Yathrauniel Illistim was a veteran of the Kiramon War, and was raised to the throne as a reaction to potential threats against Ta'Illistim. The Council of Thrones was primarily concerned with defense at the time, and chose their Argent Mirror on that basis. She was regarded as a hero of the Sapphire Guard, with a keen military mind for tactics, and a focus on fostering the security of the city. Yathrauniel was popular due to these rather martial qualities, in spite of the scholastic nature of Illistim culture, given the violence that had taken place so far in the Age of Chaos.

She assumed the Peacock Throne in -7,759 Modern Era (41,348 Illistim) and presumably abdicated in -7,550 Modern Era (41,557 Illistim). She ruled for 209 years.

On either side of the polished copper arch leading into the chamber are two tall displays, each fronted with glass. Their copper fittings match the trim on several cases, whose contents are clothing both modern and historical. A square tile is inset into the floor in the center of the room.

>look gauntlet
The single gauntlet has a silver cast, though its base is a less malleable iron alloy. Each finger is segmented and affixed to the larger glove, the joins marked with cabochon sapphires. The gem at the thumb juncture is larger than the others and carved, intaglio, with a peacock pavonated. Next to the gauntlet is a small plaque.

>read gauntlet
In the Common language, it reads:
Argent Mirror Yathrauniel never lost her affinity for the trappings of a Sapphire Guardswoman, even after officially leaving the ranks to rule. She made few concessions to court dress and insisted on wearing, at the least, a breastplate and gauntlets with all of her formal gowns. The mate to this gauntlet was lost during the Second Nalfein-Turamzzyrian War, when it was in transport aboard the doomed Leaf On the Wind.
