The test server is an out of character (OOC) instance of GemStone IV that contains the entire Prime game and is open for subscribers to test out different builds and mechanics. All Prime data is occasionally uploaded to the test server so that players can test an up-to-date version of their character(s), and instant skill migration is turned on so that characters, regardless of level or when they were generated, behave as though they are new characters in the first 20 levels of existence. Because the Test server is only periodically resynced, any newly created or recently reactivated characters may not be accessible yet.
A few commands exist in the test server to help players not have to deal with the everyday challenges of Prime:
- HEALME will remove injuries and restore all health, stamina, and spirit, as well as all daily uses of MANA SPELLUP. This command can't be used while engaged or very recently engaged in active combat.
- HEALME TELEPORT is similar to the above, but only works while dead and will transport the character to the room in which they would have arrived if they had departed.
- DEMO TELEPORT will transport a character instantly to a drop point in the region specified.
- DEMO PROFPOINTS will grant yourself 50,000 profession points. This command has no cap on usage.
- LEVELUP If you're under level 100, it will set you +1 level. If you're level 100, it will give you enough experience for your next set of training points and enough ascension experience for your next ATP. (The command won't always be active, but for the current set of testing going on, it will be.)
