The Wisp Waistcoat is a fluff script that applies to clothing items. It was originally released at Ebon Gate November 2026 by Zenuoie. The following facets are able to be customized by a merchant: normal description and lit description. Tucking a Naidem wisp lantern or coneflower into the worn garment lights it for up to four hours, changing its description and verb messaging and adding glowing ambients.

~*~ Wisp Waistcoat

This watered silk waistcoat can be lit with a wisp lantern from Naidem, even a skeletal one from outside Naidem, or with a Naidem coneflower! While wearing the waistcoat and holding a wisp lantern or coneflower, TWIST the waistcoat to tuck the lantern in. The lantern is consumed and the garment glows for four hours, with ambient messaging while it is worn.
When the light gutters out, the spent lantern remains inside. PLUCK the waistcoat to remove it (PLUCK also puts the light out early), then TWIST in a fresh lantern to light it again.

Verbs: BOW, PULL, PUSH, RUB, SALUTE, SHAKE, STRIDE, TICKLE, TURN, and WAVE.

It is fully alterable, but the fabric form must remain actual fabric. The lit form is also alterable, and the lit description (long and show) can make reference to the garment being lit.

The noun may be changed to any of the following: coatee, coat, doublet, greatcoat, houppelande, jacket, longcoat, overcoat, topcoat, surcoat, vest, or waistcoat. The messaging references a collar, a placket, buttons, seams, an inner pocket, and a lower hem, so the garment should keep those.

The wisp hue (the color named in the messaging) comes from the lantern or coneflower tucked in, so it may only be changed with a different one.
CURRENT SETTINGS:
Normal garment: a dove grey watered silk waistcoat lined in indigo satin
Show of normal garment:

Lit garment: a luminous watered silk waistcoat glimmering with drifting violet wisp lights
Show of lit garment:

Wisp hue: violet
A rose-veined violet wisp lantern is tucked inside and still glowing.

Usage Information

The waistcoat must be worn for its verbs to work. Each verb has one message while the waistcoat is normal and another while it is lit. The examples below use a violet wisp lantern.

Lighting the Waistcoat

While wearing the waistcoat, hold a foraged wisp lantern from Naidem (skeletal lanterns from outside Naidem also work) or a Naidem coneflower, then TWIST the waistcoat. Lanternberries are not accepted. The lantern is consumed and the waistcoat glows for up to four hours. The color named in the messaging comes from the lantern or coneflower used.

When the light runs out, or if the waistcoat is removed while lit, the spent lantern stays inside. You must PLUCK it out before tucking in another. PLUCKing while the waistcoat is still lit puts the light out early. PROD and EXTINGUISH work the same as PLUCK.
