A chaos mirror shard is a new item found in February 2026's Duskruin Arena Battle Vault and was created by GM Wyrom.

The shard of chaotic urnon is a 1x/week summoning tool that lets you face a like-leveled demon based on your character's profession and race. During each run of Duskruin (aka twice a year), you can add an additional use per week, up to a maximum of 10x/week. This item will be available in the Battle Vaults for the next 5 years following its release. There may be other opportunities to gain additional usages after their debut, such as the feeders, auctions, and special releases. They will also get more flavorful the more you unlock them.

In addition to setting the shard to summon a parallel version of your character, you can also set the shard to another person and face a version of them. They must be online for this to work. It will take their likeness (profession or race) into account. You will see who it is, but no one else. You cannot direct it at a GameMaster.

Don't want it? BREAK it for a violet orb that is character attuned. Once the shards have been combined with additional shards (so after the February 2026 run), you won't be able to break the combined one, but you can always break a new one.

This is a special item from that can summon a demon to your location.  It will be a like-level foe that uses the profession and race to set up its difficulty.  It cannot be used in areas that creatures shouldn't be in.

Question: If I already bought my vault, do I need to buy a new one?
No, the item in the vault that released on February 6, 2026 was a placeholder for the shard. Once all updates are done, it will auto convert for you.
Question: Each run of Duskruin, you can add an additional use per week, with a max of 10x/week. Is this done by combining shards from different DR run's vaults?
Yes.
Question: More importantly, can we summon one and then run away? Join up with other players to create an invading army of demons?
It uses the chase mechanics and is only harmful to the summoner.
Question: Surprised no one asked yet but, is there any extra reward or benefit for killing the inverted, so I assume good, version of myself?
This is for fun. For now.
Question: So am I reading this right that the urnon will be the vault item for the next 9 runs? Or will it be shards for the next 9 runs AND a different vault item?
Yes. The goal for the vaults will be the same for each event, 1 item with future unlocks for 3 to 5 years.
Question: So many questions! Does it just spawn a public demon? Can others battle it? Can we increase the difficulty on it?
The main reflection you summon is not a demonic creature profile. But there is a rare event that will bring out something else.
Question: Is there drops or anything from the 1x a week summons?
The flavor will be in future updates when it hits certain thresholds.
Question: Can you summon the demon inside the arena/in the gauntlet/inside a bungalow/in a shell?
Normal creature spawning mechanics are required. So sanctuaries and such won't work. The area has to allow magic and locate too, which might not be obvious to everyone.
Question: Will your self-foe summon with your current spells / buffs applied?
No, it just does its best to make a creature based on your profession. Something I can maybe figure out in a future update.
