Description
Find opportunities to follow up your jab attacks with additional jabs at other adjacent foes.Mechanics
When under its effects, you automatically follow up on your jab attacks with additional jabs against other foes in the same area. There is a 50% chance of making a second jab at rank 1, and a 75% chance at rank 2. At rank 3, there is a 75% chance of making a second jab attack, and a 50% chance of a third jab if the second is successful.Additional Information
Flurry of Blows is a combat maneuver available to Monks only. It is one of several CMs classified as a Martial Stance. The multi-targeting benefits from this CM are limited to Unarmed Combat System (UCS) JAB attacks.
All martial stance CMs, including Flurry of Blows, have refreshable durations of 4 hours. However, only one martial stance CM may be active at a time. Flurry will remain active until either its duration ends, it is replaced by another martial stance, or the character dies. Flurry of Blows remaining duration is displayed with the SPELL ACTIVE command.
There is a 20 stamina cost at the initial activation or when refreshed. There is no additional stamina cost when used with JAB attacks.
Monks using unarmed combat have the opportunity to freely (no additional roundtime (RT)) make simultaneous JAB attacks against two or three foes. Since Flurry of Blows is a passive ability that essentially runs in the background, there are no additional command requirements.
Syntax
- CMAN FLURRY (not case sensitive) - this will activate the martial stance for the initial 4 hour duration and can also be used to refresh the duration.
- JAB or JAB <TARGET> during combat.
Additional Jab Attack Chance
The following table contains the percentage chance for jab attacks against second and/or third foes in the area.
Rank | JAB Second Foe | JAB Third Foe |
---|---|---|
1 | 50% | X |
2 | 75% | X |
3 | 75% | 50% |

You attempt to jab a bone golem! You have decent positioning against a bone golem. UAF: 72 vs UDF: 71 = 1.014 * MM: 88 + d100: 70 = 159 … and hit for 4 points of damage! Fast slap only reddens the cheek. Strike leaves foe vulnerable to a followup punch attack! You quickly pivot and follow up with a jab against a death dirge! You have decent positioning against a death dirge. UAF: 72 vs UDF: 66 = 1.090 * MM: 98 + d100: 3 = 109 ... and hit for 1 point of damage! Lackluster jab to the mid-back. Roundtime: 3 sec.
