==Lore Benefits== |

Necromancy Lore potentially affects the results in three ways: |
|||
# Increased hitpoint damage |
|||
# Increased target roundtime |
|||
# Lower endroll thresholds |
|||
Necromancy Lore increases the potency of the magic by reducing warding thresholds required to achieve each level of pain's effect. A minimum of 0.3 ranks per level is required to achieve the full effect of 35% health loss and 7 seconds RT with endrolls of +166 or greater. With one rank per level (1x) of necromancy lore the endroll requirement for maximum damage/RT is reduced from +166 to +141. Lore training above one rank per level has no additional affect. |
|||
Example: A level 30 sorcerer with 15 ranks (0.5 per level) of Necromancy Lore casts Pain at a target. With an endroll of 125 the target will sustain an HP loss of 29% of its maximum health. The associated messaging will be {Target} is wracked with painful spasms! and the target will also incur 4 seconds of RT. |

|||
This spell will cause between 20-35% of target’s maximum health to be lost, and it will cause up to seven seconds of hard round time. The exact amount of health lost and round time incurred is directly dependent on the caster’s training in Sorcerous Lore, Necromancy and the warding failure from the cast. At .8x in Sorcerous Lore, Necromancy, 35% of health maximum health will be lost and the full seven seconds of round time will be incurred on an endroll of 141 or greater. Below is a link to the research done by Gespry, which outlines the warding thresholds and their correlating damage and round time based on a sorcerer's training and the messaging. |

Pain is a warding attack spell that will cause the target extreme amounts of pain resulting in (1) a minimum health loss of 20% of the target's maximum health, and (2) the potential to placing the target in 3 to 7 seconds of roundtime (RT), temporarily incapacitating it. Pain does not cause any critical wounds. A higher warding failure and training in Sorcerous Lore, Necromancy can increase both health loss and the target's RT penalty.
Pain is capped at 200 damage per cast.
The tables are a product of Gespry's research on Pain.

Lore Benefits
Necromancy Lore potentially affects the results in three ways:
Necromancy Lore increases the potency of the magic by reducing warding thresholds required to achieve each level of pain's effect. A minimum of 0.3 ranks per level is required to achieve the full effect of 35% health loss and 7 seconds RT with endrolls of +166 or greater. With one rank per level (1x) of necromancy lore the endroll requirement for maximum damage/RT is reduced from +166 to +141. Lore training above one rank per level has no additional affect.
