When a player is vaporized in an implosion, the following usually occurs in a nearby town:

High above, a small speck begins to grow, after several moments it becomes apparent that some large object is speeding down! A local townswoman who has also seen this runs away yelling, "THE SKY IS FALLING!" just as a massive gelatinous lump of flesh lands on the ground, splattering the surroundings with globs of gore.

The critical kills of implosion are quite spectacular (however, the result is no corpse to loot):

Implosion creates a violent tear in the fabric of the material word, causing an evacuation of all of the air around the target(s), subjecting them to vacuum injuries. This is especially horrific to the target who is next to the empty fissure, but can be damaging and disorienting to others within the vicinity.

Spell Cast

  • PREP 720|CAST {target} to cast at a single target.

When casting, the spell requires a target in which the spell should be anchored around.  This target is automatically knocked prone and stunned if not immune to those status or over 10 levels higher than the caster.  After the knockdown, an SMRv2 attack is made against the target.  On hit, the target is hit with a large concussion damage round as well as 2 cycles of vacuum damage, both of which have very high possible critical caps.  If the creature survives, it has the disoriented status effect.

Following the assault on the target, the effects of the void ripple to the rest of the room, causing a major elemental wave of vacuum damage to targets chosen by the multi-target system.  This cast can always hit flying targets.  Each creature hit by the wave will have the disoriented status effect.

This spell has a 30 second cooldown.

Instant Vaporization Chance

Training in Sorcerous Lore, Demonology provides a chance for target to be completely vaporized by the void, leading to instant death on a seed 1 summation of ((Sorcerous Lore, Demonology ranks - 10) / 2). If the SMR margin is less than 50, this chance is reduced by 2% of the base chance per each marginal point. For example, if the caster had a base 10% chance to kill the target, but the SMR result was 140, the death chance would be reduced to 8% (losing 20% of base). With a warding result of 125, the chance would be reduced to 5%.

Voidweaver Buff

For every creature killed by either the targeted attack or the area wave attack, the caster gets 1 stack of the Voidweaver buff.

Each subsequent cast by that caster consumes a stack of the buff and applies (level / 15)x acuity flare and 1s cast RT to the cast spell.

Training in Sorcerous Lore, Demonology grants an additional stack of the buff at 90 ranks, and another additional stack at 180 ranks.
