning at you playfully. Husband taps a single fingertip to his bottom lip and levels a chastising stare on you. Behind his eyes, you can almost see his mind working to devise the most appropriate discipline. CHE Use

TAP {portal} : Used by House officers to toggle the ability for non-members to enter your house. This is useful for events where you want to allow everyone to come inside.
