The '''throwable shield''' (colloquially referred to as the '''Captain Elanthia Shield''') was first released at the [[Great Auction of 2016]]. Another was sold as ''a golvern targe displaying concentric rings of crimson and navy'' at the [[Grand Auction of 5123]]; this one is also a [[martial knowledge item]] that grants 5 ranks of the [[Combat Maneuver]] known as [[Shield Bash]].


The shield can be used to attack targets when it is {{boldmono|KICK}}ed or {{boldmono|THROW}}n and can hit up to 3 targets. The {{boldmono|KICK}} and {{boldmono|THROW}} commands are subject to a cooldown of 45 seconds and an additional 15 seconds for each target that is hit. Every 50 ranks of MOC can lower the cooldown by 15 seconds down to a minimum of 45 seconds.
The Captain Elanthia Shield is inspired by a certain comic book character and some popular movies. The shield was first released at the Great Auction of 2016 and more recently at the Grand Auction of 5123. The shield sold at the Grand Auction of 5123 was "a golvern targe displaying concentric rings of crimson and navy" and a [[Martial_knowledge_item|Martial Knowledge Item]] that grants 5 ranks of [[Combat_Maneuvers|Combat Maneuvers]] [[Shield_Bash|Shield Bash]].

The throwable shield (colloquially referred to as the Captain Elanthia Shield) was first released at the Great Auction of 2016. Another was sold as a golvern targe displaying concentric rings of crimson and navy at the Grand Auction of 5123; this one is also a martial knowledge item that grants 5 ranks of the Combat Maneuver known as Shield Bash.
