ACT is often used in CHE and MHO games and activities such as parades, skating contests, fashion shows, and dramatic reenactments of historical events. It also comes in handy when one cannot remember the specific verb to do something.

Usage: ACT [options] {action} Where [options] is zero or more of the following: ::{target} - Act with a target specified, such as another player or a nearby object. When acting with a {target} specified, some special rules are applied to the action: @ characters will be replaced by the target's name or short description. To use the possessive form of the name or noun, use @' (not @'s, as @' will automatically include the 's'). The target will see 'your'. # characters will be replaced with a possessive pronoun (his/her/its), as appropriate for the gender of the target. The target will see 'your'. % characters will be replaced with an object pronoun (him/her/it), as appropriate for the gender of the target. The target will see 'you'. Note that these characters will only be replaced if they appear before a space, at the end of your action, or immediately before a period (.), question mark (?), exclamation point (!), semi-colon (;), or comma (,). Example: If you were to enter the following command: act ::naos waves to @ before blowing a kiss in # direction and winking at %! You would see: (XXXX waves to Naos before blowing a kiss in his direction and winking at him!) Naos would see: (XXXX waves to you before blowing a kiss in your direction and winking at you!) Everyone else in the room will see what you see!
