I thought it was posted recently, or an old post was brought up, about how perception does affect the chance of finding gems, or other special treasure, on creatures such as kiramon, glacei, darken, etc.? I'll try and get around to asking Mestys a definate answer on this. I'm sure he'd know. [[User:DRIZZT-12|Adam]] [[User talk:DRIZZT-12|talk]] 15:29, 8 February 2007 (EST)

I removed the reference to perception improving skinning. To my knowledge, there is nothing in the official docs, past GM statements, or player research that has supported this.

I'd like to quote Belathus's statement regarding perception affecting open aimed swings using the ambush command. If anyone has anything to add, as in the degree to which perception plays in this calculation, I'd like to know more about it.

"For the open swing, three skills determine your chance of hitting where you aim: Perception, Ambush, and Combat Maneuvers."
