<prelog2>~*~ Man-on-Fire Waistcoat

This charcoal wool doublet will react to fiery spells being cast at it and transform into a fiery garment!
While in this state it has ambient messaging. PROD it to put the flames out early.

Verbs: BOW, PONDER, PULL, PUSH, RUB, SASHAY, SHAKE, TICKLE, TURN, and WAVE.

It is fully alterable, but the fabric form must remain actual fabric. The fiery form is also alterable, and the on-fire description (long and show) can make reference to the garment being on fire.

The noun may be changed to any of the following: coatee, coat, doublet, greatcoat, houppelande, jacket, longcoat, overcoat, topcoat, surcoat vest, or waistcoat. The messaging references a collar, lapels, a placket, and buttons, so the garment should keep those.

The flame color may also be customized. There's more room than the traditional 15, so color descriptions needn't be one word only, but let's keep it reasonable. "azure and silver" = Okay. "gold-hearted scarlet" = Okay.
Brightly luminescent absinthe green-tinged aquamarine and cerulean = Too much. Exercise common sense!

CURRENT SETTINGS:

Usage Information
The doublet must be worn for its verbs to work. Each verb has one message while the doublet is normal and another while it is on fire. The examples below use the default crimson flame color.

Setting the Doublet on Fire
While wearing the doublet, cast one of the following fire spells at it: Fire Spirit (111), Immolation (519), Minor Fire (906), Major Fire (908), Flaming Aura (1706), or Firestorm (1715). You need enough mana for the spell, but none is spent and the spell has no other effect. The doublet burns for up to four hours. Casting again while it burns restarts the four hours. The fire ends early if the doublet is removed or PRODded.

The Fiery doublet is a fluff script that applies to clothing items, and is part of the Fiery gown family of scripts. It was originally released at Ebon Gate Festival November 2026 by Zenuoie. The following facets are able to be customized by a merchant: flame color, normal description and on fire description. Casting a fire spell at the worn garment sets it ablaze for up to four hours, changing its description and verb messaging and adding fiery ambients.
