Favor is a unit of power accessible to members of the Order of Voln. Favor can be used to advance in the Order of Voln or power symbols.

Favor is measured in terms of units of favor, a fabricated term (one that does not appear in-game) created to explain the hidden system of favor gain. A unit of favor is the amount of favor granted by killing a single level 1 undead by oneself. Favor gain is linear; that is, killing a single wind wraith generates precisely as much favor as killing 60 lesser ghouls.

In Wehnimer's Landing, a Voln Master can measure favor through the number of spins on the globe in the Master's hall, which is approximately 250 units of favor. In River's Rest, there is some sort of way to do it, too.

Receiving favor

When a member of the Order of Voln bears witness to the destruction of an undead creature, that member receives favor.

Receiving favor due to the destruction of an undead
You hear a sound like a weeping child as a white glow separates itself from the skeletal lord's body as it rises, disappearing into the heavens.

A Master (rank 26 member) of the Order of Voln can use the globe to obtain favor if he or she does not currently have any favor. One must KNEEL (verb), TOUCH (verb), and KISS (verb) the globe to obtain this favor. This grants about half of a spin, or about 125 levels of favor, and consumes 1 deed.
