Thaumaturge Tome

Thaumaturge Tome's were introduced at the Grand Auction of 5123 on March, 26, 2023. The Thaumaturge Tome was designed and coded by GM Auchand. GM Auchand has said that up to Tier 4 Thaumaturge Tomes will be released at the upcoming Duskruin that usually takes place in August, but that Tier 5 will remain of "exceptional rarity." At tier 5, you can have 10 verbs unlocked but not all of the verbs listed to the right. This is intentional for each tome to retain some uniqueness. All combat action SMR success is level based. The combat actions occur automatically if the tome has ANIMA, the tome is flying via RAISE, and an enemy is present. You may LOOK at the tome to determine how much ANIMA has been infused into it. You may do this when the tome is in your hand or it is flying. Bound by covers of aged dark leather, the tome's front cover is inlaid with a winking red stone set in an oval of gold. The pages are trimmed in a dusting of gilt. The tome is currently infused with 222 anima. Tier 1 (Spellglider) Analyze This item is a Thaumaturge Tome. It can be altered, but it must remain a tome, folio, ledger, or some other type of book. It has the following capabilities: RAISE: makes the tome come alive and attack for you. Can only be activated if the tome contains at least 5 anima. PUT: places a scroll in the tome, consuming it for anima (max 250). Uses syntax PUT {SCROLL} IN {TOME}. TELL: select zest verbs from the following list, with syntax TELL {TOME} TO UNLOCK {VERB}. ATTEND, FLIP, GAZE, HUG, LICK, PEER, POKE, PONDER, RUB, SQUINT, SMELL, TAP, THUMP, and TURN. Combat Action - Tactical Tutelage: Grants +5 DS / +3 TD per tier for 1 min every 5 mins. Cost: 3 anima.
